The Clark Hotel is located at Buda, which's very close to the cable car station of the Castle. It's also approachable for other sightseeing places in Buda. However, there's maintenance work nearby, so that the view from the room is not perfect. The check-in process is quite fast and efficient. Overall, the staff are friendly, except few cleaners who seem to be very cool and ignorant. I like the design of the Hotel which's very modern and posh. My room is on the 7th floor where there's a big balcony. If you have friends coming in the evening, all of you could enjoy the stunning night view of the City. The room is quite spacious that you have enough space for enjoying. Indeed, there're many other hotels choices for you to decide, although the Clark is obviously an ideal one.

We stay here when on business in Budapest, and usually don't have problems but staying in 315 recently we were put next to people having a party in 317, it was really noisy, some kind of last night in Budapest flight crew thing. Why would you put business people next to party people? It just made no sense. We got moved for the night to a quieter suite on same floor, 323, which was great but the next day the front desk ”miscommunicated” us to the breakfast area to collect our breakfast boxes. Its puzzling. Overall the staff are super friendly and things usually go without a hitch and on that basis I would recommend. I really hope standards aren't slipping as it would be a shame.

What we enjoyed: Real question is what is not to enjoy about this hotel?! The moment you enter the hotel, it gives you this royalistic and luxurious feeling as you walk into and within its hallways. Very beautiful and charming interior design! Clean and luxurious feeling! The staff deserves a special notice of their very friendly and polite presence during our whole stay there, always ready to help and serve our needs. We spent our 2 nights on 4th floor and our room was very pleasent with all its features, bed also very comfortable to sleep on and good soundproofing. Upon first enter, we were pleasently surprised by the dessert serving, that was provided for us as a welcoming gesture from hotel! Cakes don't lie. Breakfast was good and delicious and widely provided! Little bit everything for everyone. We loved the dining area in the hotel's beautiful restaurant hall, where you could enjoy your breakfast meal while admiring the hall's luxurious design. Lastly the spa and gym services provided should be something for everyone to check out. We wanted a spa features for our few days stay in Budapest and Aurea Ana Palace hotel's servings for this need were more than satisfying enough for couple days stay. Sauna was brilliantly realdeal (coming from a finn!) and cold pool, jacuzzi pools were suitable enough for relaxing for couple days. For longer than few days of stay maybe bigger spa facility would be needed. We also took massage service in the hotel, which was provided upon request. Masseuses were very professional and caring during the massage! Gym itself wasn't big deal: 2 treadmills, rowing machine, crosstrainer for some cardio training. Strength training possibilities were very minor due to one only small crosspulley device. What we DID NOT enjoy: Overall, I would say we were fully satisfied and happy of our stay in Aurea Ana Palace hotel. We will definitely recommend this to anyone looking for luxurious experience for few days in the city withoit breaking completely their wallet. We'll be keeping in mind of this pearl for the next time we set foot on Budapest! However, few development ideas to consider for the staff: Spa should be useable also during the earlier day/morning (Spa opens by 13.00). This would give more flexibility and even more richer experience for the guest to enjoy morning bath/sauna before starting their day. Gym could use few more additions for strength training capacities. For example in freeweight section, such as: handweights, bars, etc. Elevator traffic was sometimes too crowded. During our stay one of the two elevators was out of service, which made the hotel's one and only elevator overly congested. The broken elevator was sadly out of service during our whole visit.

The staff always greeting me when seeing me at reception, which really made me feel welcome by giving me the V.I.P treatment. As for the two bedroom penthouse apartment, I was really impressed from the modern interior to how spacious the apartment was, as I originally booked for a studio room. I was allocated on the 8th floor which was the highest floor in the building. I had a balcony upstairs in my bedroom and downstairs in the living room where I can enjoy the morning views each day. The bathrooms in both rooms had nice aesthetics and was very spacious. You literally all the apartments amenities you may need from a washing machine to fridge to a stove and oven. For the spa absolutely amazing. It had a igloo concept of a design which was different but I loved it. Throughout the spa complex you can feel your presence noticed as I was greeted by every staff. The spa is situated on the other side of the hotel which is connected to their sister brand hotel Anantara New York Palace Budapest. Positives: Within the city centre, modern design, good amenities, great customer service. They have everything you may need for both business and leisure. Negatives: No smart TV, breakfast isn’t really spoilt for choice but it’s okay. Recommend going once and going elsewhere for the other days, such as the new york cafe which is next door or cafe ciruksz if you want a full English type breakfast. We stayed for a week recently and thought the hotel was excellent. All the staff were really friendly, the chap on reception (possibly called Vincente?) was super helpful, simply couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was good and plentiful. A good choice of foods with some rotation during the week. The breakfast room staff were very polite and welcoming. (I question the review around breakfast not having much and saying they went at 9:30, not sure what they expect with 30 minutes to go? Get up earlier!) Rooms are a good size, are very well kept and cleaned every day (as you'd expect but some hotels don't!). I had my birthday whilst away and when we got back to the room on the evening of my birthday there was an ice bucket with a bottle of bubbly and 2 glasses waiting along with a birthday card! They must have got my birthday from my passport! What a lovely gesture. The hotel is situated in a quiet part of Budapest, on the Buda side and near to the Castle District. It's only 5 minutes walk to the Chain Bridge / Clark Adam Square where you cross over the Danube into the Pest side of the city. At the time of writing pedestrians can't walk over the bridge but you can get any of the buses from Clark Adam Square for FREE if you're just getting off at the first stop. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again without question.

Visited Budapest in mid April for a 3 day break. Chose the Hotel Victoria for its location and views over the River Danube to the Parliament Building. It was a perfect choice for our short stay. Very clean room and facilities, decorated in a 'Boutique' style. Polite and helpful reception staff, and also the staff in the breakfast room (who will offer bacon and eggs in addition to the already extensive spread) Wifi is very strong and there are hot drink making facilities in room. Bed is comfortable and there is no street noise - even from the tramline that very conveniently has a stop right outside the hotel (must be very good sound proofing). Bathroom is modern and clean with a strong, hot shower. I recommend this hotel.

First of all, the advantages: the advantage is that the location is good, near the Mermaid Fort, Going out to sit in the Mermaid Fort at night to enjoy the scenery is simply beautiful! The attitude and service of the service staff is particularly good! Great! Disadvantages: If you are taking the train to Budapest, you still want to do the subway to the hotel, then congratulations, you have to prepare to drag the suitcase to climb the stairs, but also go to the park with stones, if you happen to wear high heels or a lot Pack, then you have a big lottery, kill you! Exhausted you! Don't ask me for knowing! If you get out of the car and take a taxi, then there is nothing wrong! I also hit the car in the end! There is no supermarket nearby, there are 16 buses, it is very convenient! The key point is: the room is particularly tidal, to what extent, I washed a pair of underwear, did not do it for five days! The room is still dark and the air is not good! In addition, the hair dryer is not good for this device, just the display! I hope I can't help you!

The hotel is conveniently located very close to public transportation. The tram is right across the street and the Metro station just a short walk away. You can also walk across to the other side of town where all the stores and restaurants are by using the Chain Bridge. However the bridge was closed for pedestrians last month, not sure if it is now open. Our room was a good size and we had a beautiful view of the Danube river and the Parliament. The small balcony outside our window needed to be cleaned though, as there were spider webs everywhere. Realized that after I stuck my head outside to look at the view.. You can also look outside the window in the hallway when you get off the elevators. It has a nice view of the castle at night. Bathroom was fine, there was a nice bathtub with a nice shower but I found the bathtub very high and it took me extra effort to climb in and out. Never had that problem before but for some reason this tub was not easy to climb into. The breakfast had many yummy choices. There were not many changes in what they offered everyday, but still they had many choices and also many different coffees you could prepare on the machine. Front desk staff were cordial and one young man in particular was very helpful with everything that we needed. I don't remember his name but he was in his 30s I believe with a goatie. All in all we enjoyed our stay! The only thing we wished is that this hotel had a pool, but oh well!
