Sentrim Amboseli Lodge

The reservation is successful, the payment is made, and when I arrive at the front desk, I say that there is no such order, and Ctrip's check-in list also says no. Do you think I can't afford it? Front desk service is too unprofessional

First stop over from Nairobi. It is a long bumpy drive, but a beautiful location. A mid level lodge with fairly small semi self contained rooms but with beautiful views from the porch at the rear of the room. Comfortable bed with mosquito netting, staff spray at night. Basic bathroom, with walk in shower, desk, safe and some storage. Laundry services are available, safe and money exchange Pretty reception at entry, with meeting area and small shop. Food was served in one restaurant. Meals were buffet, but pretty good with plenty of selection. A lot of large tour groups use the hotel but it is quiet at night. Bar area open to outside and again with beautiful views. Nice pool and beautiful grounds, with monkeys as an added extra. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and the wait staff in the restaurant and bar were exceptional. Masai ”club” door keys are an interesting novelty. Very hard to lose or misplace. .Amboseli is one of the best National Parks we saw, with an abundance of animals, beautiful scenery, including a lot of swamp land that attracts hoards of elephants, hippo, rhino and buffalo, but also lions and cheetahs. Of course there is also Kilimanjaro, which, although there was very little snow, is still spectacular, especially when the clouds open up and at sunset and sunrise.

The location of the hotel is particularly good, facing Mount Kilimanjaro. Looking out from the window is the Xuefeng that made us admire, and it feels like ”Xiling snow in the window”. Opening the door and going out, the view is very wide. Elephants, zebras, wildebeests and antelopes are scattered on the vast grassland with Kilimanjaro as the background. There is a lake as far as I can see, flocks of flamingos and other waterfowls. Wake up at 5 or 6 o'clock in the morning to see elephants, wildebeests, and buffaloes lined up slowly from the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro along their respective routes. If you wear a telephoto lens, you may also be lucky enough to see the thrilling scene of a lion hunting. The price of the hotel includes three meals, but Ctrip's order stated that it does not include meals. If it weren't for the waiter's reminder, we would have lost a lot.
