The location is great on the beach. I think Sanur is very good because there are very few on the beaches. Reasonable price for a 4-star hotel The towels provided are two bath towels and one face towel for some reason. Even if I asked the front desk twice for additional towels, they did not bring them. I am grateful that the staff fixed the suitcase with a string when I moved the suitcase on a motorcycle to move the hotel at checkout.

We only had the one night here but it was lovely. Friendly welcoming staff, a huge room with lounge area, bedroom, bathroom, large wardrobe area and a balcony to enjoy an evening drink on. Lush decor with small pool in centre, enjoyed an early breakfast before we headed to hhe harbor for an early morning boat trip onwards

It was a great resort for a family holiday. Many activities available and location was excellent for meals and shopping. Service was excellent and staff very friendly and helpful if needed. The resort Spa offered a variety of treatments at a reasonable price. Excellent treatment. Loved the welcoming ginger tea. The facilities, while old, were still comfortable and clean. Loved the big pool and swim up bar. Great walk or ride along pathway on beach. Breakfast offered a wide variety of food and was excellent.

If you are looking for a small idyllic boutique resort reminiscent of the Old Bali then this is the one for you. Full of character with amazing gardens, restaurant and pool area. Treat yourself and stay in one of the very reasonably priced pool villas. All the staff are so genuinely friendly and go over and beyond their responsibilities to ensure you have a memorable stay. I lost my prescription glasses on a trip to Hardys. They drove me back there and the resort driver offered to come in to the store and act as an interpreter for me (they were eventually found). Absolutely nothing is too much trouble for them. We had dinner at the restaurant several times and the food was delicious. A shuttle service is provided but a taxi into central Sanur only costs about $4 AUD.. A huge thank you to everyone at the resort for making our stay so enjoyable. We will be back!!! 🌸

Was not advised that the pool was closed for maintenance. The pool would be a big attraction from the advertised photos. Aircon was far too noisy and I had to fix it myself. Staff were lazy, rubbish and dirty plates in the hotel passages most of the day. Staff speak very little English although they were helpful and friendly. I accidentally left my key in the room which became a big issue as they had no spare key... What on earth? The cleaners apparently give the master key to the manager who takes it home with him to Kuta... They had to break the lock to the balcony sliding door to let me in. The location isn't great as its just that bit too far from the main bars and restaurants to walk. On the plus side, the rooms were spacious but again run down with no tea or coffee provided. The bed seamed relatively new and was very comfortable except for the lack of pillow choice so had to put up with big fat pillows. The internet was very good, fast and reliable. For AUD $30+ there are better hotels in Sanur.

This was truly beautiful resort with excellent food. Exotically authentic. Nice pool. It’s about a 5 minute walk to the beach, but wonderful service and convenient for exploring Bali.

More about Bali

Introduction to Bali

Bali, an Indonesian island known for its forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, and stunning beaches, is the country's most famous tourist destination. Filled with ancient temples, rich arts and crafts, and a vibrant nightlife, Bali offers a kaleidoscopic blend of natural beauty and cultural depth.

Tips for Travelling to Bali

Bali's main international gateway is Ngurah Rai International Airport, located near the capital city, Denpasar. Travelers can explore Bali through taxis, local buses, bicycles, motorbikes, or even hired cars.

The official currency is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Most hotels and restaurants accept credit cards, but having some cash on hand for local markets and smaller venues is recommended. Indonesian is the official language, but English is widely spoken in tourist areas.

As for visas, many nationalities can enter Indonesia visa-free for up to 30 days, but it's best to check before your journey.

Popular Attractions in Bali

Bali offers a wealth of cultural and natural attractions. Explore the ancient temples of Tanah Lot and Uluwatu, or immerse yourself in the artistic heritage of Ubud, Bali's cultural heart. Visit the Tegalalang Rice Terraces and the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary for unique experiences.

Bali's beaches are equally enticing, with Kuta Beach, Seminyak Beach, and Nusa Dua Beach offering vibrant beach life. Surfing enthusiasts will love the waves at Uluwatu and Canggu.

Weather, Best Time to Visit, and What to Wear

Bali enjoys a tropical climate with temperatures fairly consistent year-round. The best times to visit are during the dry season, from April to October. Bring lightweight, breathable clothing, a hat, and sunscreen to protect from the sun. Also, remember to dress modestly when visiting temples.

Choosing Your Ideal Hotel in Bali

For luxury beachfront accommodation, consider the Legian Bali or the W Bali in Seminyak. In Ubud, the Hanging Gardens of Bali offers a unique luxury experience with its Instagram-famous infinity pool.
