3 Star Hotels in Alexandria

For the most part, the hotel was updated and comfortable. There were a couple of problems. This hotel was the host hotel for a Conference with probably 250-300 people. There were only 2 ice machines and one of them did not work. Upon arrival, we discovered that our phone in the room did not work. It was reported immediately and when we checked out 2 days later, it still did not work. To me this was a safety issue that should have been addressed immediately.

We spent four nights at the Holiday Inn downtown Alexandria. The description on Priceline said it was a brand new hotel and it definitely wasn’t new but it had been updated and was clean. When we got to our room we noticed it was missing the desk and chair that is shown in the photos and also listed as an amenity. There was a mirror on the wall like it was centered to hang over something, like a desk, but no where to be found. We asked the staff downstairs about it and they didn’t know it was missing but she said she would try to get us one. A few minutes later a nice man knocked on the door and he has a swivel chair. We were grateful for that and asked if a desk was coming too. He says, “you don’t have a desk?” And is looking past me to see and he was obviously surprised and had no clue what was going on. He didn’t think he had anymore and apologized. The next morning housekeeping came around and my husband just asked her if she knew anything about our missing desk and she said she would make a few calls and in less than five minutes someone was there at the door with a desk! Promote this young lady, she makes things happen! We ordered from the restaurant once and the hamburgers were very very good. Breakfast buffet was good and about $10.99 I think. This isn’t a Holiday Inn Express, there is no free breakfast.

This was our stop over on our way from Orlando to Dallas, so we were really looking forward to a good night's sleep. It was in a good location with nearby restaurants and grocery store. We felt safe keeping our locked moving truck on the property. Room was large and comfortable with a good hot shower with good pressure. We spoke with Gregory before and after booking. He was so friendly, informative and helpful. On arrival Tim was great for check in. Small vending area available. A good experience.

this is a great location! I stay here approx 4x a year while in town for business. It’s centrally located near all restaurants and shops in Alexandria. It’s always clean, employees and friendly. It is in need of some updating. My visit this week I noticed lots of wallpaper fraying, dirtier than usual carpeting and chips off of walls and floor boards. I did hear the front desk staff say something about how they will be painting soon. My shower had the most heavenly water pressure! It was so strong it was like getting a water massage! So random but I loved it. See you in a few months!

The stay was fine. We had to stay only for one night. But the toilet was unclean. The receptionist at the night was a little impatient. But the person on the morning shift was amazing and catered to any need anyone needed. The amenities were fine. The beddings and temperature were fine too. Breakfast was also good.

Kathryn was exceptional. She's easy to work with and VERY understanding. She made sure she went the extra mile to accommodate me and I definitely appreciate that. Superb customer service, and I would definitely recommend this place just on her hospitality.

Hotel Comfort Inn was not up to our usual expectations. We stay in a lot of Choice Hotels. Rooms need some maintenance and updating. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location for us was not important as we were just passing through. Free breakfast was a muffin and coffee. They are using the C-19 virus as an excuse compared to other hotels. The Comfort Inn & Suites a few miles away may be a much better choice. I used points and they charge me a tone of them. I've stayed in better Econo lodges. CH needs to review this hotel..
