The Westin la Quinta Golf Resort & Spa, Benahavis, Marbella

Well, where do I even begin… My boyfriend and I stayed at The Westin La Quinta Golf Resort & Spa for 4 nights at the end of April for my birthday. I called up and spoke with Nicole prior to arrival, who was absolutely lovely, and arranged a beautiful bedroom with a panoramic view for us. Nicole even rang our hotel room when we’d arrived to see if we liked the room/view and to wish us a lovely stay. The fact that she had taken the time out of her busy day to give us a courtesy call didn’t go unnoticed and made us feel like valued guests from the get-go. Upon check-in we met the Front of House Manager Vicente, who gave us the warmest welcome, we travel a lot, and this was the nicest check-in experience we’ve ever had. I told Vicente that the reason for our visit was my birthday which was in a couple of days, he remembered this detail and on the morning of my birthday, there was a lovely Happy Birthday note and a gorgeous piece of chocolate cake. We saw Vicente a lot throughout our stay, he was a pleasure to chat to and a friendly face who couldn’t do enough for us. Throughout our stay, we were served a lot by Santiago, who is an absolute credit to the Hotel, he got to know our name very quickly and was lovely, always smiling and couldn’t do enough for us. He noticed that I liked ice in my Rose wine and remembered every time, the attention to detail that the staff have at this Hotel is like no other. All the staff go out of their way to smile and say hello when passing and are so welcoming. The Hotel is stunning, smells divine and is so relaxing. They offer a free shuttle bus which is so convenient for getting to and from Peurto Banus and Marbella, we found this saved us so much money on taxis and Ubers. The food offering is 10/10 and the selection at breakfast was a wide variety, so fresh and the perfect start to every morning. If you’re thinking about staying at The Westin La Quinta Golf Resort & Spa, don’t hesitate and get it booked!! We loved everything about it and are already looking at booking to stay again this summer. I’m sure we’ll become regulars, and this Hotel will be our go to when we need some sun and relaxation. Recent two night stay at Westin La Quinta in Marbella. Good hotel, nice rooms with all you need. Very clean. Breakfast was good and parking at the hotel was very straightforward. Only gripes were the pool is relatively small and pretty chilly, although that was nice when the weather got really warm. A decent place to stay.

Spent a few days here with my sister and loved it!! The spa, pool, and breakfast Buffett were absolutely fantastic! All staff members I interacted with were so lovely and hospitable. Received a lovely pool view room with a terrace and just spent time relaxing. It felt so rejuvenating even without partaking in golf. I can’t speak highly enough about the spa however. We lived for the Hammam and saunas as it was so tranquil. I did wish it was easier to book appoin**ents as you cannot do so online and every time I called no one picked up but email worked out. Had a top tier massage and would absolutely go back if in the area again.

I had a fantastic experience at the Westin La Quinta hotel. My room had a breathtaking view to the sea and the mountains. The hotel location is wonderful because you are on a very high attitude and can enjoy the best of Marbella view. We played golf and the area is wow! The service at the restaurant during breakfast was outstanding, especially thanks to Isabella, our host. Eve at the reception desk and Agustin were also incredibly helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel if you play or don’t play golf. We are currently at the hotel, final day of three playing golf, one round per day. The three courses are excellent, lovely holes and a challenge. Bar a bit expensive but not the end of the world, and rooms nice. As its our last day, we played 18, waited for the rain to stop and fancied a bonus nine holes. Unfortunately, the pro shop wanted to charge 268 Euros for nine holes and a buggy, which was just way too much. For nine holes, you'd pay half that, as that was comparable to the original price we paid when booking. Sadly, we've gone from thinking "we will come here again' to "nice place but a rip off'. Our polite advice to the hotel: please don't fleece people at every opportunity and you'll find they write nice reviews and come back in the future

The stay was good but the hotel definitely needs a renovation. I would give it 3 1/2 not 4 stars. The staff is very nice but the rooms and common areas are quite dated. Pictures gave a false representation of the rooms and hallways. Shower could not keep a constant temperature, hot then cold then hot again. Spa is meh, although I had a good massage Golf is fine but there’s definitely nicer courses in the area.

It was my first visit to this property and I totally loved it. I was checked in by Bob, who was really friendly and gave me an amazing g room with a great view. The pool area is lovely, lots of space, beds and towels. The pool service could use improvement as there was one waiter who basically ignored one side of the pool, even though guests were waiving to him to come over. I ended up having to raise a service request. The main bar and restaurant were lovely, all staff were really attentive and made sure everyone was happy and had everything they needed. I loved the frogs, their singing was really nice to hear, even at night.. 😀 There was one final really lovely touch. I was leaving my room with my cases and headed for the lift, as I walked closer I could see a manager on the phone. When he saw me, he immediately took my cases off me, took them into the lift and helped me down to reception. He thanked me for staying at the hotel and hoped I had enjoyed my stay. I wish I had taken his name so I could thank him. Check out was quick and easy, with the team checking how I was getting to the airport and as I had a car, taking my bags for me. This is a really lovely hotel, i enjoyed my stay immensely and will definitely stay again.

Food at the restaurant not 5 stars quality at all. Poor TV programs choice. Noisy sometimes.

What an exceptional stay in a stunning location!! Every member of staff was friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as easy and comfortable as possible. Kids 6 &7 had an absolute ball. Food was good and reasonable- breakfast was fantastic! Themed nights each week, we loved the barbecue around the pool for ‘white night’. Room comfortable and clean and a fabulous size. Kids club was brilliant. Huge thanks to Rosa, Bob, Francisco and Lora for making everything even more special! Can’t wait to book for next year!
