My sister and I arrived here early morning having booked a few nights stay. We arrived around 8am, obviously too early for check in, so we simply told them staff who we were and showed them our booking, had some breakfast there and left our luggage with them whilst we went out for the day. We came back a few hours later to get some belongings and the staff told us our room would be ready in a few hours, which was fine with us as we were going back out. We eventually returned around 6.30pm ready to be shown to our room, when a staff member asked if we had a reservation (the same staff members had been there all day). We said that we did which has already been confirmed multiple times and asked if there was a problem, to which we were told that everything was fine and we would be taken to our room, which we then were. We unpacked and then my sister left for a sunset hike, whilst I decided to sleep after a long day. I was then woken by repeated knocking on the sliding doors. I got out of bed to find two staff members on our balcony area, telling me that we needed to vacate the room as it was booked by a couple. I honestly though they were joking at first as we had arrived so early that morning and had numerous conversations with them throughout the day about our room etc. They said that our booking showed as “cancelled” on their system and as such, another booking had been made so we needed to leave, DESPITE us showing them our booking confirmation and ACTIVE booking when we arrived around 10 hours earlier. I had to phone my sister to come back and help me try to sort this which ruined her plans for the evening and caused us both a great amount of stress. The female manager then came out and began raising her voice at us, saying that we needed to get out of the room now because there was a couple waiting to get in it. She refused to listen to the fact that we had shown our booking to multiple staff members throughout the day and no one had said anything about our booking being cancelled, only saying that the staff were new and made mistakes. I asked why on earth we would have turned up at 8am and waited all day to get into our room if we thought our booking was cancelled? It was clearly a mess up on their end, which she was taking no accountability for. She got more irate as time went on and was shouting at both my sister and I which was very embarrassing for us, especially given that we had done nothing wrong. We had no choice but to leave the room but I made it clear at this point that I would be leaving a review about this. As we were leaving, I suggested that at the very least, she arrange us a taxi to take us to the new accommodation we had just had to book which was a 5 minute drive away. She told me that their driver was busy. I asked her to order us one using the ‘grab’ app which she didn’t want to do as she would have to pay for it, despite the journey being so short. Hotel is situated in an good location lots of activities close by, street vendors and restaurants. We stayed here for 6 nights Hotel and rooms absolutely clean and very well taken care of. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They offer a cooking class that we done and it was fun and we learned a few tricks. Breakfast is mainly Balinese but enough spread to not make it not boring for 6 mornings. Although not the hottest months in Bali the location of the pool is surrounded by the hotel rooms (in the middle) therefore not getting much sun and the water was not of the warmest. But thus part of our by stay (in Ubud) was meant to be sightseeing mostly and not relaxing next to the swimming pool, therefore not the biggest concern. IV been to Bali before and stayed more towards the outskirts of Ubud, lovely villas and secluded resorts but there is nothing to do in the evening therefore this hotel lend itself that you can explore night life and be a bit adventures 8 in the evening. Nice showers, WiFi is working good, and overall accommodation is excellent. The only negative for me was that due to me being a Gold VIP member to my booking site that does have an agreement with this hotel to provide a upgraded room when available they did not offer this, and, not all rooms was booked and I am pretty sure they did have a better room that they could honour their agreement with my booking site.

Friendly greetings at all times, we had the pool access room. The bed was one of the best we've slept in. The shower over the bath wasn't our cup of tea. The room was clean but the bed facing tv didn't work. Once off the main road it was quiet but the night club next door roared to life at midnight. . The breakfast was sensational and varied slightly each day. After hours meals and room service was very accommodating. The fridge was not the greatest in keeping thing chilled but adequate. The pool (the longest I've seen) with a hidden waterslide was lovely and views from the top pool and deck was special

The villa is not well prepared for my family staycation. We had broken tv, bathroom electricity black out at one of the room. Super slow internet even just to watch the Netflix. Not recommended for digital nomad out there. Living room quite dusty and got kinda moldy roof smell when we turn on the fan. Really need to improve the service quality especially for local guest.

1. The aircon was very loud and noisy . Informed staff and they sent a workman to fix it the next day . It made no difference. They offered to send someone in the following day but i felt it was becoming an invasion of privacy so declined 2. Mosquitoes in the room . I recommend nets over the bed as i was a feast for them overnight . The staff offered fly spray but i didnt want to inhale the toxic staff while there. I checked out a night early as i didnt feel this to be a relaxing experience. The hotel is reasonably priced though and the grounds and architecture pleasant otherwise

Breakfast wasn’t as good as expected, the milk & smoothies were left out, we tried a smoothie and it had go sour. Would book again it hasn’t put me off. The pool on the roof is definitely its best feature. And the restaurant choice on an evening on the beach is something completely different and special.

What an incredible stay at Holiday Inn Resort Nusa Dua! The service provided was impeccable, starting off with an upgrade to an ocean view room when our pool view room was undergoing maintenance upon our arrival, followed by complimentary fruit and chocolates as another apology, along with a chocolate cake and bed decorations for our anniversary. All staff members were so friendly, helpful and approachable throughout the whole week of our stay. Also nice to see that feedback forms are actually acknowledged and acted upon very promptly (unlike other places) as we made a simple suggestion for the breakfast to include avocado and hollandaise sauce and the next two days staff members offered us specially cooked eggs benedict with avocado. Cannot fault a single thing about our experience and without a doubt will be back to stay in the future! Special mention to duty manager Geksa who frequently checked in with us and went above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable!

Movenpick is a beautiful hotel and was our final stop on our two-week stay between Bali and Lombok. We were initially booked into the wrong room (twin, not double) but this was sorted immediately. Good selection at the breakfast buffet but I do think the hotel is missing a trick by not cooking fresh crepes for guests. All the little touches made the stay great. We were a bit let down that service was slow and it was a struggle to find two sun loungers, even when we were up early. For guests staying in the hotel after check out before getting picked up, the hotel provides a room to shower in. This can be booked at reception and is cleaned between uses. All in all, a lovely stay.
