Loved my stay at the Flora. It is the perfect place to both stay in Hanoi and to use as a base for doing tours in the region. Mrs Anna, the tour information lady extrordinaire, will send you information about tours to choose from when you book a stay at the hotel and then arrange them for you at most competitive rates. All you have to do is catch the tour bus to places like Ha Long or Ninh Binh. Most convenient. The hotel itself is located in a perfect spot for exploring the Old Quarter. The lake, water puppet theatres, and a huge range of shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. There is also a weekend market that is not to be missed. The hotel rooms are extremely comfortable and clean. I was particularly pleased with how neat and clean the rooms are kept each day. Excellent cleaning staff. Breakfast is provided with a wide range of foods available, including freshly cooked eggs on request. Loved the kitchen/breakfast staff. In fact, all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. If I return to Hanoi, I will certainly stay at the Flora.

The hotel's location is quite central in the Old Quarter where you may find anything you want quickly - food, Viettel store (for Simcard), massage parlors etc. Our room was upgraded to a family room with 2 queen size beds. The bed and pillow were okay. Just that for the bathroom - no label of which is shampoo and bath gel and it is difficult to press the container for both shampoo and bath gel. Hotel should consider changing the containers. Also, the water drainage a bit choked and after bathing, pool of water will be there and take a while to clear. My friend in another room was also mentioning that the toilet bowl has a bubbling sound from the drainage. Good that the hotel improves on all these.

The hotel is very reasonably priced, it is a 3 star hotel so I’m not expecting total luxury. The rooms are nice, the beds very comfortable and the service is excellent. I would have marked it as 5 from 5 but I did have one issue. On arrival I couldn’t find a safety deposit box in my room. The hotel advertises that all rooms have one, mine didn’t. Having a safe was part of the reason for booking La Palm so I was disappointed in this. I spoke with Lily on reception next morning and she advised she would get one to my room that day. A safe arrived but when I tried it, it wasn’t working so I had to have that one replaced. I have to say Lily was very professional, kind, courteous and helpful. The hotel is lucky to have her as the face of their business. Breakfast was as you’d expect at this price point, it was fine and no complaints. They have a spa which I used and the therapists were very professional and at the top of their game, they have fabulous therapists which I recommend using. All in all a comfortable stay for 2 nights, other than the safe issue I can’t fault it.

Located in the old town just north of Hoan Kiem Lake, the location is great. The rooms are relatively clean and the staff are very responsive. Breakfast doesn't have a lot of items, but it has a few fruits and is very cost-effective. The shower flow was a little weak, but I think that's normal for hotels of this class in Vietnam. People who need a powerful shower may be dissatisfied. I had enough. However, the floor of the shower room is slippery, so it might be dangerous if you don't wear the provided flip-flops. The pottery shop in front of the hotel is the same as Amai, and is cheaper than Amai.

Firstly il start by congratulating Hannah and the team for all their help, assistance and guidance during our split 3 nights here. Unfortunately there was an issue with our original booking for interconnecting rooms but no problem Hannah did her best to sort it out with options offered, which was fine. Hannah and the team also sorted out and kept a very close eye on our trip to Halon Bay which we booked through the hotel as part of our package. Our package included all transfers to Halon Bay and to/from the airport. Our trip To Halon Bay (V Spirit Cruises) was pushed back by 1 day due to a typhoon again no problem, rearrangements were made and the trip was thoroughly enjoyed by the family. Breakfast is really good here with all accommodated for all and lots of advice is given by the front desk on where and when to go to the various tourist places around Hanoi. Rooms are all really nice with good wifi (important for an 11yr old) & hotel cannot be faulted, it’s central location is easy to navigate with lots of very good cheap shopping on the doorstep. Speaking of on the doorstep, enjoy the late night karaoke and Dj by the locals your in for a treat. Well done Hannah and team, Thank-you.

This great hostel is in a great location in the old quarter alongside a busy road. The staff are really good and the check in process is simple and easy. The 6 dorm bed was clean and comfortable and we got some great nights sleeps. There is a bed light, a free locker big enough to store huge backpacks, and a curtain for each bed for privacy. The bathrooms are clean, the showers are hot and powerful, and there is shampoo and shower gel available too. You are also given a free towel at check in. Wi-Fi is great, and there are some relaxing common areas which are great for reading and planning activities etc. Laundry is available at the hostel and they can turn it around in 24 hours (cheapest) or even quicker (pay more). Overall I would absolutely recommend staying here as this hostel really is brilliant.

The hotel is not far from 36th Street. It is more convenient to have something to eat at night. The decoration of the lobby also looks better, but it is not the same when entering the room. The overall feeling is like the decoration style of Chinese hotels 20 years ago, but it should be good in Vietnam. The only thing that annoyed me was waking up in the morning by the sound of the electric drill next door! It was really uncomfortable. I called the front desk and responded. The situation did not improve. I left without falling asleep.

The location and service were very good, but there were countless small flies flying around in the room. Furthermore, something like a cockroach came out in the shower room. Also, the shower only came out with water, which was a problem. However, the Wi-Fi is strong and you can register Youtube, Netflix, and Amapura on the TV, so you can enjoy stress-free on the big screen even during your stay.

The room was booked and paid at the Family Transit Hotel. The room put us in shock, where the hotel is located too. And we moved to the Dragon Airport Hotel, regardless of the money already spent. Compared to the previous one, it was a super place to stay, although the noise of the track gave you information. Thanks to hotel staff for helping to transport things from a previously booked Family Transit Hotel. In the Dragon Hotel... clean. You feel safe. Bed is comfortable. I don't want to say that good breakfast, but there is no place to eat nearby. In general, in terms of food and in the rest of Hanay much poorer than Hoshimin. Near the airport we have cost a lot of hotels because of the situation. And this seemed to us the best option. If you are a tourist with claims, there is not one hotel near the airport that will not suit you.

Our group of 6 stayed 3 nights at peridot. We had some hiccups which was of no fault by the hotel..( like losing one luggage from our group from our cruise, and tour operator etc). The hotel went above and beyond to help us resolve our problems. Special thanks to Plum, who was so nice and friendly and was so professional and efficient to resolve issues for us. Hotel has plenty of restaurants and street food everywhere and is very near the lake. Beautiful pool and sky bar too.Everyone was very friendly and helpful, from the bellboys to the front desk staff. They even gifted my mom who has a bad knee a herbal compress from the spa. Small details and kind gestures made our stay here so special. 5 stars to the peridot team!

The location of the hotel is okay, and the service attitude is okay, but I think it's a bit strange. My colleague arrived at the hotel first and did not provide BOOKING and passport information. The front desk directly called her name and gave her the room card. After we checked in for one night, when we returned to the hotel the next night, the boy at the front desk asked us to have our passports copied. Before having breakfast, I gave my room card to the man at the front desk to check out, and he said it was OK. I said I had ordered laundry service, and he told me to have breakfast first and do the accounting later. Then after breakfast, I went to the front desk, and he told me again. I said, are you sure you don’t have to pay? What did he say to pay? I asked about the money for washing clothes, and he said wait, and then after confirming it again and again, someone took the bill. The hotel is okay overall, but I feel that there are some problems with the internal management. If I am not an honest person, and the front desk told me twice that it was okay, if I did not ask for the cleaning bill any time, then they would not receive the money. . I also asked what to do in that situation? The front desk told me that it was their front desk and customer service responsibility. It would be better if I feel that internal management and training need to be strengthened. The breakfast is average and can be enough to fill you up. It is not particularly rich or not rich. But the taste of the powder is a bit strange and not very delicious. It was okay when I checked in for the first time, but this time it was obviously not as delicious as before. The texture of the noodles and the taste of the soup were both wrong. Hope it improves.

A great hotel in the Old Quarter and very convenient for sightseeing in Hanoi. Situated near beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake and its lovely gardens, trees and temples. Very reasonable rates- value for money. The rooms are comfortable, clean and air-conditioned. Clean towels and water ere delivered daily. The breakfast buffet was good and you could also order from the breakfast menu so there was lots of choice. The staff make this hotel. David the manager is very welcoming and extremely helpful as is his staff, particularly Henry and Ian. Nothing was too much trouble. David booked our sightseeing trips to Ninh Binh, Halong Bay and Sapa for us - all were excellent and at very good prices. Pick ups from the hotel were organized by the staff so that made organising transoport easy. The hotel has Vietnam SIM cards for your mobile, and they also provide a currency exchange. We couldn't have been happier as it made organization easy and we had a smooth, trouble free, comfortable and a very happy stay at the Rising Dragon Legend Hotel. Thank you David, Henry, Ian and the rest of the staff. We'll return. Peter and Vicki, Australia.

Spent a night here en route to Sapa. Booking directly with Jessica , the manager was seamless and cheaper than through some hotel booking platform. Jessica will assist you with all information you need through whatsapp and welcome us personally. Check in was easy and even served us welcome drinks and fruits. As most of Vietnam hotels , noise and poor insulation are common and Jessica allocated a room at the back with window. we have a very good rest here. The room can be a bit dated but its clean with all the amenities and a very comfortable king size bed. The location is also ideal as it is slightly off the tourist area but only few minutes walk to Ho Kiem Lake, which means it is much more quiet here. We need to leave early and they served us breakfast just before breakfast time-630am. Delicious omelette and some buffet items which is a plus as eating out here are longer cheap. Will definitely stay here again if in Hanoi.

Tony, Chuong, Annie really went the extra mile to make my stay perfect. Tony was very proactive always inquiring if everything is ok and making suggestions, if better options were available, that I did not think of. Chuong helped me restoring my by mistake deleted pictures from the cameras SD card once I came back from SaPa - thank you so much! Without you I would have not been able to use the camera - or I‘d have to buy a new SD card. Annie was great in explaining the differences in the tours, asking what I expect and was also very honest when telling me that the 6 hour tour is the standard one day tour everyone takes and is hence a little more crowded. The location of the hotel is a 5 minute walk to the Hoan Kiem Lake and the Opera (there is the money exchange offering great rates - Quoc Trinh Gold Shop - right around the corner) as well as to the train street. The train station, if you‘re going to SaPa by train is approximately a 15 minutes walk. The rooms (as I stayed there twice, I got to use two different rooms) are very clean, cleaned daily and have really comfortable beds. Really loved staying there and will be for sure staying there again, if coming back to Hanoi.

Room is a decent size for the price but the AC is rubbish, water marks and weird stains on the ceiling and wall, wallpaper peeling off and the shower wasn’t great. Generally didn’t seem very clean, I found someone else’s hair tie on the bedside table and glitter in the bathroom. The sheets smelt very perfumed which made it seem like they hadn’t been cleaned and smelt of the previous person who slept in them. Staff were friendly but a bit pushy trying to sell spa treatments and despite putting do not disturb on the door we were awoken with consistent knocking and the phone ringing by housekeeping trying to get in. We recently had the sheer pleasure of staying at the Hanoi Stella Hotel for three nights and our hearts are still nestled in the warm embrace of this exquisite establishment. Situated in the vibrant heart of Hanoi, the location afforded us the luxury of strolling through the city’s captivating streets with utmost ease. The rooms we were initially provided were a haven of comfort, showcasing pristine hygiene, especially in the bathrooms, which is always a big tick. The jewel in the crown was undoubtedly the staff whose proficiency in English was matched only by their boundless kindness. Their welcoming smiles immediately dissolved any travel-weary tension, making our interactions with them utterly delightful. Our adventure beckoned us to Sapa for a few days, but we found ourselves looking for the comforting cocoon of Hanoi Stella. Without a second thought, we booked it again for our final night in the city. To our sheer joy, we were upgraded to a family room—a spacious sanctuary that made us wish we had booked it every day of our stay. The room was a cornucopia of comfort, boasting ample space, heavenly beds, and a top-notch air conditioning system ensuring a cool retreat from the city’s hustle and bustle. The reception was a redux of our initial warm welcome, greeting us with tea, making our return feel like a homecoming. Their attentiveness added a golden touch to our already stellar experience.

To be honest, didn't stay at this hotel. This hotel is behind the White Horse Temple and there should be two stores. At the front desk of the hotel, my sister could n’t speak Chinese and communicated in English. Then she told us that the hotel circuit was broken. We changed to another shop, called TU linh palace hostel. Our room was small. But my uncle who came to meet us spoke Chinese and experienced the difficult communication in English. I felt kind to this uncle instantly. At that time, we did not exchange enough Vietnamese dongs. We exchanged 3,000 renminbi dongs with our uncle. Then I asked my uncle to buy a 22-dollar ticket to Da Nang for us. This is more pit, but as the first stop abroad, Hanoi can still accept it! !! In the end, Hanoi, as the capital of Vietnam, has more Westerners, less hotels in Chinese, and higher consumption. The hotel is like that, anyway, I didn't live in this hotel.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights before my trip to Sapa and for another night on my return. On both occasions I was allocated the exact deluxe double room on the same floor. Hotel: This small and clean hotel is located in the heart of Hanoi Old Quarter within a 2-3 minute walk to popular Ta Hien street (beer street). As I arrived I was greeted warmly by the very friendly door boy and receptionist and was offered a plate of fresh fruits and juice while they were taking care of the registration. All staff were very friendly throughout my stay, housekeeping was always on point and the general areas of the hotel spotless. I did not use the hotel wi-fi because I purchased a tourist sim card at the airport. And neither was I able to try out their complimentary breakfast. So I unable to comment on these services. Location: The airport express bus 86 as well as the big sleeper bus from Sapa stopped within a 5 minute walk to the hotel which is very convenient. The hotel is located on the eastern edge of Old Quarter so if you are arriving from the airport, inform the 'express bus 86' conductor that you would like to get off at the '142 Duong Tran Quang Khai' stop. Bathroom: I am very particular about bathrooms when booking hotels, and more often than not, I would rather have a nicer bathroom over a nicer bedroom. In this instance however I have nothing to complain about since the bathroom was equally as good as the bedroom. It was very clean, of a decent size, with a modern toilet, spacious vanity, and a large walk in shower with a rain shower head. No issues with water pressure and hot water. The shower cubicle had a see through window into the bedroom which can be closed by blinds (by the person t
