|1.03km from downtownGreat location 5 min walk from Pulteney Bridge - lovely terrace overlooking the bowling green and cricket ground towards the Abbey. We had a room in one of the more recent additions to the Bird - whilst this was next to the Bar and terrace it was very quiet and extremely spacious. Fantastic spa bath and large separate shower. Not given 5 stars as the room, whilst really plush did not have a window with a view ( skylight with electric blind) and was quite warm. I’m not in favour of automatically air conditioning rooms, however, this room does need additional cooling. The Hotel are aware of the need for cooling and will no doubt address the issue. Would certainly not stop us booking again - special mention for Caroline and Howard - members of the team you should be proud of.

|0.82km from downtownWe stayed in a triple room and were delighted with the comfort and cleanliness. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing - 2 of us had the full English and 1 had avocado, smoked salmon and poached egg on toast. There was also a selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt, juices, pastries, coffee and tea. All delicious. The location is superb, being very central.

|1.04km from downtownOverall, it's pretty good. It's clean and the service is attentive. The hotel is also exquisite and compact. It would be nice if the room was a little bigger. In Bath, I don't think the price/performance ratio is high, but it's still a good experience.

|1.67km from downtownI was surprised to have booked an authentic British-style hotel with a history of more than 200 years. Clean, tidy, bright and elegant, the quilt is warm and the heating is sufficient. I ordered breakfast included. Breakfast is very formally ordered from the menu. It is worth more than 20 pounds and is very delicious. I think the price/performance ratio is high.
The hotel is very close to the Royal Crescent, but there is a long slope. It is a bit difficult to carry suitcases with you. It is good if you have a car.

|3.13km from downtownPositives - excellent receptionist (Vipin) and without his help I would have probably checked out early. Has parking. Reasonable location and access into central Bath. Has an electric kettle and a pack of cookies.
Not so positives - In desperate need of upgrade, creaking floors, wash basin outside the bathroom. It isn’t for work related travellers as you cannot even use an iron without tripping off the entire building main switch and once that happen there is no 24 hour active reception. No fan or iron provided in room so you have to ask. Tiny computer monitor used as a make shift TV that you have to pull out of a closet. No drinking water in room. Value for money not there as many better locations available at same or lower price.

|1.22km from downtownJust enjoyed 2 nights in Room 3 at Brock's guest house and we loved it. It was clean and tidy and the bed was so comfortable! There were tea and coffee facilities, iron/ironing board and hair dryer. We loved the decor, especially the wooden window shutters! The location is incredible, right between the royal crescent and the circus. Just a few minutes walk from the bars, restaurants and shops. Friendly staff that had thought of everything. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place and would love to go back!

|0.96km from downtownWe stayed at the Ayrlington in the Orchid room which is situated below road/car park level so is a little on the gloomy side & in need of some touch up paint but as we didn't too spend much time in the room during our 2 night stay over Easter it wasn't a major issue. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was hot & powerful enough & the room has a safety deposit box & a large flatscreen TV. The a la carte breakfast overlooking the hotel's garden was delightful with several hot choices as well as fruit, cereals etc & was served over 3 sittings. The bar was a nice place to relax & drinks were reasonably priced for a city hotel. It costs £10 to park in the car park per night. Staff throughout our stay were extremely friendly & helpful. For us this hotel was perfectly positioned, being able bodied over sixties, the hotel is close enough for the sights in Bath city centre (around a 10 min walk to the Roman Baths, the Abbey or Pulteney Bridge/weir) but just far enough to be away from any noise.

|4.38km from downtownOur wedding at the Limpley Stoke Hotel on Saturday 1st October '22 was fabulous! Karen, the events manager, was on hand throughout the entire process, answering any questions we had and helping to ensure our day ran smoothly. The duty manager, George, was excellent and deserves recognition for his work ethic and social skills. He again was on hand to ensure the day ran smoothly, but regularly checked all was OK and nothing seemed too much for him - for example, he offered to heat my nephews food (a one year old), going above and beyond. Hugo, one of the bartenders, also deserves a shout out and recognition! We had multiple guests compliment him - excellent service! All staff on hand to help with the day were lovely, including those available during breakfast the following morning. The only downsides we had were: the DJ assigned to us - poor/lack of communication and also informed us that we could request as many songs as we liked for the evening - he did not play many of these at all, yet continued to ask guests for song requests throughout the night, ignoring the bride and groom. The fact we did not have access to the bridal suite all day/at an earlier time - so had to book a separate, smaller room, the night before for the bridal party to get ready in, with belongings moved across later - we were unable to gain access to the bridal suite until a later time Food was excellent! And the rooms as expected with comfy beds and super views! Thank you

|0.41km from downtownThe location is good, too close to the train station, less than 5 minutes walk, right on the main street. The landlord guy is very handsome. The room we stayed in was better, with two beds, the room would be a bit smaller, but there was a wash basin in the room, and the bathroom was public, but it was relatively clean. It is close to the main street, but the windows have two floors, and the sound insulation is better, and the curtains are good for shading. Breakfast is included, and the boss can also fry eggs, bacon, and sausages, which is also free. It's very close to the city, and it's very convenient to walk to all the attractions. After all, Bath is not big. In peak season, housing prices are high, except for slightly higher prices.

|0.54km from downtownHave returned from a 1 night stay at Hotel Indigo, booked for us by a family member so had done little research on the hotel, we arrived to a really friendly reception and were shown to our room 531. We were so impressed with the room and facilities, the entire place was completely spotless, comfortable beds, ample space and storage options, excellent lighting. The shower was divine! Reception phoned us to check everything was ok shortly after check in which was a nice touch and booked us in for breakfast at the hotels restaurant (The Elder) for the next morning at a time that suited us. Food and drinks at the elder were fantastic although a little pricey but that’s to be expected in Bath, however we didn’t mind the price given the excellent service received. Very close to city centre and all tourist attractions and good options of restaurants and bars all within a short walking distance. I really feel like I need to stress just how clean this entire hotel was, literally spotless in the room and all communal areas, one of the best we have ever stayed in. Nothing was too much to ask, all staff we encountered were more than friendly and made us feel welcome. We would definitely return to this hotel if in Bath again. Fantastic service all round. Thank you

Bath
|0.56km from downtownThis review could have been a two-star one, but happily it wasn't, and is the only reason I haven't given five stars. My parents booked myself and my partner in for a two night stay for my 40th birthday - dinner, bed and breakfast for both nights. However, the booking on the hotel's end only showed bed and breakfast. (This part is the two stars) So, on conversing with my parents, and now armed with the reservation email, I popped to Reception and spoke to (who I am guessing is) the Front of House Manager, who had already been so enthusiastically welcoming - and on learning it was for my birthday gave me a voucher for free fizz! Anyway, once I showed the email it was sorted. Didn't have to say another word, and she was still there at dinner time, so confirmed it with the Bar Manager. The restaurant is small with a small menu, so is not the type of place I would have chosen had it not been for the deal. However, the food was delicious on both nights (first night spatchcock chicken, second night steak) and because it was so quiet, the food was quick and it felt like private dining - we were really looked after. The Bar Manager told us he could make any cocktail on the menu, as long as they had the ingredients, so I put this to the test and ordered my favourite - the Jelly Baby. I was not disappointed. The best bit was on the second night, the waitress, on learning it was my birthday put a candle in my dessert - the strawberry sundae (which as it was adorned with grapes and macarons I feel should be called the strawberry surprise. Especially when a candle is included!) She also listened intently to my partner talking about fish for about 10 minutes - talk about above and beyond! Our room was a basement room (004) and looked out into a lovely quiet courtyard, was at the end of the corridor so didn't have any rooms next to us on one side, and the bathroom provided a buffer between the room on the other side. Above was the (decadent and luxurious) ladies' toilets, a couple of times I heard footsteps, but that was it. The bed incredibly comfortable, and the shower was amazing (rainforest style, high pressure - and because it's Bath, amazing water quality. My hair was so soft! (And the lighting in the bathroom and on the dressing table highlighted the shine.) Breakfast was also good (although as my partner said, a bit too American - mainly referring to how crispy the bacon was - a minor point, but something to think about if, like me, you prefer your bacon ”under-cooked”!) I had eggs royale for my first breakfast and the charcuterie platter with fruit salad for my second. They were also happy to make more toast when I realised I was still hungry! On the second morning, I found out it was only our waiter's second shift - I wouldn't have realised until I heard him say! Overall, it was definitely the staff that made my stay special - and one I will remember. From Check-In to Check-Out, every interaction was brilliant, and in their own way, every one

The host was so helpful and attentive.
My room was clean and comfortable! I had access to plenty of wardrobe space,a TV with Netflix, a fridge, kettle and a well stocked box of tea treats (& fresh cakes too!)
Breakfast was gorgeous and fresh. There were plenty of local leaflets available to read about local events and attractions too.
Thank you very much!

|3.31km from downtownThe hotel is huge! It is located on a small hillside in the outskirts of Bath. The scenery is pleasant. At night, you can overlook the night view of Bath and see the stars. Convenient transportation, the hotel is on the main road to the center of Bath, and the highway from the city is also very close. There is a lot of free parking for self-driving. There are a number of bus lines directly to the city centre of Bath next to the hotel. It is convenient to have buses from morning to night. The hotel is large, with many rooms, clean and comfortable, and soundproof. The rooms are modern and fully equipped, and the mattress pillows are comfortable. The hot and cold water pressure in the bathroom is very stable, and there are many tea and coffee options in the mini bar in the room. The closet has a sense of opening and closing the door, so I thought very carefully. The wireless network is stable and there are many choices for TV stations. Breakfast selection. The service staff was very kind and caring. I will choose to stay at this hotel in the future.

|2.46km from downtownI had planned a trip to Bath with the purpose of proposing to my now fiancée. Once booking our stay here I notified the Host, Richard of my intentions and he couldn’t have been more helpful. He helped provide flowers, balloons and even a bottle of Prosecco for us to come back to after proposing. Such a beautiful and well cared for building. With such rich and beautiful history. Richard gave us great advice and knowledge of the building and surrounding areas we were planning on visiting. I couldn’t have hoped for a better experience. Richard and his beautiful Villa made it an experience we will never forget. Thank you for everything.

|0.97km from downtownThe hotel service is first-rate, the front desk staff is super nice, the lady will chat with you by the way, if necessary, a cup of tea and coffee will be made during the waiting time, especially sweet. I was worried about the room’s small and specially set standard room. When I entered the room, I felt that the space was quite large. We brought two 28-inch boxes and there was no problem at all. We ordered the main course for breakfast according to the menu. The buffet cakes were very authentic. The style, Egg Benedict is very good, but don’t try blood pudding lightly. I am not used to it no matter how many times I eat it. Bath is very small and all attractions can be reached on foot. The hotel is 7-8 minutes walk from the Roman baths, bath abbey is opposite the baths, and the famous thermae bath spa is 3 minutes away from abbey. The house of Jane Austen and the fashion meseum are on the same road, even the farthest The Royal Crescent is only a 15-minute walk away.
It should be noted that the check-in time is after 3 pm and check-out before 11 am. Although the time is a bit tight, this service is really the best in the English-style hotel I have ever stayed in. When we put down the suitcase and go When we turn to the city, we have already put it in the room when we come back. When we check out, we will chat with the young lady at the front desk. Not only will I give you travel suggestions but also recommend the hotel to you, we talked about our trips, no I feel that I am staying in a hotel, it is very warm, highly recommended😉

|2.82km from downtownWe are currently staying for a couple of days in Bathen House Boutique Hotel in Bath. This hotel is certainly one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The rooms are bright, airy and spotlessly clean. The bathroom is very modern and has a beautiful bath and very large fluffy towels that will go round you twice. Bath
|0.73km from downtownLets start with the pros. The interior of the apartment is nice and just like the pictures. Its recently renovated, well equipped and spacious. Rooms are clean and beds are comfy. Location is very central, but also its downfall..... Now to the cons..... The biggest issue is the apartment is soooooooooo noisy! The 2 bedrooms face a main pedestrian street and there's noise from 7am when people start setting up stalls to well past midnight when drunken people loudly walk past. Fri and Sat night were the worst, there was noise till 2am. Must be an issue with apartments nearby as there was a gathering of people on the street and heard someone told them off. That is just one of the noisy groups going through the area. You can hear every laugh, conversation, high heel hitting the pavement. Good quality ear plugs is a must to get any sleep. Although the apartment had ”double glazing”, it did absolutely nothing as the glass used is too thin. Bath is a big university town so there's no shortage of loud drunken people at night. The complex doesn't have a lift. It has 4 apartments, one on each level, so be prepared to haul your luggage up stairs. Especially if you are staying at the penthouse, it will be 4 flights of stairs. Although these are serviced apartments, there's no manned reception onsite. This isn't a big deal, until something is wrong with your room and you need to call the offsite manager who may not be able to help in a timely manner. Probably won't stay here again, can't sleep due to noise!

|0.51km from downtownHad high expectations of my stay and it was completely fulfilled and I was impressed.
Overall welcome and ambience was just right being professional and sincere.
Our bed room, junior suite after upgrading with extra fee, was reasonably sized although the bathroom with the layout of the door made it difficult and slightly dangerous to enter / close behind guest.
The spa village was busy but understandable; it felt clean and very updated overall so there was less of a concern on hygiene which is understood can be difficult to maintain standards.
The breakfast room, choices and service was fine as expected so it’s worth signing up for. Although by day 2, it was hard fo imagine having another breakfast so possibly having breakfast for one day as an option would be good.
Would have liked to have body lotion in bathroom as I had to rely on the one available in the spa village… and with 2 nights stay, toiletries were not replenished …
Always a nice welcome when soft drinks / mini bar is complimentary ; although it doesn’t cost a lot to fill a fridge but small gestures like these make guests feel more welcomed
Thanks for a great stay; would like to take my 80 year old mum here sometime in future as she would enjoy it tremendously !!

|1.41km from downtownThe location of the hotel is very good, just inside the Crescent Building, we ordered room delivery on the day, the room service was good & # 128077; but there was no Chinese courtesy in the promotion: the kettle in the room was a phone call and the waiter delivered it In the past, the so-called Chinese logo was also limited to no smoking and no Chinese facilities list. We called our front desk without a Wi-Fi signal before changing our room, and our check-in experience on the day was not good. : Because it rained, we arrived a little earlier (hotel check-in was at 3 pm) and had been waiting in the lobby for nearly two hours before proper check-in was made. Check-in took place during the period when seven or eight foreign tourists arrived. During the check-in process for them, I was puzzled. I went to the front desk twice to ask. Their answers were different rooms for the guests and us. Their room types were taken care of, and our room was not good. It was a coincidence. That day, so many batches of tourists were so lucky that none of them stayed in our room type. We also encountered bad conditions when we arrived early when traveling abroad, but the hotel Let ’s wait a bit, and deal with it as soon as possible, so that guests can check in as soon as possible (except for the large resort hotel where there are many guests, the cleaners are too busy, and it may not be possible to check in early). According to my observation, this hotel Not so large, but it really made us wait for three points, not a minute ahead of time, unfortunately we do n’t agree with this hotel, and we ca n’t reach the service concept of a five-star hotel

|0.32km from downtownThis is an old hotel with a history of more than 100 years. It is just opposite the Bath train station and it is very easy to find. It doesn't matter if you arrive at the hotel early, the front desk has a good attitude and you can leave your luggage for travel. Book a family room with an extra bed and three breakfasts. The difference from other hotels is that you have a sense of dignity. There is a menu for everyone to order personal breakfast, steak, salmon, classic breakfast (ham), etc., so it is a bit slow, time consuming, and a little more Time for breakfast. The hotel should have no parking on the side of the road. The hotel is a bit old, the equipment and other things look old, such as showers, room door locks, not very easy to use, not an electronic card, it is not used to open the door with a key. There is a kettle in the room for boiling water. It is very convenient to go out and travel, 10 minutes walk is the classics such as the downtown cathedral!

|0.97km from downtownAt first check-in, staff said my booking’s payment was failed, I showed my booking confirmation with clearly stated payment successful, then he printed a confirmation for me to sign but I found that’s another one’s booking… totally another name…
The 2nd print out was just showing my name without another personal information and I was told it’s okay to sign…
Once I entered my room, there’s no bath tub, I called the concierge and claimed that when I booked this room type, photo clearly showed there’s bath tub and that’s why I chose this more expensive room type, staff just told me only Superior King room type offered bath tub…
When I tried to take a shower, there’s no shower gel & face tissue in the toilet… what a big surprise that a so called 4 stars hotel could provide such service standard…
I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone going to BATH for a visit…
And what’s more, this is my Birthday trip with more than 3 hrs drive from the North, they really gave me a BIG surprise!!

I am very grateful for this reservation we made in advance because it was the best meal we have had in Ireland in nine days and my mom and I were intoxicated with scallops and they melt in your mouth. For dinner, we all booked Fillie steaks in Angus, Ireland. I tried steaks in different regions of the world, but this time the steak was simply one of the best steaks I have ever had. Irish coffee and chocolate cake as our dessert. Not only was the food very tasty, but the service was very attentive. It was a very special meal for us and almost everything was perfect.

They were helpful with moving luggage and specific requests. The breakfast is brilliant, as they accommodate different diets (e.g. gluten free, dairy free) and will obtain specialist food or drinks if asked (e.g. alternative milk). The room was large, stylish, clean and comfortable with quality extras such as natural hand soap and hand cream (no harsh chemicals). I would highly recommend Dukes, especially for those with dietary requirements.

The bedroom was comfortable with and very clean as was the bathroom facility. A fan was provided to make sleep more comfortable. In the morning we went down to the immaculate kitchen diner which was very homely and breakfast was cooked to order by our host Monika with many choices including salmon and scrambled egg or a very large full English. We couldn't fault the breakfast experience or the B&B and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone and at £130 for the room including breakfast it was excellent value. Thank you Monika.
