We are regular traveller to Penang and recently we made it a point to break journey in Ipoh to make the journey less tiring and more enjoyable. For quite sometimes we have been staying at Casuarina Meru on our way back to KL. Then we found this Indra Hotel Boutique Suites and ever since we have been staying at this hotel to break journey. Indra Hotel Boutique Suites is located next to PLUS Highway exit Bercham if you are driving from the North. Tesco Ipoh is just opposite the hotel making it very convenient if you are coming during opening hours. It is a budget hotel nicely designed and quite comfortable. There are about 45 rooms in two floors. The room is well furnished with everything you need and the water pressure for taking shower is very powerful. Ironing is outside the room. There is drinking water, kettle for boiling water, telephone and safe deposit box. They also provide air cond and a fan. The bed is comfortable. There is one pillow for each person but you can ask for more. A cash deposit of RM50 is needed. There is no restaurant but a mamak restaurant is just opposite. Public Parking is available around the hotel and there a few lots reserved for customers on first come first serve basis. There is seats at the Lobby and a Table for 6 in case you have discussion. The rate is the best from RM130-200 depending on the room type. Counter service is OK just for check in and check out. It has been my second home now. Try it out the next time you are in Ipoh. Book for 2 queens, received 2 queens & a single. Free parking only from 0730H-2230H under next building not in front of hotel. Bed unsturdy but useable. Receptionist is not always on the counter. Need to renew hotel card daily otherwise unuseable. Do install Park Perak app for easier parking life as no more parking coupon will be found. Body wash gel sould be provided but was not. Towel, toothbrush with paste, instant coffee with glass provided. Water machine & iron was helpful.

This my first time staying here. Checked inn was smooth and consider fast also. Staff all ok. Got room on higher floor as per requested. They provide parking here so dont have to worry. Book it last min before 1 day I arrive ipoh, thought only for a sleep so no need booking expensive hotel, but this hotel makes me not comfortable because someone wants to open my door at midnight 3am, not sure the ppl going to wrong room or what. I think it’s ok for budget travelers. I’ll book another hotel earlier if travel to ipoh again 😆

We came for a business trip. And according to the hotel management, due to the heavy rain, the heater got damaged and there was no hot water in the shower for 2 days in the 3 nights we stayed. Hot shower is very important in any stay in hotel. More so when you are on a business trip as you need to look & feel good. I just jokingly asked the front counter Malay lady if this case is there a discount ? She didn't even reply or look at me. So now I know there are better hotels nearby like the MH or 1969 Business Suite to stay for my next trip.

Clean and close to the highway which is convenient for an overnight stop. Wi-Fi password was not correct and we couldn’t connect. Good price when booking online but not good for walk in guests. Firstly they denied the fact they had Superior room available though it was available on booking systems. Instead they offered us deluxe room which was twice time more expensive. When we showed them availability online they offered us to book it online but warned that it would be impossible because it was already after 0:00. But that was a night time and we just need a few hours sleep before further trip. We successfully booked Superior room online (which “was not available”) and the price was cheaper than for walk in guests. Why did they lie to us about availability? Hoped we would pay for the more expensive option though the cheaper room was available? Looks like not very friendly and welcoming attitude to a tired guests.

(CNY stay with my 7mo baby) I'm sorry, but I originally intended to complain about the long queue for breakfast. However, I changed my mind after observing how friendly the waitresses were, even though they were very busy. Unfortunately, one disappointing encounter with the room service staff made me leave a negative review. When I called the room service and asked for help in freezing my ice pack so that I could store my breastmilk in the car when I travel back home, the staff member told me that there was a chiller in the room. I explained that the chiller couldn't freeze the ice pack, so I needed the hotel's assistance. To my surprise, the staff member asked me to pack the ice pack nicely and bring it down to reception. It was already 10:30 pm, and I was in my pajamas with my 7-month-old baby. I had to wake her up and carry the ice pack all the way down to reception. In addition to this negative experience, I also had to queue for breakfast with my baby on both days. I thought that they should open a hall if there weren't enough tables for the guests, but the waitresses were still friendly and welcoming, even though they didn't have a baby chair for the first 10 minutes. Despite this, I never thought of leaving a bad review. I was disappointed and saddened when I had to walk all the way down to reception at night with a baby, and I don't think that guests should have to do that.

Great place, the design of this hotel is very aesthetically pleasing. Hotel was very accommodating of the request for the special occasion. Location is convienent to get to most attractions or central places. Albeit minor cleanliness in terms of dust it isn't an issue at all. TV is slightly difficult to navigate and is not a smart TV so this is something to note. Overall is very worth the price point, highly recommended!

Clean and nice room. However, need to park on the shoulder of the road and basement parking is limited because it is shared with the UMNO building. Besides that, anyone who plans to find peace and to have a good rest shouldn’t check-in at this hotel. There’s construction going on behind the hotel starts as early as 7:30AM and ends as late as 10:00PM. The noise is very disturbing and annoying.

Superb, awesome👍🏻 thats the comment from our family of 7 pax- includes 3 elderly, felt throughout our stay in this hotel. The presidential suite is huge, it’s clean, tidy and well equipped as all 4 bedrooms are attached with toilets, also the kitchen. Especial thanks to the house keeping team has also done a marvelous job, not only cleaned the place daily but also have helped my brother to find his wallet. Plus point… it’s location is very convenient, surrounded by many eateries.

Hotel location is near to town. About a 5min grab. The hotel look nice with with rustic look and feel. The room is clean with a dyson(or a look and feel like Dyson) hairdryer. A little thing to take notes is that there is no convenient store in the vacinity and limited food option around the area. But is not a big issue with the cheap grab in ipoh provided that there is time.

We booked 2 deluxe rooms from the hotel website for 1 night. It cost only RM150/night. Located at Meru, nearby Jelapang (Ipoh North) a new township. Hotel is owned by the State Government. Pros: - Value for money - Adequate room space - Modern amenities & fittings in the room - Package include drive thru movie for guests - Night vibes outside : Roundabout - Still considered new & well maintained -Staff are attentive - Lot of parking space but shared with the convention centre. Please note the parking space are open. Cons: - Location - not in central Ipoh where all the vibes - 10-15 mins drive to town or Ipoh Garden /Bercham / Tambun - No facilities - swimming pool The room package comes with breakfast which you have to pre-select from the choices available.

Overall a wonderful experience at Kinta Riverfront. I booked 2 units of 3 bedroom apartment. The aircond in the master bedroom wasn't powerful enough to cool the entire room, we had to push the bed a little to the right so that the AC blows cool air directly at us. Cleaner only cleaned what can be seen, upon moving the bed by about an inch and a half, I was able to see how dusty the room actually is. There were ants at the pantry, no dishwashing liquid provided. We wanted to wash our cups to avoid ants, had to use the shower gel instead. Poor soundproofing, you can hear the upbeat music from coming from Kinta Riverwalk open space where they have perform fireshows at night. Our units were on level 17 and 18 respectively. On the second night, there were construction going on until 1am. We even saw sparks coming out from one of the balconies. Drilling and hammering sounds, no, not the spooky type. We complained to the receptionist around 9pm but the noise happened again between 11pm and 1am. You will have neighbours who have dogs that will bark at strangers. Parking was plenty and easy to access. Bellboy greeted us with welcome drinks. Receptionist was warm and friendly. Wished I had the chance to try their breakfast. Perhaps next time. Will definitely come again but request for higher floors.
