Idyllic Concept Resort
4.5/5159 Reviews
Looks quite new compared to other hotels, a/c works all the time even when you go out and take a card key which is very nice. And it cools down the room incredibly, a must in April and May. We liked the room but there’s an area for improvement: you can see some impurities here and there: old bedsheets with stains, the tub in the bathroom with some part falling off. They are not big, but better to fix them. The breakfast is amazing, a lot of options, even the noodles station, the roti station, ice cream and bloodie mary station hahaha A lot of good fruits such as rambutan, passion fruits, etc. not just watermelon and dragon fruits like at other hotels across Thailand. Sunrise beach itself is a bit disappointing because of the amount of boats there and almost no place to swim but this hotel has the designated beach where you can enjoy swimming and definitely some good sunsets. Overall it’s a good place to stay for more than a day if you want to stay at the sunrise Beach area, but my personal favorite is the North pole beach (20-25 min walk along the beach). Things to improve: - service staff should be careful with bags, I know they try to be helpful but one of the guys broke a handle of my carry on bag. - Starbacks cafe on the beach — this is a disaster, they advertise other as a Starbucks coffee shop, with the original drinks and recipes but for 180 thb they will give you iced milk instead of iced cappuccino. Better to buy some good medium roast beans from the Borth of Thailand and serve proper coffee. You don’t need that Starbucks brand definitely.
The Breeze Lipe Resort

Koh Lipe is highly dense with resort and hotels. Walking along the sunrise beach (from Serendipty to Mountain resort), I could see not even a meter of the beachfront is left vacant. Though staying in Ko Lipe is expensive than average Thailand standards, I am sure places of all sort of budgets are here for beachfront stay. However several were way above my budget, couple of these had worse reviews and most are too far from Walking Street. I tried to optimize on cost, reviews and proximity to walking street to end up booking Breeze Resort. It is not a beachfront hotel and do not have sea view. From Pattaya beach a 2 minutes walk on the paved way next to Akira Lipe resort took us to Breeze. With a lush garden and well maintained grasstop, it is a two storied property with balconies opening to the garden. We had booked ground floor garden facing rooms. The room was decently sized, bathroom was neat, linens were clean and balcony had two easy chairs. The room could be better illuminated in the evening and bathroom could be a bit more spacious. It was well functional with a small freeze, a locker, a beach towel provided and and 2 umbrellas in place. The resort has kitchen and dining area functional only during breakfast. So we could not have other meals here and for that we had no issues to walk down a few minutes to Walking Street. The breakfast (came with the booking) had 5 set menu options - 3 kinds of english breakfast and 2 kinds of oriental breakfast. I can't say that the set menu had wide choices or super tasty. However, the oriental breakfast menu with pad thai was better than english breakfast. The vegetarian set menu was rather silly. To use the locker/safe, they took 500 THB as deposit. Language was a big issue and we had to use translation apps to convey our words quite regularly. But the ever smiling faces and helping attitude was not lost on us. When we arrived they picked us up with a motorized vehicle from the drop off point at Pattaya beach. After checkout also, they saw us off with 2 motorized vehicles at Langkawi Immigration point next to Bundhaya Resort. Overall a nice 4 days with happy memories.
Lake Terrace Resort

Overall was nice. Came in late so just a place to sleep. The beach is not for swimming as mostly big boulders. But the pool is super warm and super nice with lots of outside seating in the shade or in the sun. The room was huge and comfortable but the curtains didn't block the light enough for me as I'm use to blackout curtains and some noise from the street and hallways. The breakfast was gigantic buffet and very good. Even for western taste. Lots of fruit options and cereals, eggs, toast. Plus local food. Parking was good.
Grand Andaman Resort

The room was super clean and very romantic. Every morning you see the sunrise directly from the room. I stayed 7 next. The resort is located directly at Mu Ko Phetra National Park, The Time Travel Zone. I jogged in the park every morning. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. I arrived without car, but the son of the owner and the indigenous people have driven me every day. You can book different tour directly from the resort. I made ” one day trip” and yet 2 private boat trips. You were really mega beautiful. We'll see you soon ...Satun. Jai
V Valley Resort

The rooms are separated into houses in the resort area. The interior is clean, the bathrooms are good, and there are many check-in photo spots. Free-range rabbits around the hotel You can take pictures with the rabbits at any time. During the stay, the weather is hot, so the air conditioner cools very slowly. Parking is convenient, but you have to open and close the fence yourself because you're wary of rabbits coming out. Overall, I recommend V-Volley.
Seesea Resort

Terrible reception staff. We made a reservation for a double room (confirmed) and upon arrival it had two single beds and no possibility of changing rooms. Also, the room smelled especially bad (like sweat). The terrace door does not close properly and mosquitoes enter. Right in front we had construction work because they are expanding the hotel. At night in the building under construction a group of Asians had karaoke, you could hear everything perfectly from the room. Considering that people come here to rest, the last thing they want to encounter is construction noise and disturbances until late hours. Terrible breakfast and for a change, in the building under construction. They have a coffee stand at the entrance since the buffet only has sachet coffee. If you want a proper coffee, you have to pay for it. There is hardly any fruit and bread, only pad Thai type food, curry, rice... I understand that we are in Thailand but it wouldn't hurt to have variety and not close to that type of food. Absolutely no sweet products, not even a sad croissant. Not to mention that the table where the juices were was full of ants. To make matters worse, while we are having breakfast, two men offer us to buy cashews and t-shirts. I do not recommend this hotel at all because of the staff (except for a couple of workers who were super nice), facilities and atmosphere and breakfast. Even if you spend the day in Pak Bara to go to Koh Lipe like us, you will most likely have a better option to stay.
Royal Hill Satun Hotel

I was impressed with the hotel the rooms are very big with a nice balcony the staff were really helpful. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast which isn’t normally to my taste in first thing in the morning but there’s a lot of things to choose from most freshly prepared. I also had a nice evening meal at the hotel which they cooked fresh for me I would definitely recommend. Nearby massage place was excellent as well and good value for being attached to hotel.
Sinkiat Thani Hotel

Overall would say that the hotel is OK. The staffs are also OK. Only one lady staff that speaks English. It's not a problem can still use phone translator. Room is big and spacious, with a very nice view facing the hills. Everything is OK with the room except for the shower. They should do something about the shower. Hairdryer is very good. Breakfast can be obtain from a shop opposite the hotel (come out turn left and cross the street) just a few shops away from the hotel, selling very good Chicken Murtabak and also Egg with Banana Roti Canai. Location of hotel is perfect. There is ample car park behind the hotel. There is an entrance to the hotel from the car park. There is also a mini mart right next to the hotel on the right. Overall would recommend this hotel.
Dong Talay Lipe Beach Resort

The rooms are comfortable, air-conditioned, there is a swimming pool on the beach, very beautiful view, accommodation is right on the beach. Convenient walking distance to the walking street, near the pier, there are restaurants and bars nearby. Good service staff There is a pick-up and drop-off from the pier. You don't have to carry your own luggage. Good variety of breakfast.
Baan Suan Punpaka Resort

For budget hotel, this hotel considered worth the money. The room is quite old, toilet is quite smelly. But consider okay for a budget hotel. The location is far from shops, need to drive if you want to find food.
