The Wangsa Benoa

Nusa Dua Bali|0.39km from Infinity Chapel
Stayed in a 2br villa pool. The villa is large open plan 1 king bed in living area down stairs and 1 king bed up stairs (stairs not suitable for children) no privacy. The private pool is lovely and large but very difficult to get in and out- no rail and large steps. 1 toilet and 1 outdoor shower - very open (we did have a neighbour look down into the shower area).excellent full size fridge. The out door kitchen had no matches to light hot plate, 1 frying pan, no bowl or teaspoons or tea towel. Had to ask for toilet paper 2x- they leave 1 small roll in the villa. No breakfast offered. I had asked about breakfast prior to arriving and was told it could be arranged- then on arrival told not available. Small shop nearby to buy some groceries. Reception is not 24hrs as stated on website, no transfer offered. Problem with air conditioner upstairs- dripping water and smoke coming from. We asked for it to be checked. Power out in villa for 1 night- with no reception we could not get anyone in to fix- it was an electrical short. Hot night no aircon/fridge defrosted our food spoiled, water all over the floor from defrosting. I sent email to hotel and phoned to try contacting with no luck until we found a staff member (gardener)who called maintenance at 7am. My email back from office said sorry but we’ve fixed the problem now. The hotel made no further contact with us or offer to compensate for loss of our food. I use medical device for sleep and could not use this without electricity. On checkout we had no assistance with luggage- I had informed office the day before that we were leaving at 7.30-8am; I collected my deposit from office and handed key back at 7am. Locals say it looks like the Wangsa is very old now and not well maintained. I have visited Bali 13 times and love the Benoa area this was the worst villa/hotel I’ve ever stayed in, I did not expect 5 or even 4 star facilities for the price I payed but I expected what was advertised on web site and other sites to be offered. I understand Covid has made an impact-but be honest in advertising and communication with guests and follow up when problems occur. Luckily this experience hasn’t affected my view of Bali and I’ll go back- just not to The Wangsa

Core Hotel Benoa

Nusa Dua Bali|0.58km from Infinity Chapel
Arriving late from International flight I was after a good value safe hotel for my Daughter and I to stay for one night. We were welcomed with a drink into clean, cool and comfortable ‘no fuss’ reception that adjoins their restaurant. There was a problem with my credit card or their credit card terminal and knowing we were tired they kindly offered to settle account in the morning which was greatly appreciated. We were escorted to our room that was small but comfortable with everything that we would need for our short stay (comfortable beds, clean linen, fridge, aircon and simple toiletries) and for the $38AUD we paid we were absolutely satisfied. Although perhaps heightened by our tiredness the room was a little noisy overlooking the main Benoa Road (we knew this however when booking) and there was also a party with loud music across the road but the noise settled quickly by midnight and we both had a pleasant restful sleep. The Balcony out front was lovely to sit on in the morning and the opening doors great for letting on some fresh air. We hadn’t booked breakfast so we can’t review the food but there are a few options available just a short walk away (we chose a Japanese restaurant a few doors down that had a good breakfast menu). We did view the pool but didn’t have the time to use it but it was certainly adequate for the hotel size and budget. Not much to be negative about but perhaps some feed back and areas of improvement. - Towels although clean a little thin and dated. - Got water didn’t seem to work early in the morning but later it was fine but took some time to come through not bad however because a cool shower often welcome in warm Bali.

We have a good honeymoon stay with Conrad hospitality service. Room is well decorated and comfy bed, amenities was complete, aircon and WiFi all work well. Nearby walking distance have some local Warung eatery convenience store to hunt some need, this is good point. The only thing was our room assigned near to the Chapel so clash up the wedding party so a bit noisy during the night (until 10pm around), recommend request to reception during the check in. Breakfast is great with many choice selection, open 7am daily. Pool is huge so can swim n chill well, we enjoy the facilities. Thank you again to Conrad team, wish to be there again soon.

The hotel is next to the Intercontinental, the back door is the seaside, and there is a small courtyard at the door. The location and price are indeed value-for-money. You need to bring your own slippers. The water is a bit salty. It is best to buy two more large bottles of mineral water for brushing your teeth and washing your face.

What an incredible stay at Holiday Inn Resort Nusa Dua! The service provided was impeccable, starting off with an upgrade to an ocean view room when our pool view room was undergoing maintenance upon our arrival, followed by complimentary fruit and chocolates as another apology, along with a chocolate cake and bed decorations for our anniversary. All staff members were so friendly, helpful and approachable throughout the whole week of our stay. Also nice to see that feedback forms are actually acknowledged and acted upon very promptly (unlike other places) as we made a simple suggestion for the breakfast to include avocado and hollandaise sauce and the next two days staff members offered us specially cooked eggs benedict with avocado. Cannot fault a single thing about our experience and without a doubt will be back to stay in the future! Special mention to duty manager Geksa who frequently checked in with us and went above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable!

The Royal Santrian

Nusa Dua
The Royal Santrian exceeded our expectations regarding the quality of the Private Villa and the levels of service. Despite being located within a relatively built up area within Nusa Dua surrounded by much larger chain resorts, the hotel is truly a boutique oasis of calm and tranquility. All of the villas are truly private and exclusive, with their own facilities and private pools - so much that we didn't need to use the main resort pool, even though it was beautiful and always very quiet. Food quality is also wonderful, with very hearty breakfast options included, free afternoon tea, and good quality menu options that are relatively good value for money despite being in a hotel. Finally, the service is top notch - butlers can be reached for anything and everything 24 hrs a day, and always answered within one ring. Also all staff members remembered us after first day and the service felt truly personalized. We will definitely be back!

More about Bali

Introduction to Bali

Bali, an Indonesian island known for its forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, and stunning beaches, is the country's most famous tourist destination. Filled with ancient temples, rich arts and crafts, and a vibrant nightlife, Bali offers a kaleidoscopic blend of natural beauty and cultural depth.

Tips for Travelling to Bali

Bali's main international gateway is Ngurah Rai International Airport, located near the capital city, Denpasar. Travelers can explore Bali through taxis, local buses, bicycles, motorbikes, or even hired cars.

The official currency is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Most hotels and restaurants accept credit cards, but having some cash on hand for local markets and smaller venues is recommended. Indonesian is the official language, but English is widely spoken in tourist areas.

As for visas, many nationalities can enter Indonesia visa-free for up to 30 days, but it's best to check before your journey.

Popular Attractions in Bali

Bali offers a wealth of cultural and natural attractions. Explore the ancient temples of Tanah Lot and Uluwatu, or immerse yourself in the artistic heritage of Ubud, Bali's cultural heart. Visit the Tegalalang Rice Terraces and the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary for unique experiences.

Bali's beaches are equally enticing, with Kuta Beach, Seminyak Beach, and Nusa Dua Beach offering vibrant beach life. Surfing enthusiasts will love the waves at Uluwatu and Canggu.

Weather, Best Time to Visit, and What to Wear

Bali enjoys a tropical climate with temperatures fairly consistent year-round. The best times to visit are during the dry season, from April to October. Bring lightweight, breathable clothing, a hat, and sunscreen to protect from the sun. Also, remember to dress modestly when visiting temples.

Choosing Your Ideal Hotel in Bali

For luxury beachfront accommodation, consider the Legian Bali or the W Bali in Seminyak. In Ubud, the Hanging Gardens of Bali offers a unique luxury experience with its Instagram-famous infinity pool.

For budget travelers, the Puri Garden Hotel and Hostel in Ubud offers comfort and excellent service. The Dash Hotel Seminyak, with its eclectic and colorful design, is an Instagram-worthy stay.
