B&B HOTEL Köln-Messe

Cologne|1.3km from Kapelle Hll. Drei Könige
Terrible experience at this hotel. No hot water on the first morning, took cold showers. Asked at the desk about it on our way out, and the desk agent pretended not to know anything about it, but that he would check and follow up with us. Returned that night, no follow up, so assumed all was fixed. 2nd morning, still no hot water. Enquired at the desk again, this time they acknowledged that the whole building had no hot water for the 2nd day. Desk agent promised follow up again, that management was discussing compensation. Pointed out that no one followed up yesterday, but was assured that he would. Returned that evening to no follow up from anyone again. At check out, asked what the resolution would be, agent didn't know we had any problem. When asked about the lack of hot water for 2 full days, the agent said we should have spoken to them at the time!!! I explained that we had, but he again could do nothing and promised a follow up by email from the hotel manager. Needless to say, that follow up never came again! I emailed their head office about what was going on with the problems at the hotel, and the complete failure of customer service. They replied to me that they were pleased there was a ”quick solution” of the problem!!! They didn't feel that there was any call for compensation for either the lack of hot water, or the hotels response!! They begrudgingly offered a €20 voucher toward a future stay! Lol. They clearly need that €20 more than me, they can keep it!! Find a different hotel to stay, the B&B clearly feels that the new Customer Service is No Service.

A young couple on the way, she likes music, he likes atomic fragmentation. Together they enjoy life. Nowhere we should forget our children, peace, God! We thanks the Niu Hotel for the jorney in Cologne. A smell without compare. A wish to come true.

Had a wonderful 3-night stay at this lovely property. Located just a stone’s throw away from Köln Messe/Deutz station, which was very convenient for us who travelled directly from Frankfurt Airport. Its surrounding was peaceful and quiet. Checking-in by Clemens was a breeze. Clemens was friendly and answered all our queries with patience. He also gave us helpful information on dining options in the vicinity. Our courtyard facing Studio room was spacious and quiet, had every amenity we needed for a comfortable stay. We used the washer and dryer every night and it was definitely a great to have. USB charging ports and power points could be found on both sides of the bed and at sitting area. Internet speed was fast. Was able to screen mirroring with my device and hence we were able to enjoy watching Netflix on the big TV screen. Daily housekeeping had also done a wonderful job of keeping our room clean, replacing our used towels and replenishing the laundry detergent. There was a small indoor pool but we didn’t have the time to use it. Our room didn’t come with breakfast, but we did try it out on one morning. Found that it was a tad overpriced at €22 as the spread wasn’t big and choices were pretty limited, the only disappointment we had of this property. Overall a fantastic stay and is value for money. Would strongly recommend this property to anyone who is visiting Cologne.

Five-star praise to Ctrip, because the ticket rescheduled to refund one night, the hotel refunded 10%, the rest of Ctrip refunded. For the hotel, in addition to being more rigid in this regard, the breakfast is not very good, the others are still very satisfied. Clean and tidy, you can walk to the Cologne Exhibition Center and Daoyitz Railway Station, and it is quiet and the environment is beautiful, especially like the scenery outside the window.

The hotel is the most cost-effective hotel in the entire Cologne exhibition hall area. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the tram Cologne exhibition hall station to the hotel and halfway through the German chain LIDL cheap supermarket. After Ctrip prepays the room rate, you do not need to pay a deposit when you arrive at the front desk of the hotel. In addition, the city tax of 5[%] of the additional room rate does not need to be paid in advance. Consumer psychology is very comfortable. The decoration style of the hotel rooms is white and modern. The rooms are also equipped with desks. The entire area is very spacious and comfortable. The hotel also carefully puts German welcome gummy on the pillows of the guest beds. Like most German hotels, the hotel does not provide toothbrushes but shower gel and shampoo. In addition, the water in the shower room is a bit slow and congested. I have stayed in the ibis hotel in the same area before, the price is 100-300 yuan more expensive than this hotel, the room area is only half the size of this hotel, and it is very simple. Generally speaking, if you come to Cologne to participate in the exhibition and the budget for accommodation is limited, this hotel is definitely the first choice.

I would like to congratulate the staff as I stayed during the Covid epidemic as a flight crew and it was obviously not a normal experience for all. Staff were friendly (not always the case at the moment) and helpful. While social distancing in the restaurant wasn’t ever going to be a pleasant meal the food was good and appreciated. Many thanks.

Booked a room at a non-refundable rate. We were informed after payment that our room number will be 1 (it is located on the 1st floor). However, when we arrived we were given keys to the 12th room on the 4th floor. There is no elevator in the hotel and we, with a small child and 2 suitcases, went up the stairs to the 4th floor, after which my husband had an asthma attack. For the convenience of the room - the room is tiny, the bed is one double (the three of us were already cramped), there is no kettle, no refrigerator, wi-fi worked, the room has a small table and 1 chair, toilet and shower, 3 towels. Room price includes breakfast. It was excellent, freshly sliced from sausage, cheese, salad greens, milk, pastries, coffee beans, toasts and jam. The hotel is located near the airport (2-stop S-19 train) in the Kalk chapel. Taxi to the airport 30 euros.
