Hot Springs Hotels in Iwate Prefecture, Japan

This was my second stay, and the autumn scenery is even more beautiful than in summer! The hotel's environment, service, and food are all excellent. We stayed two nights, and the dinners were different. The second night's dinner was so lavish, I couldn't finish it all even though I was stuffed. The breakfast buffet was also superb. The hotel staff are all very friendly and can help you call a taxi. The hotel has many hot springs, and the water quality is excellent. The only pity is that the semi-open-air hot spring now has glass windows installed, so you can't properly enjoy the autumn scenery outside, and it feels a bit stuffy. The mixed-gender bath has the most beautiful views, and from 8 PM to 9 PM, it's reserved for ladies. It would be perfect if they could also arrange an hour for ladies during the daytime, as the daytime scenery is even better, and ladies might feel more comfortable in a mixed-gender bath during those hours. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again if I get the chance.

The hotel is about half an hour ride from Ryusendo Cave (龍泉洞) and is close to the Sanriku Coast. Judging from photos, it’s probably better than other hotels nearby in terms of cleanliness and amenities. It doesn’t disappoint me. The public bath （大浴場） is good. The view over the coast is perfect.

I had visited Momijikan on a day trip to the onsen before and loved it. This time, my boyfriend and I booked a great value room (randomly assigned) and were given a tatami room. We got up early to see the sunrise over the snow-covered ground – the view was beautiful. We asked the front desk to book a shuttle bus for the next day the night before, so we could go directly to JR Hanamaki Station after check-out – very convenient. The breakfast selection was extensive and delicious – I highly recommend choosing a hotel with breakfast included when booking!

The experience was superb! The onsen was good and relaxing. I love that they provide yogurt drink and ice lolly. There is also complimentary soba noodles at 9:30pm. What is more important is that they have free laundry and that the status of the machines can be viewed on TV!

The quality of the open-air bath here is quite good, we like it very much 💕 Although the hotel building feels old-fashioned, it is well maintained. The room we stayed in should have been built later and is a bit far away from the large bathing area. We can just enjoy the exhibitions of the hotel and artists. Paintings and beautiful scenery along the way 👍

I stayed at Seiryu-kan for four days and three nights. From the first day I checked in to the last day I checked out, I received warm and thoughtful hospitality throughout. The three dinners were all different and very unique, with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors. The hotel, including the rooms and the onsen (hot spring), was extremely clean. They also offered red and white wine, coffee, soft drinks, and snacks in the lobby, making me feel very welcome. Therefore, I highly recommend this comfortable onsen ryokan, and I will definitely come back again if I have the chance.

The service staff is very kind and friendly. Although they don't understand English, they will try their best to use the translation machine. The overall facilities in the store are good, the rooms are well maintained, the hot spring hotel is very good, the room is also large, and the sleep is comfortable

I am a US traveler on business. I have visited Kashoen before and based on my experiences it is the only hotel I will ever stay at in Hanamaki. The hotel staff are the kindest, most caring, and passionate people I have met at a hotel. The amenities are fantastic, the hotel food is phenomenal, and my stay is always relaxing. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. There is a nice nature trail nearby with a river that is beautiful as well. If you are in Hanamaki or are looking for somewhere to enjoy a peaceful weekend at, I suggest Kashoen.

The hotel is loaded with tourist groups who are unfortunately pretty rowdy and rude. Service at the hotel itself was excellent, and for the price and location it’s a reasonable stay, as a ski-in-ski-out hotel. Breakfast is a standard Prince Hotel buffet.

The hotel room pillow bed quilt is more dilapidated, but quite hygienic, stayed six days, breakfast variety is not much every day these, dinner is not much variety, but the standard is more erratic, the canteen basically nothing to buy, they close the canteen after nine, you can only be in the 2nd floor hot spring Randomly buy mineral water or dairy drinks, if you like to drink please early nine o'clock in advance at the canteen there is a small amount of whiskey and sake, and a small amount of beer, because after nine o'clock you want to drink and eat is definitely not for you
