Samala Hotel Bangkok

Sukhumvit Bangkok|0.46km from Toyo Business Service Public Company Limited
This hotel is brand-new, and has immense potential. It's a shame that I have to write this negative review, but I'm hoping it can spur the hotel to do much better in several areas. We discovered this newly built hotel from a local friend and decided to book four nights during the festive season. Upon arrival, the check-in process took much longer than expected. This was in-part due to the poor command of English by most of the staff. We were assigned a room in Tower A and Tower B. Tower A rooms are much more convenient as the pool and gym are located on the same tower. The rooms itself were great, but there were many small issues which hampered the experience during our stay. For example, the shower drain drains water very slowly, resulting in an overflow everytime you take a shower. The water pressure itself was decent but they need to solve the drainage issues, because we had several different rooms during our stay and every room had the same problem. Other than that, the rooms were great. The power points have USB-A and USB-C inlets, so you don't need an adapter when staying at this hotel, a very thoughtful point. Next, the breakfast buffet was decent. Bangkok hotels are famous for their excellent breakfast buffets. I have stayed in countless hotels in Bangkok, and the benchmark continues to be Centara Grand at CentralWorld for breakfast. Samala's breakfast buffet had a variety of options. The great thing is that the dishes are different every day, so you'll never have a boring breakfast. The bad news is that in terms of taste, its not consistent. For example, there was one morning which had Hainanese Chicken Rice served, and I nearly vomited after tasting it. On another day, there was Green Curry Chicken served, and it was amazing. Speaking of breakfast, I want to highlight the excellent service by Mr. Tong, which I believe is the manager of the breakfast service. Mr. Tong was very attentive and checked-in on us to make sure everything was fine. Interestingly, he spoke much better English than half the front desk staff so perhaps he should be there instead! Last but not least, I want to provide some inputs about the service. It was very inconsistent. Most of the staff at the hotel were very friendly, particularly the concierge, which was amazing at making dining reservations and providing recommendations for lunch/dinner. The front desk staff were also very friendly, and I managed to have a good chat with the front desk manager on several occasions. She had a good command of English, together with a woman who appeared fierce but was very friendly, but the same can't be said for the rest of the staff. They had some of the worse English I have ever seen in any hotel. Bangkok is an international tourist destination, and if the front desk can't get English right, it's better they are moved to other parts of the hotel. Also, some of the staff are extremely stingy when it comes to bathroom amenities. We requested extra Body Wash on several occ

This place is my new home in Bangkok. I have been a visitor to Bangkok for about 5 years now and usually stay at Citadines 23. But one night back in 2019 I forgot to book properly and was out at 11pm with no Hotel. Admiral Premier was nice enough to give me a room last minute. Now with the pandemic, many hotels (including Citadines 23) are closed. But Admiral Premier is still up and running and it's clear why. The management knows how to run a business. The staff are so friendly they are like family. The location is EXACTLY in the center of the city but tucked away nicely just off to the side so that you can rest and relax in peace. The hustle and bustle is a mere 20 paces away. Masks and temperature checks required (like everywhere) and hand sanitizer is available everywhere including lobby, hotel and gym. The apartments are clean, well-kept and ALWAYS functioning. No matter what you need the staff and management are at the top of their game and respond to inquiries with lightning precision. Whether you are ordering from food panda, air conditioning needs a tune up or need something from room service, the staff is on it. Tuktuk service available directly to BTS! If you're too lazy to walk or you come in the summer and don't want to be drenched in sweat, this service is Really valuable. Believe me. I usually start in a service apartment and then move to Airbb after. But lately Airbb condos have been a headache to deal with. Condos are not maintained, have plumbing issues and hosts try to bait and switch listings. After losing about 3 days dealing with broken condos and inattentive hosts, I decided to go back to Admiral Premier and make it my home base. No hassle. They allow guests/friends and don't ask questions as long as you don't bring trouble. Totally fair. Think of this hotel as an Airbb but with all the perks of a Hotel. Clean linen everyday, water, toilet paper and no hassle with rooms. Why go anywhere else. Prices are super reasonable and with the addition of a Balcony this apartment is the perfect place for new tourists or old veteran travelers alike. Everything, and I mean everything, is in Walking Distance; BTS, MRT, 7-11, street food, etc etc Again, the Staff is amazing which is why this place feels so comfortable. I could write alot more but trust me when I say that this is a 10/10 stay when it comes to value and accommodation. The gym is small but has enough to get your full body workout going. The pool is beautiful and gives you the ultimate mid height view of downtown Bangkok with Terminal 21 looking right at you. Thank you to you the staff for making my stay comfortable, relaxing and hassle free. Would I stay here again? I'm here now! Bottom Line: If you are looking for a solid hassle free experience with accommodations so you can come and enjoy Bangkok for the first or 100th time, Admiral Premier is where you need to stay. Thank you, Tony Ortega

The room was really clean and bright. The bed is really big enough for two people.I really liked the swimming pool and the view was really incredible at night since the hotel is around the city centre. The staffs are really helpful and friendly.I definitely enjoyed my stay at there and I would stay there when I come to visit Bangkok again. It’s a great place to stay for real if you like to enjoy nightlife of Bangkok since it’s near to most of the attractions.

I stayed alone and in conclusion, I was very satisfied. It seemed like it had been recently remodeled when I stayed there. The sign saying Sam's lodge hasn't been taken down yet. Good location for the price, quiet, and very clean. I was satisfied with everything except that there was no window and the toilet water pressure was weak. It felt like a clean Korean motel. It was nice to have a hair dryer as well. The air conditioner is cool and there is also a hair dryer. The towels were clean too. The floor was laid on a floor similar to that used in Korean apartments, and it was so clean that you would feel a little embarrassed if you went in with your shoes on. If I come back, I think I will stay again haha.

The dormitory is very clean and each bed is separated by curtains to calm down. 5 minutes walk from Asoke Station and 7 minutes walk from Sukhumvit Station. Close to the main street and there is a convenience store right next to it. It was a solo traveler, but I was able to stay with peace of mind. The shower room is a bit old and hot and humid. Bath towels are rental. The common area is equipped with a dryer, so you don't need to bring it.

This was the second time for us to stay in this hotel, because the location is really convenient, hotel staffs are nice, although the hotel is not big but quiet, clean and cheaper than the same level hotels. We did not add breakfast this time but the breakfast buffet is nice and the room service foods are also good this time. We prefer to stay in this hotel again for the next stay at Bangkok. Thank you so much.

Good location, quiet in Wangzhong, advanced TV system, enthusiastic staff The room design is tasteful, but unfortunately not everyone appreciates it. The windowless room is definitely not suitable for people with claustrophobia. There is a frequent sound of water pipes in the middle of the night to ensure that you will train the dragon
