Holiday Inn Express Port Moresby, an IHG Hotel

It was a wonderful experience, the staff are friendly and very welcoming. It may take a few minutes for your wifi to be set up but it works wonderfully when that happens. The breakfast menu is superb. I would definitely recommend.

Arrival was late in evening and airport pick up was very much appreciated . 24 hour room service also convenient and efficient . Had a delightful Caesar Salad and the reasonable price of 50PGK ($14USD). Fresh lettuce and good freshly cooked bacon pieces. Alarm set for 5am by hotel and again transport to the airport. Bath great with plenty hot water and beds very comfortable .Pleasant staff and helpful with quick response to tv query and Porter to room on arrival . Would stay again and definitely recommend for other travelers . Restaurant open till 10pm .
Gateway Hotel

I first stayed in the Gateway in the early 2000’s. The mage ent, then was pretty dreadful with some bizarre rules and practices. I have returned here after many years, and I find that little has changed in the past near quarter century. The staff are a delight. The business processes are such that it is abundantly clear that the word “hospitality” does not figure in the Steamships (the owners) vocabulary. On check in, they would not accept a debit card as prepayment/security. The extras such as laundry and meals had to be secured by a deposit, paid by my client, who resented it because any surplus remaining would not be reimbursed, but a credit note would be issued. As they would not permit a global deposit to be paid, there were two deposits, one for laundry, one for meals, and what is a local businessman going to do with a credit note for laundry services? I called for room service: curry and a beer. The menu stated that there was a “tray charge” of PGK15, fair enough. The curry arrived in a biodegrable bag containing two plastic containers similar to Tupperware containers, and a bottle of beer, with no means of opening it. The poppadums were on top of the curry, so that by the time they reached my room, they were soft and chewy. When I placed my order, the question was how I intended to pay for the food. Ten minutes later, I was advised that the front desk had graciously sanctioned the draw down on my credit. I put my laundry in, and each evening, I arrived in the room to find no laundry. I called to ask where it was, and was asked how I intended to pay for it. After phoning, the laundry arrived. However, the last time, my shirt arrived but no socks or underwear. Lost in the system despite numerous requests to look for them. Perhaps the strangest was when I ordered pizza. I ordered it at shortly after 7pm. There was a brief power outage and at 9pm, I called to ask where my pizza had gone. The room service staff had no knowledge of my order, but graciously apologised and re ordered the pizza. At 1030, I gave up and put out my light only to be awakened at 11pm by room service bearing my pizza. The whole place is being held together by long suffering staff. The structure is in dire need of investment, as my door keycard works for 48 hours before needing to be re-issued. Apparently the door card reader needs a new battery, so why on earth do they not change the damned battery instead of having me exercise my arthritic hip climbing stairs in the ultimate door challenge. On the first day, finding my way to the foyer involved following the signs to the walkway through the restaurant, which, because it is closed in the morning, is locked, and I had to unlock a door into the swimming pool area, in the rain, to get to the other side of the restaurant. - no biggy, but a sign or two would have helped. Oh! The rain. It appears that the roof is a tad porous, so the floors around the dining room were covered in sheets to soak
Airways Hotel

The Airways Hotel in Port Moresby is one of my favourite hotels worldwide. The aviation theme and the decorations and design make it unique and cleverly stylish I also want to highlight the great hospitality and customer service. I stay there every month or so and was really delighted when I sat down for dinner last night that my drinks of choice arrived without being ordered. It's lovely to feel special and remembered and a big call out to Melissa for the dedication and extra attention to detail.

24/7 room service stops at 9:00 p.m. there are signs on the menu and next to your phone saying available 24/7. But if you try to call the restaurant or the front desk they will ask you a bunch of questions about what you might want and then tell you that you cannot get it until the morning

Hilton Port Moresby Hotel & Residences

Airport pick-up service: There is communication in advance, and you must pick up the airport. It is not so safe and convenient outside, so don't be fooled! Facilities: For this country and city, this is already very good! Environment: Although you can't see the sea and lack a little feeling, you can be satisfied with hotels like this country and city. Service: Not bad, and breakfast is okay.

Booked this directly through my travel company, CWT. It was probably the cheapest out of lot, a cheap A$400/night. The rooms were ok, ac did not have any flaps or vanes so the air just came out. Bathroom was ok but or had the half glass partition which did not and never keeps the water in. Bed was ok, tv had a few decent channels. The restaurant for dinner and breakfast was ok. First morning breakfast, I didnt get the buffet and ordered a la carte with eggs Benedict. I ordered cappuccino but never got thr breakfast. I ended up walking out. The next morning I ordered the same and thr staff were very apologetic and I got everything for free. Dinner was ok, ordered safest as possible. The staff were nice and friendly. It is png so dont expect luxury or your standard holiday inn. It needs a serious upgrade, a bit tired.
Lamana Hotel

From the bottom of my heart and on behalf of my family, I would like to thank you all so much for the warm hospitality given to me and my family (25.06.2023) yesterday. It was such a memorial day as we celebrated two (2) events in one. My son's 16th birthday turned out successfully with the kind and lovely staff, on the floor, yesterday. My heart is still filled with so much gratitude for their assistance yesterday. I was also caught off guard yesterday when my partner proposed, during the event which was a shock to everyone present, even the staff. But honestly, we, my partner and I cannot thank you enough for the weeks of planning and finally having a successful celebration of the event yesterday. Thank you again, and we look forward to coming back to Lamana for another event. Sincerely, Mr.Kawi and soon to be Mrs.Kawi❤🙏
Citi Boutique Hotel

I was passing through POM on business, this was a one night stay at Citi Boutique Hotel. Was pleasantly surprised . Rooms were modern and very clean. Mine had an excellent new A/C, new TV, large bed (queen size) , small fridge, good blackout blinds. I was picked up from the airport by hotel shuttle and returned the next morning. I had a beer on the rooftop terrace, very pleasant outlook of Boroko. Dined in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Food was ok , but service times are long. Suggest you order , and have food delivered to room. I saw many other guests doing this. Every staff member, including shuttle driver, reception, restaurant manager Jacinta, waitresses, housemaids were helpful, polite and very friendly. A real credit to the hotel. I would happily return to the Citi Boutique, for good, comfortable, non-pretenious accomodation in the heart of Boroko. The hotel is right next to a major sports stadium, and has good security .
