Hot Springs Hotels in Saitama Prefecture, Japan

It's close to the station, so it's easy to find and I didn't get lost. I was there after an event at Saitama Super Arena, so it was great that it was close to the arena. However, the amenities included lotion and emulsion, so I bought them at a nearby convenience store. It was good that the convenience store was on the second floor, but it would have been better if they had lotion and other items. I'd like to use it again next time.

The hot spring was very beautiful, and the open-air bath was especially good for the skin to be twitchy. The night rice was delicious with Japanese food and was just a good amount. You can eat 1 cups of ramen for free from 21 o'clock. It was a buffet type in the morning and all were delicious. The room was renovated and beautiful. I would like to stay when I go to Chichibu again.

I stayed at this hotel for two weeks. Although the room was a bit small, every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. The front desk staff were very helpful and even used translation software to answer guests' questions. The hotel offers complimentary coffee and facial masks. It's very close to JR station, and there's a street full of restaurants right outside. The room is small but has everything you need. The facilities are a bit old, but the service was good, so overall the stay was acceptable.

If dinner is to be upgraded and the beef package (+4400/person) needs to be booked through Trip.com three days in advance. But you can't upgrade adults alone. Araki Kousen Ryokan was absolutely lovely and felt very welcoming for our family. This was our first stay at a ryokan in Japan, and while we were initially a little worried it might feel old or uncomfortable, it was actually very clean, cozy, and full of charm. The staff were incredibly kind and made us feel right at home, even helping us secure a dinner reservation at a local restaurant. The onsen was relaxing and the water temperature was just right. Breakfast was a highlight as well—delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and a wonderful way to start the day together. We truly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return with our family again.

The location is great, especially for accessing Shinsadong. Considering Shinsadong is generally a bit off the beaten path, this location is actually quite good. The welcome drink, however, was disappointing and its availability seemed inconsistent. As for the complimentary amenities offered at the entrance, I felt some staff members gave me judgmental looks, making me feel watched – as if I was taking too many. This was strange because I only took one per day, or sometimes none at all, yet I still had this odd feeling of being monitored. On a more positive note, housekeeping was incredibly quiet, which was perfect for relaxing even if I slept in late. I enjoyed the train view from my room (though I understand not all rooms have this). Overall, most of the staff were friendly. The bathtub was small, but the water quality was excellent.

Booked this hotel for overnite stay while on the way to Nikko. The are is quiet at night time. The room is just a standard Japan hotel room, though size is bigger compared to those in Tokyo downtown area. The hotel spa (or onsen) is actually few mins walk away (and need to go up to footbridge to cross the road). We drove to the spa mainly because there is a restaurant that we could have dinner. As we arrived late, we didn't try the onsen there. The spa looks good and staff there is very nice.
