|0.46km from downtownVery central apartment! Unpretentious but with everything absolutely necessary. To highlight the cleanliness and that our beds were made daily. The heating worked very well and in no time you had the space warm. Quiet and fairly quiet building. The beds were quite comfortable and the pillows too. I'm only going to give two negative points. The first, even if the heating worked perfectly, we don't like to turn it on at night and we miss an extra blanket in the closet. Secondly, the pillows had no protector. The normal thing, and more so in a hotel/apartment, is to put a protective cover between the pillow itself and the outer cover. I did miss that since I find this lack of protection unpleasant. Leaving this aside to say that I would return with my eyes closed!

|0.81km from downtownAlthough the room is small, but the bathroom is large, it is relatively clean, the boutique hotel address is good, in the city center, not far from the palace, the hotel service is more user-friendly, although the room is not included in the breakfast, but there will be a small bread every morning. And a bottle of water on the door, very intimate

|1.82km from downtownCan be an extra bed, we are 8 years old and there is no extra bed fee. But this time the hygiene is not good. On the day of the check-in, the bathtub in the room was all sand and stone. It was not cleaned. Waiting for the waiter to open the night bed, I asked for cleaning. In the evening, I went to the small garden to rest, and I ordered a glass of champagne. The waiter actually used a glass of water-filled glass (estimated to be washed and not dried) and poured champagne directly to me, hehe! The next day, the children will sleep more than 7 o'clock in the afternoon. As a result, the children's bed and the quilt are inexplicably wet. Later I went to the front desk and asked them to make better bedding. Very hurt. In such a good location, the rest of the hotel is very good, it is a sanitary situation, it is unacceptable.

|2.01km from downtownWe stayed at the H10 Hotel Puerta de Alcalá at the end of May and middle of June. The hotel was very comfortable and well located. We particularly enjoyed the rooftop deck with great views of Madrid and Retiro Park. The rooms were very comfortable, quiet, and clean. On a day trip I mistakenly left my camera bag in a taxi. On my return to the hotel later that day, Juan C. at reception helped me begin communications with the taxi company to try to locate the camera bag. For the next few weeks after I had returned home to Canada, Juan diligently followed up and coordinated with the taxi company, organized payment for retrieval of the camera bag then prepared it for shipment to my home in Canada. He went above and beyond the usual service expected at a hotel and I wanted to point out his excellent assistance. Robert S.

|1.11km from downtownThis hotel is really a bargain for how nice it is. I found the service to be impeccable, breakfast buffet was incredible and the location is right in front of a metro station. A bonus is the contemporary art collection which reminds you that you are in Madrid and not just any nameless, nice hotel. I love the schluter brass detailing in the bathroom and bedroom walls. These design touches add such gravitas to a stay, even when short. Bravo, I would stay here again.

|4.39km from downtownI gave this a four-star review based on the fact that it is a BUDGET hotel. We stayed here for three-nights at the beginning of our trip to Spain in September. As a couple, with several large suitcases, it was okay for a few nights, we were not able to unpack much so getting ready each day was a challenge. The hotel is quiet and the beds are comfortable. It's odd that the shower is in the middle of the room (as opposed to being within an enclosed bathroom) so each time we showered the room stayed very humid for a good amount of time. Thankfully, the windows do open and you can control the temperature of your room so this wasn't much of an issue. We sleep with eye masks on, so this wasn't an issue, but right above the bed in our room there was a smoke or CO2 detector that flashed a green light all day and all night. If we didn't have our masks, this would have driven us crazy at night. This hotel isn't in the tourist hot spots, but it's near a main road with stores and restaurants. It's a two-minute walk from a metro station and the Madrid subway is affordable and easy to navigate. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful.

|0.51km from downtownMarvelously decorated comfortable 2 bedroom apartment; 1 WC with amazing water pressure; lots of towels; kitchen fully equipped for making your own meals (no microwave) with large fridge with freezer, dishwasher (it has a convenience package with one dishwasher tablet, one lilliput capsule dish detergent for hand washing, a cloth, a small dish mop), electric stove top and oven, Nespresso coffee machine (with 4 capsules), tea cattle and tea; Very good WiFi; 2 big LED TV (bedroom and living room, with 2 remotes), Netflix ready (if you have a personal account); A/C with apartment control panel; 2 small balconies. Rooftop bar with heated swimming pool. Restaurant with nice breakfast available (we had our breakfast previously booked and are very glad we did so). We arrived early and had our luggage safe stored by the front desk personnel; same for when we had our check-out (late flight). Super nice, friendly, helpful professional personnel. Superb location, if you are a moderate walker you can walk to just about everywhere. Lots and lots of restaurants (all prices range) within 200m radius (some 24h open). Bus in front of the Hotel door; Metro (Subway) about 100 meters top. Excellent stay.

|0.29km from downtownPart of a hostel. Bedroom is small with worn out built in robes. There’s ironing board with no iron. Living area is spacious. TV only has Spanish programs. Kitchen has fridge, electric cooktop, washing machine, dishwasher, pots & fry pan, plates/bowls, kitchen utensils. No dishwashing powder for dishwasher, nor washing machine. One problem is there’s no power point in kitchen area for benchtop electrical appliances. For some reason the electrician didn’t connect any power points next to benchtop. We had to use the kettle, toaster & coffee machine at the power point next to the floor. Even the staff couldn’t explain why. Maybe only in suite 306. Staff has to defrost the fridge as it’s slowly building up ice. 3rd night was a bit noisy from nearby till early hours of the morning not sure from nearby neighbourhood or from hostel. No tea/coffee/milk provided. Stayed 3 nights with no housekeeping done. Good location facing road leading to Plaza Mayor. It’s a very busy street. Not very clean with lots of rubbish & homeless people sleeping around the place. Other streets much cleaner & some with beautiful buildings.

|1.32km from downtownWe stayed for a week and really enjoyed it. Exceptionally clean, really friendly and attentive staff, good atmosphere in the downstairs bar area and on the roof bar, good breakfast and very comfy, well equipped room. Wasn’t too sure initially about the area but we soon felt very comfortable and found some great bars and restaurants locally off the tourist trail. Great location for walking to the centre, La Latina, El Rastro, the park (El Retiro), the art galleries and metro/train connections. Loved Madrid.

The hotel has breakfast, but I didn't eat it inside, but I ate it in a small restaurant next to the hotel. There was an extra bed in the hotel, at least the room was large. There is an elevator and it should be suitable for bringing family members to play. The front desk staff is very good at serving. I feel that this hotel does not have a parking lot.

|0.39km from downtownThe Location was excellent but to find the hostel itself was horrible. There was totally no sign to indicate that the hostel is within an office building without any sign of the hostel name and we had walked around the whole plaza and still couldnt find the address no 1. The hostel cannot be contacted with the phone given and thankfully after finding the info counter that we find the place. However, even within the building there is nothing to indicate which level is the hostel as the building info desk was not manned at that time. There were a couple of pickpocket who followed us entered the building pretending to help us and led us going to different floors to confuse us and managed to get away with my passport cover stolen thinking that it must be my wallet. It was a very tiring and frightful experience just locating this hostel due to lack of hostel signboard and communication from the owner despite writing to them for direction.

|7.76km from downtownStayed here as a city break treat and got back yesterday. We are a British couple. Amazing hotel. 7th floor. Very clean. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Great amenities. About 8 minute walk from metro Herrera Oria- it is a bit of an incline up a couple of hilly streets but it was doable with the heavy luggage. There is a mercadona (supermarket) about 100 yards left of the hotel. Very well stocked. We bought some oat milk and put it in the small fridge in the room. We had room service- lovely club sandwich and Caesar salad. One of the lovely hotel staff then told us about a bus route- game changer! Route 133 takes you direct from outside the hotel (and stops outside the hotel on the return journey) and goes to Callao which is only a 5-10 minute walk to the main square- Plaza Mayor and the San Miguel market. We used the bus daily- sometimes more than once! Air conditioned, always a space as we got on the bus at the start or near the start of the route each time. Return journey from Callao- the 133 goes in the direction of Mirasierra. Get off at the tapas bar at the top of the road near the hotel (I think it was called Jaimi or something similar - worth stopping off for a beer and some tapas!) or get off the stop adjacent to the hotel. Bus is €1.50 per journey. Very clean. You can use your normal contactless card. There are also usb points for your mobile phone near some of the seats. It’s about 40 minutes on the bus. Both bus 24 (direction of Lacoma) and 133 (direction of Callao) is about 3 stops to the Herrera oria metro station. We took the 24 bus from the hotel with our luggage to the metro before heading back to the airport. We loved this hotel and would definitely return! The photos I do have don’t do the place justice. Felt like a lovely safe residential neighbourhood. Very quiet too.

|1.28km from downtownMy apartment had three large windows overlooking Calle de Atocha and Paseo del Prado -- what a view! The constant flow of cars, busses and people was mesmerizing, while the sound was quieted by the excellent window glass. The location couldn't be better, with a metro stop outside the door, bus stops nearby, and the Atocha station an easy walk away. The staff was quickly responsive to the one problem I had, and the daily clean was a nice feature. Couldn't recommend more!

|14.18km from downtownOh goodness where to start.... After a couple of weeks of traveling we were ending our trip with a night at the AC Hotel near the airport for ease of travel the next morning. We arrived and met Carmen, she is AMAZING! Bottom line when my friend made the reservation she made it for October 30th, not October 29th, and the hotel was full. After some mad typing and serious looking on the computer Carmen found us the very last room in the hotel. The room was absolutely gorgeous, well appointed, and really comfortable, very sad we were only able to enjoy it for one evening. DON'T USE THE AIRPORT SHUTTLE!!!! So, the next morning, we used the airport shuttle service, OMG! The shuttle driver the next morning if it was on a rating system the star would have to start with a negative. She was unkind, unhelpful, and REALLY RUDE! Be aware when you are using this service you better do your research and know the specific terminal you are flying out of, not the airline, as she will rain hell down on your head. Thank goodness the staff in the hotel was so wonderful, professional, and terrific, couldn't be more pleased and would highly recommend this property.

|14.1km from downtownI have stayed at this hotel a number of times this year when flying to / from Madrid airport. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Check in is always a breeze. I think a chap called Ruben dealt with my check in on my most recent visit. He is a credit to the hotel. The airport shuttle bus is easy and quick. Nothing is ever a problem at this hotel. I look forward to returning at the end of September for another stay following my trip to The States.

|1.36km from downtownI wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy. Sweet rooms, bad smell everywhere to the point of giving you arcades, bathroom shared with 7 rooms with mugre (we dare not use it) the door of the room was not closed well... the bed had chinches and the sofas I think they were not clean, summarized a lot of dirt. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, and the hotel is located in the heart of the city. A total tim because we pay for a hostel and gives us is ”pension” for calling it in any way. I would not come back or recommend anyone who would think to spend a night there. To finish we should have a private bathroom and we meet with a griff in The room with good understanding is over the words.

A double-room, despite the persistent smell of freshly posed painting ... A this add the total absence of noise insonorization of the building that decouples the very noisy character of this establishment*****t : Telephone, access to conversations including telephones from your room neighbors, doors that clack, voice screams and ************** ... live guaranteed! For the telereality amateurs this can therefore do the case... The only positive points are: - The innocent cleanliness of this establishment*****t. The hotel staff was friendly, room was super clean, and the breakfast buffet was absolutely outstanding (continental and Spanish foods available). The bathroom was quite spacious, very good water pressure, A/C worked without issue, and our room had the best blackout curtains I’ve ever seen. Overall, these comforts made for a great stay.
