Sireeampan Boutique Resort and Spa

Huay Kaew Chiang Mai|1.81km from The Highland People Discovery Museum
We had a wonderful stay at Sireempan. The hotel itself is quiet and beautiful, with a koi pond and lots of nice sitting nooks throughout the property. But what makes this hotel stand out from the rest is the amazing hospitality provided by the staff. New was our “host” during our stay (basically our go-to person if we ever had questions, etc), and he went out of his way to make sure we had the most comfortable, seamless stay. E.g., we had to get covid tests the morning of our flight back to the US, and he was able to locate a hospital that offered the service and coordinate a driver to take us there and back. They also provide a lot of thoughtful touches, like having delicious snacks and drinks ready upon arrival, complimentary transportation to and from the airport, making a photo souvenir of us standing in front of the resort with a cute Sireempan picture frame, etc. I didn’t catch the names of the other hotel staff, but each one of them was so friendly, helpful, and attentive to our needs. Anyway, I thought the customer service/hospitality aspect deserved its own highlight, but here are some other quick pros and cons: Pros: -The food at this hotel (especially breakfast) is AMAZING. They offer complimentary breakfast at any time of day, anywhere of your choosing on the property. We would usually choose to eat breakfast by the koi pond and it was so peaceful and serene. Also, the coffee was delicious! -Clean rooms with the most comfortable bed. Another big plus was that there weren’t any bugs in the rooms, which was not the case with the other resorts we’ve stayed at in Thailand (especially resorts like this, where each room opens up to the outside). -Has a spa, fitness center, swimming pool, etc. Unfortunately, we were only in Chiang Mai for 3 days and were out and about sightseeing most of the day, so we didn’t have time to use these facilities. But they looked like they’d be amazing and it was nice to know there was that option if we did want to use them. -Complimentary features like free water bottles/mini bar items, slippers they provide during your stay, transportation into the city, etc. were nice and convenient. Cons: -WiFi for our specific room wasn’t the fastest, but you can use any of Sireempan’s WiFi networks using the same password (the other ones were quicker for us). -You’re relatively close to the airport, so you’ll hear planes flying by every once in a while. This was barely noticeable to us, but worth mentioning for people sensitive to noise. -Toilet flush was a bit weak/you had to hold it down for several seconds to actually flush it. Again, just a small nitpicky thing because it’s hard to think of many other cons with Sireempan. Overall, we loved our stay here and would definitely return!

Stayed 3 nights in January 2024. Hotel is located on a quiet street and the area is also quiet. Room was spacious, clean and in good condition.

I stayed at Yellow Pillow with my friends for a few days and we loved the hotel. The staff were charming and took great care of us - it felt like a B&B in the North of Thailand. The rooms were very spacious and felt luxurious; the bathroom was incredible. Overall, a GREAT stay and I'd return. It was a little far from the center of Chiang Mai, but you can always use Grab or get a motorbike.

Environment: The location is a little out of the way. You basically have to take a taxi to get anywhere, but the price is around 100 baht. It's very cheap. You can wait for a taxi within 8 minutes by taking a Bolt taxi. Service: 5 stars for the waiters. Everyone is greeted with a smile. Very comfortable. The hotel is basically filled with Chinese tourists. The waiters also speak Chinese very well. There is no barrier to communication. Hygiene: There are only small bugs in the room. Hygiene is not good.

Everything was great with this apartment hotel. We even booked an extra 2 weeks. They cleaned thoroughly everyday and the view was beautiful. However, upon leaving, they said the cover for the T.V remote was missing and I should pay 350 baht to replace the entire remote. I can't see how it was completely missing from the apartment. They only told us once our cab had already arrived, so we couldn't even go up and look for it ourselves. An upsetting end to an otherwise great stay.

To tell the truth, the location of this hotel is good, the internal environment is also pretty good, the sister at the front desk is nice and gentle, the only problem is that the mattress is too hard, it is a bit exaggerated to say that lying like a washboard, but it is definitely not comfortable Adding a cushion or quilt costs 100 baht. This is the only flaw in the beauty and it can affect all experiences. I hope the hotel can improve and make the beds ”normal”.

The first impression if you see this small hotel is cute. However during my stay it is obvious that there is no knowledge about hospitality. It starts in the room, spacious enough but poor decoration. Just standard with lots of concrete. The bathroom, also spacious but only cold water at the sink. Nice bath but no hot water unless you wait and wait and wait. Shower different story, take a while before there is hot water, but than the water is so hot that you can not take a normal shower. As soon as you add cold water than the water flow get poor without pressure. With arrival the room was not clean, on top of the wardrobe was waste from the quest before. Overall not clean enough. Stay here for the second time just to see if they make progress on service but unfortunately no improvements. My first stay they did not clean the room in the morning, this stay the same. Maybe is the standard here to clean only when you leave after check out? So please with some small investment and training your hotel can be a lovely place.
