We were stopping twice on our way back to London from near Nice. We came through Vence then scenic mountainous roads to Grenoble. I'd wanted an overnight stop either there or somewhere East of Lyon (to avoid the dreaded A6). Villebois was perfect. It's got quite a grand history due to its stone quarries and there's clearly some serious Lyon money pouring in now. A Deux Pas is right in the centre, with plenty of secure parking and only has a few rooms. Ours was quite grand, with a comfy bed and large bathroom. The owner booked a local restaurant for us and we had a pleasant stroll round the town at sunset time. In the morning an excellent breakfast set us up nicely for the drive to Saint Quentin.

Je recommande vivement cette chambre d'hôte ou ma fille et moi avons passé un agréable séjour. L'accueil est très chaleureux. Les lieux invitent à la détente dans un cadre bucolique avec la cerise sur le gâteau la piscine incroyable.
Chambre décorée avec gout où rien ne manque et d'une propreté parfaite.

Chambres d'hôtes idéalement placées sur la ViaRhôna et tout proche de la base d'eaux vives de Sault Brenaz sur le Rhône. A 50 minutes de Lyon, loin du bruit et de l'effervescence de la ville, on peut profiter seul, avec des amis ou en famille d'un super combo Lyon capitale culturelle et gastronomique plus activités de plein air (vélo, randonnée dans le massif du Bugey, canoë kayak raft hydrospeed, pêche). Une maison magnifiquement restaurée du XIV ième siècle, grand confort, grandes chambres, mobilier contemporain et très bonne literie. Parking fermé et sécurisé, piscine naturelle sans produits chimiques dans un joli cadre de verdure. Possibilité de restauration sur place grâce à un service de traiteur local fait maison, petit déjeuner très copieux et variés composé de produits locaux. Enfin, Thierry, un hôte discret, attentionné, efficace pour répondre aux demandes et aux attentes de ses clients. A Deux Pas du Rhéby présente un rapport qualité prix 5 étoiles, pourquoi faire étape dans des établissements de chaine impersonnels dans des environnements urbains?

Chambres parfaites, accueil très convivial, petits-déjeuners copieux. Offre tout le confort et la qualité d'un hôtel 2 étoiles mais sans la distance ni la froideur protocolaire que l'on trouve dans les grandes chaînes. Le patron papote volontiers et vous rend service si l'occasion se présente. (Ce qui nous est arrivé, il a gommé au WD40 une rayure que j'avais faite sur la voiture de location de mon beau-frère.)
