This location is perfect! Stunning and looks onto the river. The rooms are spacious and very comfy, with mosquito nets to over the whole bed. Service at reception was excellent and we were able to keep our luggage there over night for storage while we did an overnight jungle trek. (Highly recommended) I used Izoen, the guide, to help me organize everything needed for an enjoyable hike. Hafiz was also amazing and such a wonderful person to help when I didn’t feel well and took me to the pharmacy nearby. Very convenient, warm people and safe👌 There was just one thing I would have really liked. In the room there is no kettle and coffee/tea cups to make your own coffee and tea in the room. I think this could be a nice addition - since there are such beautiful balconies and porches to sit outside. Also there was no shower gel or hand soap in shower area. But there was a hand soap by the sink.

We had an unbelievable experience here especially for the price. First of all Abdul, our driver met us at the airport with a smile great music, a Rastafarian hat, and a wonderful attitude. You would think a three point 5 Hour Dr. from the airport would be boring but it was absolutely not the scenery and the Indonesian rule life passing by your eyes is something you almost cannot turn your eyes away from it’s absolutely beautiful. Once we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the little town that the hotel sits in. Very cute streets, extremely friendly people, lots of lovely kittens in different peoples store, fronts and restaurants. And most importantly monkeys everywhere. The next day after arrival, we woke up with monkeys on a roof, and it was so much fun. They sat in a tree next to our room (we stayed in the penthouse) and just munched on the fruits in the tree, it was so much fun But really, the most important part came when my son became sick mono our guide spent the entire day with us rearranging everything. He was more than patient with us took us to the medical clinic and really helped smooth a difficult procedure. We were finally able to see the orangutans the next day and it was a life-changing experience. I highly recommend this hotel.

My stay has been very pleasant. The rooms are big and I had no problem in having the basic one. It is further away from the busier side of Bukit Lawang so it fits perfectly what I was looking for -- a bit of distance, quiet mornings, and closer to nature. Obiwan has been most helpful from the start up to helping me sort out my transportation to Lake Toba. Food is also good, and well as the jungle trek arranged. In the group, it was only the 5 of us staying at the inn. While the trek seems routine for most accommodations/travel operators, the way ours was handled was very satisfactory. The people I met became my friends eventually so it is a place for people who might want to connect with others. My best regards,
