Fierro Hotel Buenos Aires

Fierro Hotel is a true gem! The location is good but we took a taxi nearly everywhere. There are lots of eateries all around this neighborhood though. The people at the desk exceed themselves in giving the best service they can. We arrived mid-morning, and we only had to wait a few minutes before our 2 rooms were ready. We waited in their dining room where they served us their amazing breakfast that comes with the room. We ate many of our meals here because the food is amazing, chef-prepared. The wines recommended by their in-house sommelier are delicious. The rooms are big with a fridge stocked with champagne if desired. Also a separate wine fridge stocked with several wines. The desk folks have great suggestions for things to do as well as calling a taxi, English-speaking if desired. We asked about a dinner show with tango. It did not disappoint! They made our reservations, we were picked up and taken to the venue and it was great! We needed a late checkout and they allowed us to stay til 2 pm. I can't guarantee that on busier days the same accommodations to time in and out can be given. But we can leave our luggage safely if needed, even use of the facilities of pool, dining and sauna were offered after checkout. I can't say enough positive things about this hotel. The only negative thing was having to leave!

The apartment is well decorated with new furniture, making everything cozy. The location is good, doing a lot of things by walking. We left the car on the street for a week and had no problems. (You just had to look for a space and the traffic is chaotic). We really liked the kitchen, the balcony and the sofa space to relax. Some important points that need to be taken into account: the shower on a high floor takes around 20 minutes to heat up, due to the water pressure. The bathroom ends up getting wet after showering. The bed had a bad and strange smell, we had to leave the duvet on the balcony to catch the wind, but it didn't improve. The front door of the building was always open, which caused us a lot of insecurity. The issue of noise can be a problem, it will depend on the neighbors on the floor. We had a loud sound problem two nights.
Palo Santo Hotel

A small hotel near downtown Buenos Aires and walkable to large parks, buses and the city train. Their free Wifi was reliable and there's a good choice of nearby restaurants plus a market and pharmacy. We found the place to be very clean and the English speaking staff were exceptionally helpful and very accommodating. Air conditioning was refreshing but be advised, when you remove your room card from the room slot, it not only kills the lights, it turns off the air conditioning and you must press the AC power button back on when you get back. They made our free breakfast when ordered and we were thankful it included eggs and sausage which is more than a typical Argentine breakfast of a croissant and a drink. The coffee was delicious. We were also able to get a room with three separate beds. The room safe & no-English TV worked great. There is self made coffee and tea in the room.

Hotel with excellent cost benefit. Very good location! For reviews on hosting sites, we ask not to stay at the 1st floor and that's the best tip I can give. Our 2nd floor room was quiet! I think the first floor rooms should suffer a lot with the noise, they offer a simple breakfast that breaks a stick, which would be a thousand times.
Hotel Clasico
4.2/563 Reviews
We stayed 2 nights in Hotel Clasico and every interaction with the staff was friendly, helpful and improved our stay in Buenos Aires from simple things like letting us check in early after a redeye flight, getting us a take away breakfast when we had to leave before the breakfast began, and even helping us find a place to change money. The room was modern and exceptionally clean. The whole place felt like it was carefully designed from the artwork in the elevator shaft to the uniquely painted hallways and even the stained glass in the restaurant. There were restaurants and cafes in abundance nearby, and public transit and taxis were a short walk and readily available. And the place was affordable. We’ll be returning soon and it’s definitely a relief to know we’ll be in such good hands!

The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful. I speak very little Spanish, but they speak enough English to help me with any questions, including sharing ideas of things I might do for fun. It's in a perfect location -- close to a major subway station and bus stops, very near a hip shopping area, and surrounded by cool restaurants and bars. And it is very inexpensive!
