My wife and I stayed here for one night on a recent trip to Oman. We had a nice room with a decent bathroom. We got a few English news channels which was a plus. Our room overlooked the adjacent water park which was interesting to watch. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was very good. A good variety of hot dishes and a large assortment of continental dishes. Overall the hotel reminded me of a Holiday Inn Express with a significantly better breakfast. It’s a very good value and a good choice if you’re in Nizwa.

My family came to DusitD2 in February 2024. This is a fantastic hotel in the mountains in Oman. The fasilities was excellent with heated swimming pool and. climbing park. The room was spasious and clean. Staff was was very friendly og helpful. I have allergy for gluten and I have never felt more welcome. This is one of the best hotels in glutenfree food. Glutenfree bread for breakfast and the sous chef told me for dinner what I could have. The food was delicious. The bread seemed freshly baked.

The environment is particularly good, very comfortable... Family travel is also very enjoyable, real garden hotel, you can breathe fresh air in the morning, the price is also relatively close to the people, especially recommended

Good breakfast with wide variety (incl. whole coconut, hummus, etc). Nice pool. There is another luxury hotel in the same price range about 25 minutes away in this area. We visited that one for lunch and saw that the location/view from the other hotel was even more spectacular. The location of Anantara is already very good, but it could be even better :-)

This was my first stay in Nizwa, Oman and if I will ever visit again, this hotel certainly would be the place where I would stay. There are several reasons for that, to enumerate some: 1. The location is quite good, in proximity with all tourist spots (Jebel Akhdar, Nizwa Souq, Nizwa fort etc) 2. The property is neat and clean. 3. The rooms are well equipped and are decent in size. 4. The pricing is very competitive as compared to other hotels in the vicinity. Last but not the least, the host, Mr. Anu Mathur, an incredible man who defines what hospitality is. He made our trip so comfortable and enjoyable, that we can't thank him enough. He was our one stop solution for every issue in Nizwa. I highly recommend everyone to stay in this property if you are visiting Nizwa.

Ideally located in the prime touristic area of Jebel Shams, Jebel Shams Resort promises a relaxing and wonderful visit. Some of the well-appointed guestrooms feature television LCD/plasma screen, linens, non smoking rooms, air conditioning, heating. We were upgraded to a four-poster room which was very kind of the management… but still wasn’t a great place to stay. The dark stone walls felt like a prison cell and it just didn’t feel like a relaxing hotel at all. The dinner was ok but nothing special. If you’re thinking of using this hotel because you want to go trekking in the canyon area there’s probably a good reason to choose it. But otherwise, if you just want to experience the mountain views and the canyon, we would suggest going to the Green Mountains ( Jebel Akhtar) and forgetting about the Jebel Shams trip. Or just drive up from Nizwa on a day trip ( it’s about 90 mins from Nizwa). Honestly, it’s just a rocky canyon like many you’ll have seen, and we didn’t really think it deserved a special trip.

Une vue, un nid d’aigles, un repère, un havre de paix qui se mérite, après une montée de 7 kms sur une route en pleine reconstruction. Il vaut mieux avoir un 4x4. Mais arrivé à bon port, quel dépaysement avec effectivement une vue imprenable et aussi de beaux rapaces qui planent sur la vallée. En Mai avec une moyenne de 38 à 40 degrés, nous avons apprécié d’être un peu en altitude et profiter de la piscine. A la lecture des autres commentaires, j’avais de petites appréhensions sur la qualité des finitions et surtout de la nourriture. Et bien, nous avons peut-être eu de la chance mais tout était plus que bien. Il faut dire que dans cette chaude saison, nous n’étions que deux couples dans l’hôtel. Les chambres sont spacieuses, avec un joli balcon et très belle salle de bain proposant une douche et une baignoire dont la vue mène sur cette vallée (même si je me demande encore pourquoi il y a des baignoires dans les hôtels à l’heure où il faut économiser l’eau surtout dans ces contrées). C’est vraiment un spot à faire une fois dans sa vie.
