Slumber Party Chiang Mai

First I was a bit afraid because Slumber Hostel is a party hostel. And I am not a partyer. I care about my sleep. I guess I was lucky because I was in a 4-bed dorm with very quiet people who also went to sleep pretty early. And it seemed that there were no parry people at all while I was there, I haven't heard a single sound of music/loud speakers in the night. It was perfect. (But they do warn you when you check in that you have to expect noise since it's a party hostel! So I guess sometimes it gets really noisy). I really liked the hostel's design, it all looked very new and clean. That's a big plus! Although they (strangely) don't provide blankets (you can rent one for 75 baht!), they did give me a free towel. Also there isn't any free filtered water available, so they want you to purchase new bottles. Business. They have a menu, which is extremely expensive (149 for a pancake for example). But given the cheap room rate (just over a 100 baht) it was really OK and I don't regret staying here. The location is also great! It's close to everything. Sam at the reception was very friendly. Thank you!

This hotel is very clean ✨✨, the service is very good ❤️, the waiter is hospitable and polite ‍, the room is divided into male/female room, and family room ‍‍‍‍‍‍, there are utensils, free WIFI, and we have a Thai breakfast in the morning ️. The location of the hotel is very good at No. 5 Nieman Road, Chiang Mai City. Alley, convenient travel, suitable for a group of colleagues or friends to come out to play with live together, the service fee is not expensive, value for money .............!!!!!!!!!!

The environment is quiet and I like his big garden. Outside the old town, the breakfast was great! But the sound insulation effect is a bit poor.

The booking with Trip.com was easy and straight forward. We booked bunk beds in a private room for 2 person but was told the room wss occupied and not available. We were offered a 12 bunker bed mixed dormitory instead. The hostel is located outside the old Chiang Mai town, about 15mins walk to Chiang Mai University. It is a nice quiet hostel but because it is getting warm thus it is unavoidable to have mosquitoes. The place is clean with a nice dining space with a microwave, fridge, hot water and washing basin. The hostel provides coffee and tea. They also have white bread jam and butter in the morning for us. The only set back was that there's a moldy smell for our bunker room. We believed that the place had not been used for awhile and the place had been surrounded with trees. There's an laundromat nearby.

5 stars hostel with 1 star price! The hostel location is perfect, there are few convenient stores within 1 min walk (7-11, Lotus). The opened air satieties that consist of few famous stalls (Suki Koka, Chang Phuek Pork Leg Rice) also within 1 min walking distance. The room is specious, clean, bed is comfortable! There is no complaint on the facilities and room, nearly perfect! Additionally, the hostel staff are very helpful and friendly. Nine helped me with check in and assisted me to rent a motorbike. She is kind and lovely, kudos to her! Without any doubt, I will definitely come back whenever I visit Chiang Mai.

Located in the alley Walk about 100 meters from the main road. It's a bit difficult for cars to enter. There is no place to make a U-turn. The walk-in price is 200 baht, cheaper than booking through various websites. Walk to Tha Phae Gate. and Warorot Market. Sleeps in a female room with 4 beds. The bed has no curtains. There is a light and a plug at the head of the bed. The bed base is like a spring bed. When you move, the bed will creak. The blanket was too thin and too short, 168 tall, barely covering the toes. There is an air conditioner that you can turn on as you please without any time limit. The room space is wide and not cramped. There is space to place things. Spotless, the bathroom is in the room. No need to use it outside the bedroom. The bathroom is wide but does not separate wet and dry sections. Soap and shampoo are provided. For towels, you must ask the staff yourself. All employees provided very good service.

The room is fragrant, the only drawback is that the sliding door of the room is very loud. If the guest comes back in the middle of the night, the door will be awakened.

For me it was the best hostel I've stayed in in Chiang Mai. It was the perfect balance between being in a place where I can rest, have some quiet time when needed but still be very close to the main attractions, social bars and party hostels. I did try other nice hostels, but was quickly drained with all the ”pressure to party” and be part of group activities all the time. Very clean and comfortable, different commun area to chill, socialize, work or read in. They provide coffee and water. The owners and staff are the nicest people, thank you for having me (twice! :) )

I had requested an airport pickup but this never happened - I had to take a taxi from the airport. The hotel is nice and centrally located. The owner/manager is very nice but can come across as a bit overbearing. The room was adequate although the bathroom/shower is very small and uncomfortable. It was very difficult to take a shower and there was water everywhere. The hotel is right next to other food places so there might be a lot of noise if you are a light sleeper. I had a nice time and will recommend this hotel :-)
