I stayed at the Riversleigh as they were the only hotel that could offer a spa room that night so was prepared to pay extra. I was in B'dale for a medical appt and as I was going to visit a friend later that night thought it would be easier to stay o/night than drive back to Traralgon. I didn't do anything else while there so can't say what the latest tourism interests there are. Travelling from one end of B'dale to the other is easy in a vehicle as they seem to have plenty of parking and double lanes most of the way but on foot is a different story.

I was made to feel very welcome during my five-night stay. It's a quiet, older-style motel run by a friendly couple. The rooms are clean, the location is handy, room rates are good value and the owners were super helpful. They also have a really cute dog. I'll be back.

Shameful Customer Service! On arrival on Friday night 11th March 2022 (Labour Day long weekend), we went to check in and it was brought to our attention after driving six hours to be here that our rooms booked for Friday and Saturday night, where not in the system! After showing the confirmation booking email sent by management back in January 2022 (which I received after calling and booking in the four rooms personally) with the apparent “manager at the time”. They managed to find my booking on “their old system”. That was when the original man at the front desk called whom I’m assuming was his wife to come to the front office, she asked why and said loudly on speaker “Well tell them to leave there’s nothing we can do about it”. She then realized she was being listened to by myself and quickly ended the conversation. When she arrived to the office, her tone and mannerism towards us was disgusting. The words I’m sorry never left her mouth! As she slithered back out the back, her husband found us four rooms to book into for the Friday night. It was now 7.30pm! These were at full cost and not the same rooms we originally booked! As for the rest of the weekend in his words, “There’s nothing I can do” and insisted he was “stressed” by the situation… NO ATTEMPT was made to fix the situation, these incompetent people had caused. The confirmation email sent by them also stood for nothing. Would not recommend, do not trust there booking system, ability’s, customer service or general human decency for that matter.

What a perfect place to go for some real relaxation. Went on family trip and had two cabins next to each other. Was a great setup. Was not sure what to expect and it exceeded all expectations. Online pics do not do it justice. Very secluded yet close enough to Bairnsdale and Paynesville (20 mins) if you want to go for dinner or do something different. Furniture and beds were so comfortable, we only stayed 2 nights but I could easily live there. Watching the birds have their morning play was gorgeous. So many different species, was amazing. Cannot recommend highly enough for those who enjoy a quieter environment away from the crowds and hustle and bustle. Plenty to keep the kids entertained. Pool and spa area was great and good because it was never packed with people. Cabin with disability access was perfect, bathroom was like new and had everything required for person with mobility issues. Would definitely go back again.

On the island of Koala, you need to take a ferry. The latest one is 11pm, bicycles and pedestrians are free, and a car is AUD$13. The ferry takes only 5 minutes, in fact, it is a lake. Followed by Google, I found the hotel. When I opened the parking lot, I saw a group of kangaroos. The room was very big. I felt that I had upgraded the three bedrooms for free, and the hygiene was good. There are koalas on the banyan tree at the door. We found five koalas, very lucky, and there are black swan by the lake. Very quiet at night, Dad sat at the door to watch the stars, saying that he had such a beautiful night when he was a child, and he has not felt it for many years. The family likes to explain that the booking was successful. There are very few comments about this family, so I wrote a lot and hope to help the guests behind.

My wife and I stayed at the park for 4 nights in November in a 2 bedroom villa at a cost of $152.50 per night. While the cabin was very comfortable the hot water service in the shower was atrocious and was either scalding hot or freezing cold. We advised reception of this each morning and were told it would be rectified ASAP, including being told how to regulate the taps, but we were unable to have a satisfactory shower during our stay. Fortunately we did not have any children with us as they would have been in danger of being scalded and we informed reception of this again on our departure. Although reception staff were very nice and friendly this is very poor service for plus $150 accommodation.

We stayed two nights in the Lakeview suite at this stunning farm retreat. The property is set high on a ridge overlooking the Gippsland lakes and has fantastic views down to Paynesville. Day and night, in any weather there is something beautiful to see. The Lakeview suite is spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. The hosts are welcoming and friendly. These apartments are spacious and well equipped. They’re townhouses. Everything you could need was supplied including the kitchen and laundry. We received a text to let us know that the apartment was ready for check in early so we didn’t need to wait around until 3 which was great. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchen very clean. The furniture and skirting boards were a bit dusty but the units are in good condition for their age. Information on what to do and where to go in the area was provided. There are two lovely decks to sit on, one on each floor and it nice to see all the birds on the water ( you will wake to the birds in the morning). My only concern would be the need to be very vigilant if you have small children due to the proximity to the water but I don’t have any so I’ll be back !

The words I’m sorry never left her mouth! As she slithered back out the back, her husband found us four rooms to book into for the Friday night. It was now 7.30pm! These were at full cost and not the same rooms we originally booked! As for the rest of the weekend in his words, “There’s nothing I can do” and insisted he was “stressed” by the situation… NO ATTEMPT was made to fix the situation, these incompetent people had caused. The confirmation email sent by them also stood for nothing. Would not recommend, do not trust there booking system, ability’s, customer service or general human decency for that matter.

We stayed two nights in the Lakeview suite at this stunning farm retreat. The property is set high on a ridge overlooking the Gippsland lakes and has fantastic views down to Paynesville. Day and night, in any weather there is something beautiful to see. The Lakeview suite is spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. The hosts are welcoming and friendly. If you’re looking for a relaxing break away from the crowds yet within driving distance of some of the most beautiful places Gippsland has to offer then this is the place for you.

On the island of Koala, you need to take a ferry. The latest one is 11pm, bicycles and pedestrians are free, and a car is AUD$13. The ferry takes only 5 minutes, in fact, it is a lake. Followed by Google, I found the hotel. When I opened the parking lot, I saw a group of kangaroos. The room was very big. I felt that I had upgraded the three bedrooms for free, and the hygiene was good. There are koalas on the banyan tree at the door. We found five koalas, very lucky, and there are black swan by the lake. Very quiet at night, Dad sat at the door to watch the stars, saying that he had such a beautiful night when he was a child, and he has not felt it for many years. The family likes to explain that the booking was successful. There are very few comments about this family, so I wrote a lot and hope to help the guests behind.

What a perfect place to go for some real relaxation. Went on family trip and had two cabins next to each other. Was a great setup. Was not sure what to expect and it exceeded all expectations. Online pics do not do it justice. Very secluded yet close enough to Bairnsdale and Paynesville (20 mins) if you want to go for dinner or do something different. Furniture and beds were so comfortable, we only stayed 2 nights but I could easily live there. Watching the birds have their morning play was gorgeous. So many different species, was amazing. Cannot recommend highly enough for those who enjoy a quieter environment away from the crowds and hustle and bustle. Plenty to keep the kids entertained. Pool and spa area was great and good because it was never packed with people. Cabin with disability access was perfect, bathroom was like new and had everything required for person with mobility issues. Would definitely go back again.
