The Bank Hotel

Great hotel for price. 15 min walk from Central. You will not regret it!

Got an upgrade to pent suite and the view was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Convenient commute to central station by walking and lots of cafe options nearby

I had another fantastic stay at The Bank Hotel in Amsterdam. The staff was amazing - so attentive and hospitable. The location is in a wonderful neighborhood - right in the canal belt. The street and area have great restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Amsterdam!

For its genre of funky local property, this one is tops. It's super clean, has a great shower and fixtures, and helpful staff. What annoyed me is the way you enter the place. First, yes, there's a sign identifying the place as the Bank Hotel -- but the entry itself is not marked, so you kinda have to guess which door and what to do. They say the city forbids them to modernize the exterior in order to identify the entry. But I'll bet there's a creative solution out there. OK fine, deal with it. And then, when I came back late one night, freezing and dripping wet (bring your umbrella), no one answered the bell I'd been told to ring. Quite some time went by and finally I saw someone inside and knocked on the window. The guy said why didn't you wave your room key over the lock (in a needlessly mocking tone, I thought) to open the door. You know why? Nobody told me it worked like that! In the dark it sure doesn't look like a hotel lock. But -- other than the entrance situation, I really liked this place and would stay here again. I liked it better than my friend's room at the Hilton.

The hotel was okay but loud. You could hear the noise from the street all night and early morning. If you're a light sleeper, go somewhere else.

The Bank Hotel is a excellent small hotel at a great price perfect for a short stay. It was very clean and the junior studio we stayed in (4 adults) was roomy and pleasant. It looked recently renovated. The Bath was large and had enough towels for all. Everything worked. Bed were comfortable. The staff downstairs was super pleasant and helpful. We arrived very early so left our luggage in their little shared luggage room and it was fine. There is an elevator (small but did the job). The area is great. lots of shops and restaurants and not too far from old town. Lots to do (but watch out for the bicyclist LOL). We only stayed one night before returning home to US. Once at the airport we realized my sister had left her iPad in the room. We quickly called and they found it. We didn't have time to pick it up or even go out to wait for a taxi to bring it to us so we asked them to ship it (from Amsterdam to California) to us. They shipped it that day. A week later it arrived in great shape. Such helpful and nice people. Thanks again.

Great hotel! We were upgraded to the penthouse which was amazing. Very nice room, great amenities we had everything we needed. Great location, 10 mins walk from Amsterdam central.

This is a boutique hotel in a good location, walkable from the central station. Our room was small but adequate for our purposes. We did not eat at the hotel but a restaurant is attached.
