Mango Lagoon Place Reviews

No room cleaning for the duration of our stay. No soap, no shampoo replacement. If we’d reminded them they’d surely do it. They offered two bottles of water, that were inside the fridge. The air conditioning wind chilled my body while sleeping and there was no way to escape it, except turning it off. Good location, without noise. Worth the price.

Nice hotel and close to Khao San Road, many restaurants close by. The swimming pool is lovely and the largest in the area, air conditioning is also very nice.

Suitable for people who don't like chaos in Khao San Road, easy entry and exit, wide swimming pool, friendly staff.

Very few amenities compared to the room price of 2,0++, small room like a rental room. There is no toothbrush, no dryer, no shoes in the bathroom, no change of shoes to put in the room. If a customer steps on dog poop, you're done because the room is covered with carpet and the road in that area has dog poop.

Great little find! Situated right in the middle of where things are happening. Tucked away down a side street where you don't expect to find a hotel. This street is bustling with bars, restaurants and street stalls and just across the main road is the mad "Khaosan Road". The accommodation is basic but clean. Beds are actually reasonable soft, which makes a change for Thailand. Pool is fine but very little seating around the pool.

I absolutely love mangoo lagoon. We stayed in 2018 and 2023. The staff are amazing ＜3 The pool is excellent to escape the heat, the location is quiet and walkable to many things, the room is standard (clean, safe, great AC) :D We got to meet happy guests in the restaurant/Cafe and felt very welcome there. We loved staying here and will be back again! Vishnu and Justin took great care of us! Mr.Owen was wonderful and helped the boys get suits made too!

When we arrived Bangkok the first time we booked Mango Lagoon place. Check in went ok. They offered breakfast buffet for 170 bath. The buffet was only a fried egg and a toast and jam. Coffee or tea. We had to ask for bacon and tomato beans that was marked on there blackboard for that price. When the egg was cold, they arrived with beans and bacon. If we hadn’t asked, we had never got it. Anyway that was our first experience. One month later, at the end of our trip, we had already made a reservation at this hotel with Agoda. Confirmed and paid. Money already drawn from my credit card. When we showed up at the hotel, they told us to pay again. I said that it was already paid. They refused to give us a room, If we didn’t pay again. We asked them to contact Agoda to confirm that the room for two nights was already paid, but they refused. We were not interested to pay double. First to Agoda, and then directly to the hotel. The worst service we had experienced in Thailand. We booked another hotel, and we contacted Agoda, and they say they will refund the money that was already paid. Good service from Agoda, but very bad service from Mango lagoon place in Bangkok. It is many good and cheap hotels in Bangkok! Try to avoid Mango Lagoon place!

We were looking for a cost effective base in Bangkok that had a family room, was clean and had a pool. This ticked all those boxes and exceeded expectations. It is in a great location near koah San road and old city attractions but in a quiet road far enough away to feel super chilled. All the staff were amazingly friendly, helpful and attentive. They loved the kids and even brought our dinner up to us I'm the evening when our son fell asleep early! The food was good and the pool was such a bonus. We were tempted to stay another night, but had already paid for our next stop... We will be back everytime we come to Bangkok. There is also a travel agents next door which were good value and helped us arrange the next part of our travels.

A good hotel for a couple of days stay in Bangkok. The hotel is located in the center of Rambuttri area, just 5 min. walking distance from Khao San street and many attractions. Nearby is a 7/11 store and a bus stop. The hotel was quiet, the air conditioning worked properly, breakfast was not served as there were a lot of cafes with a variety of cuisines nearby. Overall I recommend the hotel! I'm reducing points for cleaning and for the lack of a balcony (no place to dry things).

Ok hotel with pool 400m from khaosan road So a quiet area

The hotel is on the edge of the old town and quite close to the sights. Within walking distance of e.g. the National Museum. Along a small street, which is indeed a busy shopping street. Lots of restaurants nearby. However, a quiet location. Breakfast is available for a fee and various options. The pool is next to the yard. Friendly staff. The rooms are simple. Shower without protection in the toilet (not so nice). Fridge good. No kettle.
