I have stayed in this hotel at least 7 or 8 times. I go skiing in the same hotel every year, so I know a lot of the staff. Everyone is very friendly. The hotel facilities and facilities are great. The only downside is that the restaurant is so average. It has not improved over the years.

The hotel service fee is very good. The room is sad. There are many parking spaces. The breakfast is very rich. The view is okay. It is worth coming here. The hotel price is relatively expensive.

Visiting the Spa “nescens” at the Alpengold Hotel was a nice and relaxing experience. I had two vouchers for a half day Spa (4 hrs entry) and a 60 min. massage. My friend booked a half day Spa entry for CHF 70 and a 30 min massage for CHF 120. After a warm welcome at the reception desk each of us got a bathrobe and single use slippers. After changing into our swimsuits and putting on bathrobe and slippers, we were led to the Beauty area where we were welcomed by two masseuses one for each for us. After filling out the "medical" form, we were led each by her own masseuse to the massage room. Soft music was playing, and the massage was relaxing and soothing. After the treatment we went to the Pool area which is a small indoor swimming pool and a small outdoor swimming pool, with massage nozzles, which is heated at 34°C. There are lounge chairs by the indoor pool, a Samovar for hot tea, as well as fresh Lemon water. Bath towels as much as you need. All in all, very comfortable. The only “downer” were the kids jumping into the indoor pool all the time – no chance to relax. Frankly – with a fee of CHF 70 for 4 hrs Spa area (no treatments included!, I think there should be rules, that guests are having a quiet place to relax after a treatment. As a member of leading Hotels of the World it is not the first time for me spending some time overnight, or for wellness at a 5* Hotel. And I am used to a quiet area in a Spa. On the other hand, security for guests at the pool is high. A staff member was all the time mopping the water off the tiles, which was left from the kids jumping into the pool. I would like to thank for this care and foresight. Don’t miss the chance experiencing this Spa, with wonderful mountain view and very good, friendly, and helpful staff as well as very well-trained and friendly masseuses.

For starting Davos worth it, the city and mountains are great. A nice place for a holiday. Regarding the hotel. In general the hotel has a good architecture and decor. Upscale designer furniture everywhere, with big and comfortable spaces to chill around. The room is big, I like the decor, even though that for the Alps mood I prefer rooms with more (a lot of) wood. The service I think it was ok. All the people helping at the lobby were nice and helpful. The pool/sauna/gym are is nice but I've seen better. What I didn't like, and not acceptable for a 5-star hotel, and for the price they charging are the following: 1. The breakfast is bad, very bad. Is a breakfast buffet. They fill the options with the cheapest things possible. All the premium stuff isn't there. Things you normally find in top hotels. As for example, they didn't have nuts (just have pecans), no seeds (chia, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds), no goji, no berries (just the fruits you find in a 3-star hotel), not premium oat milk (just a not good oat milk), no good sour dough breads, no plant-based yogurt, no green juice, no peanut butter or any type of nut butter, no dates. Basically, everything that is a bit more expensive, they don't have. Totally clear they want to save there. 2. The towels and sheets. My sheets had a hole. Very worn towels. 3. The cleaning of the room, not good. They left used glasses in the room. 4. The balcony need better and cozier furniture. Just two hard chairs only useful to hang dirty/wet clothes. 5. Bathroom amenities don't feel premium.

A really beautiful statement hotel, staff all very friendly and some went above and beyond to help us. Highly recommend a room overlooking Davos itself (mesmerising!). I was never cold in this hotel, the temperature in the room was easily controlled. Mini bar was complementary :) . Bathroom spacious and shower cubicle large and shower really powerful (fantastic!). Spa is very clean and well maintained with the additional area for fruit, water and tea. Very quiet area to relax is upstairs in the spa. Luckily the spa/pool and sauna/steam room fairly quiet during the days for us. For breakfast there was a large selection to eat which was beautifully presented and service of cooked food was quickly brought to our table. The only things I felt were missing was large cups/mugs in the hotel room for a big hot drink. Also we would have liked firmer pillows as the ones we had were extremely sinkably soft. These are just minor things. Bed itself was extremely large and very comfortable.

Bit late putting this review in. 18 th August 2022 one night stay whilst driving through European countries raising funds for SSAFA (British charity) with group in about 50 cars. Spa facilities superb. Security excellent. Facilities immaculately clean and rooms very comfortable. Dissapointed no abiiity to change money at hotel and restaurant ludicrously expensive.

Unprepared, rude and condescending staff, as someone who has been to multiple la reserve properties, Alpengold was extremely disappointing overpriced experience, you are better off staying in a 4 star downtown…
