Glenavon House Hotel

One of the best hotels we have stayed at we were at the cookstown 100 road races stayed here for 2 nights never have stayed before the staff were second to none 100 / 100 Carmel and Michelle in the restaurant unbelievable. The food was out of this world and very well priced we plan another trip to cookstown just because we loved the hotel so much check out amazing Catrina was so effect quickest checkout ever

We booked in for a weekend for my 70th birthday and we had a fantastic time!!! It was all family and a couple friends but from check-in through to check-out it was great. The staff are fantastic, nothing too hard for them. Niall in the kitchen is so lovely and all elements of breakfast are superb. Thank you Glenavon Hotel for making my 70th birthday so special xxx

Myself my partner & 7 friends returned to the genavon house hotel for St Patrick's weekend with this been my 15th year at the hotel for the celebrations. I can't fault the hotel this year as per other years we have been welcomed & treated like part of the family. I would 100% recommend this hotel and have already booked again for next years St patricks weekend can't wait to return

Visited the hotel on St Patrick's Day, and asked would it be possible to get food. Ladies on reception advised they where fully booked, but would check. Then advised to go to Dungannon and Omagh. Which I thought was strange as you'd imagine Tea or Coffee would be offered to keep a customer rather than trying to send them to an alternative location. Advised via phone call to reception that the request of 1 Child's Dinner was not possible as too busy. I then went to restaurant myself to check just to clarify that they heard me correctly, and it was only for 1 child and not my entire family, and we were happy to sit anywhere in hotel. In the Cellar Bar, an unknown lady (then found out to be hotel owner) shouted at the young lad I asked to check. Telling him "He was told no" I entered the bar, and told the woman no need to shout at that lad, I was just checking you knew it was for 1 child and not my entire family. She snapped I Heard you, you need to learn to listen. I then asked are you a manger? Her response I'm Pauline Wilson I own the place. I responded god help the hotel, if thats how you treat customers. I again stated you do know what I'm asking for, 1 child's dinner? Her response we only do Carvery on a Sunday. I advised you're lying what if someone wants chicken goujons is that not possible? I advised her the reason we'd chosen the hotel, was they had been so accommodating before to my son's dietary requirements (GF + DF) and made him Grilled Chicken, Boiled Potatoes and Peas with no issue. Her response you didn't get that in here on a Sunday. I advised you're actually wrong. I did, as my wife and I had the carvery. The manager then snapped well it wouldn't have been a busy Sunday if you got that. At this point there was 1 Man in main reception, 3-4 customers at the bar, and about 6 people sitting in a snug. I don't think anyone would class that as busy. The manager then told me, I can't just ramroad in anywhere and demand. Let me point out at no point did I demand, I just seeked clarity, and was met with this attitude. Moral of story - avoid at all costs, and give your money to somewhere that doesn't speak to customers like that, worryingly in front of other customers.

Wife and I have stayed overnight at this place quite a few times over the past few years and cannot speak highly enough of it.The food, staff, rooms, and club Riviera are all top notch and we are really looking forward to our next visit in the next few weeks.😁😁👍

My daughter and I stayed for two nights here and it was a great choice. Breakfasts were great and the bar was well stocked and not overpriced for a hotel. The staff at the bar, dining (the cellar) and reception could not do enough for us during our stay. Our stay made travelling from England to NI for a family funeral easier to deal with. Thank you to all the staff at the Glenavon.

Lovely meal at The Glenavon Hotel this evening with a friend. We had the 4 course Chris**as menu which was £29.95 per person. It was lovely, really good variety to choose from and everything we got was delicious. The mushroom starter was especially delicious and a really good portion size. Staff were so attentive and pleasant, I cannot speak highly enough of them. Would highly recommend here for a meal out

We were there as an extended family group (26 people) for a pre-Chris**as family get-together. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Chris**as and everyone was in a festive mood. We were very surprised at how busy it was but also impressed by the professionalism of all the staff who remained calm and pleasant throughout. It was obvious that it was a great team effort! We were in the Cellar Restaurant and enjoyed the Chris**as Set Dinner Menu. The food was delicious, and the service was great as well. We were also able to have some relaxed family time after the meal, in different parts of the hotel. So well done to all the staff, including the Reception Staff, who helped make it a lovely family evening.
