We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in September. The proprietor is pleasant and helpful. The hotel location is conveniently located to public transit - bus and tram. There is a tram stop st the rail station. The hotel is within easy walking distance of restaurants, shopping, pedestrian streets and historic sites. We were in the smallest room with an ensuite bathroom. The room is compact. We were traveling with only carryon luggage and were able to organize ourselves. We would recommend a larger room if traveling with more luggage of if you are bothered by tight quarters. The room and bathroom had a fresh appearance. The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed visiting Caen which includes our stay at Hotel Astrid.

The triple room was somewhat small but efficient with a table and 4 chairs. The young couple who ran the hotel were charming and helpful with recommendations on places to see and to eat. Excellent value for the price.

This is a basic two star hotel. The reception service is efficient and friendly . Breakfast is tasty - delivered to the room at agreed time. Reception is only open until 8 however the phone is answered promptly (I had an issue with the door code). I had a small double room. It was indeed small but good value and perfectly adequate for a single business traveller. Would probably be quite tight for a couple. Room clean, room service good . Location is very central - only downside is that Caen is a student city so things don't calm down in the street very early. Overall I would strongly recommend this hotel.

The owners of the hotel are lovely and it is in an awesome location. I would advise paying for parking in a garage as we had our tire slashed on the street.

Perfect. Nice room, cozy and very clean, comfortable. The owner welcoming and ready to help and accomplish any request. We had breakfast in room, that I would warmly recommend!

In the spirit of “you get what you pay for”, this was excellent and we highly recommend. For sure, it is not “fancy” or luxurious, but it was as good or better than what we hoped for. Good location. Very clean. Excellent hosts. Comfortable beds. Very dark and quiet for sleeping. We got the breakfast one day - it was very good. An assortment of pastries and bread, coffee, juice and yogurt - brought to your room at your scheduled time. With so many cafe options in town, we preferred to eat out most mornings. I’d definitely recommend to anyone wanting a basic, comfortable, affordable hotel.
