Premier Inn London Barking

This Premier Inn has changed my thoughts on the company. I thought you were guaranteed a good level of hotel with Premier Inn but this one was really bad. It's a basic building right beside the north circular, the hallways and lift in the hotel are dirty and smell really bad, the rooms are old and tired, the bathroom wasn't particularly clean and the towels were worn and thin. The continental breakfast was depressing with bread & crumpets etc all rock hard by 8.30am. The 'ultimate' wi-fi which I paid for didn't even reach my room so I had to conduct a meeting in my car using 4G. I hope never ever to return.

I stopped over for 1 day to attend a wedding, the hotel is ok not amazing. However came across this feisty staff ( alyesha) who clearly has no people skills. The carpark and parking is owned and managed by 3rd party, when i went to pay for the parking which is £6.00 for 1 day the machine only had option for 2 days £12, I told the staff at the hotel and she gave me bare attitude back, was not listening at all and said that she will wipe the charge of but could not give me nothing in writing. Feeling anxious I paid £12 for the parking for 2 days when it only should had been £6 as I did not trust what she said. Be prepared folks when you walk in and come across her. The room I was in 128, had a bath and the water came out of the side of the tub, used all the towels to soak up the water, did mention this on the way out and again staff was not interested and said they will send a maintenance man.

Paid for 24 hour wifi wasn’t working so we told reception they told us they won’t do anything and they won’t be refunding due to us not paying at the reception, bath had hairs all in it was disgusting

Customer service was good, girls on the desk were lovely and helpful. The room we were in was in dire need of a face-lift, but if you're just there to sleep there's no issues. Tv needed updating as it was slow and kept turning off when scrolling through channels. WiFi is slow as anything, but they do that to make you buy the upgraded one.

Much better than I expected. Very friendly and helpful staff at reception, made a good impression. Clean room, comfortable bed, good amenities. Yes, it's basic but it's good basic. Nice restaurant area and the food was great! Breakfast was good but the evening meal was excellent! The meal deal is well worth it.

Slightly grubby. Rooms smelt of food. We had to change rooms as it was so bad. Decor old. Location good as near a main road.

Went wednesday the 8th of may 2024 .i got to meet vicky at the bar she was extremely helpfull very jolly .stayed here many times the best happy face i have seen in a long time .lovely comfable beds well be back very soon .hopefully vicky well be there .

Booked for a business trip as we were exhibiting at the Excel in London. We went for a Premier Inn as pretty standard and you know what to expect - not here! The initial greet from front of house was fine but then went downhill from there. First night we waited so long for mains we nearly gave up and went to bed hungry, we complained and were told to pre order our meal for night two, we did this and on arrival sat down and they bought all of the order out at once (starters and mains) - two of the starters were not what we ordered but were informed "that is all we have" - will not be using this facility again which is a shame because rooms are generally clean and comfortable but badly let down by the restaurant service

Staff need better training in customer service. They look angry all the time and don’t have answers to basic questions. They can easily make customers walk out especially when there are other hotels in the area. The price was also too high for the location and a basic hotel brand.
