I had an amazing stay at The Knot, Hiroshima! The hotel is stylish and perfectly located, making it so easy to explore the city. The bar was fantastic, and breakfast was absolutely incredible – there were so many options to choose from. I loved the small touches in the room, like the chic dressing gown, which made the stay feel extra special. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. A standout for me were The Knot Coins – complimentary tokens for snacks and drinks – I used mine for a Basque cheesecake, which was absolutely delicious. I can’t recommend this hotel enough!
Located in Hiroshima's bustling commercial district, this hotel is right next to the bus center and Kamiya-cho Sogo department store, making it super convenient for shopping and getting around. The rooms are spacious, bright, clean, and tidy, with pleasant views from the window. Highly recommended!
This is the second closest hotel to the station, with Daiwa being the first. The downside of being so close is the noise from passing trains. The overall soundproofing of the hotel isn't great either; I could clearly hear the cleaning staff talking in the hallway during my afternoon nap. Also, for some reason, there were sudden, loud cracking noises in the room. At first, I thought it might be the wooden furniture expanding and contracting due to temperature changes, making a loud 'CRACK!', but then I wondered how that could be when the AC was on constantly. These noises were quite disturbing in the middle of the night. The fridge was also noisy, and so was the AC. In short, there was a mix of various noises, yet somehow they seemed to cancel each other out – quite a bizarre experience. The facilities are a bit old, but the room itself is spacious. It was clean, and the service was very good.
We stayed one night, checking in around 8 p.m. The front desk associate was helpful, and we were pleasantly surprised by complimentary lounge access for drinks. The room was a bit dated but comfortable. Since we were only staying overnight before our flight, this wasn’t an issue. The lighting was on the dim side; the hotel can provide additional lighting upon request, though we didn’t ask. Breakfast ends at 9:30 a.m., and it’s best to arrive by about 8:45 a.m.—when we got there at 9:00, items were no longer being refilled. Overall, it was a good stay.
Location is excellent, with quick access to the Shinkansen on the second floor, and bus terminal on the first.
Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly during check-in, and they even brought my luggage up after I dropped it off to explore the city.
Room was clean and spacious, even with my luggage open. No complaints at all.
Breakfast had a nice and varied spread, but some dishes were slightly cold.
Would love to stay here again.
We arrived at the hotel at 6:00 PM that evening. The hotel's exterior was stunning from the first glance. The cozy lobby, with its warm yellow lighting and powerful heating, was truly welcoming. The female staff was incredibly friendly and explained everything in detail in fluent English. They even gave me a brief tour of the hotel.
The hotel has a free water dispenser with large bottles for self-use. Toothbrushes, combs, and other toiletries are available at the self-service area for self-service.
The green light in the hotel elevator was a bit odd 🤣. The hotel is designed like an apartment, with four rooms on one floor, and an open-plan layout. Anyone who's watched the Japanese anime ”We Are the One” will understand.
The hotel rooms are spacious. The double room was perfectly spacious for a 29-inch suitcase. Perhaps due to the airy, spacious interior, even with the heater on in the winter, it still felt a bit chilly at night. The room was clean, with an industrial-style design, wooden tables, and comfortable lighting. The bed was large and perfectly firm. There was a tablet with information about the hotel and nearby attractions.
This hotel is affiliated with the Fukuyama Oriental Hotel, so you can use the hotel's large public bath. While it's less than a minute's walk, it was quite cold and irritating to walk out in winter wearing only a yukata. The bathhouse is clean and comfortable, but small, with only four bathing spots. It was quite crowded that evening at 8:00 PM, so there was a slight queue.
The hotel is also close to the famous Onomichi Ramen, a 6-7 minute walk away near Fukuyama Station. The line was about 10 minutes, but the food was delicious and I felt warm and satisfied afterward!
The hotel's breakfast was delicious, with several options for food and drinks. I chose a hot dog and hot coffee, which was delicious. It was a shame I had to rush to a schedule, otherwise I could have stayed longer at the hotel and enjoyed it.
A great experience! I will definitely be back! Next time I'll definitely have a drink at the hotel bar 🍺
Hotel was clean and conveniently located near a family mart. Service was great! We managed to check in and send our luggages with the assistance of the staff smoothly. The hotel gym is 24hrs as well - it is an Anytime fitness gym - fully equipped gym. Very pleased with the equipment inside. You can gain access by going to the front desk for some key card, or you can just use your own AF keyfob.
Room however, was very small for 2 packs even with small-mid sized luggages.
Total rip off - i travelled with a friend - Unfortunately I Got a nerve trappes in my right sholder and could not move. I booked a single Room for 1 night but reconsidered, modified my booking to 2 night, but Unfortunately the app changed the dates, så i ender up paying for 3 night. When I checked in I had the conversation with the reception staff who Said it would be ‘all right’ i then asked for a refund via the trip.com app which I had used for the reservation. But a refund was declining. My friend had booked a double Room for the last night-but if have been given the option I would be happy to stay in my single Room.
Budget friendly hostel in a good location. It is walking distance to Hiroshima station so it's very convenient. Only one thing my dormitory just next to the kitchen and it was noisy from the kitchen... People talk so lound and my last day early morning there are hangover backpackers in the room. A bit feels unsafe so stay alert
The front desk staff were very friendly, but the room's soundproofing wasn't great; I could hear noise from the hallway at night. The mattress was a bit too soft for my liking, which made it hard to get comfortable. It's a decent option for budget travelers looking for a short stay.

Nice hotel. Rooms and toilet are very clean and well-maintained. Highly recommended. Free shuttle to JR station was helpful.
Both the shared spaces and the guest rooms are very nice spaces with views of the ocean. You can also see Navy Road from the room. I chose a plan that included dinner and breakfast, and I could feel the love for Etajima as they are particular about using locally produced ingredients and use plenty of them. Overall, it was a great experience and a special day. It's a hotel I would like to come back to.
We had a wonderful time enjoying the onsen bath, recliner lounge, ocean terrace and beautiful view from our room (Note: trip.com booking of lowest priced room with sea view is not correct as the room is located at the lowest level and you only see trees before the ocean. We need to pay extra to upgrade the room to a better view). There's a private onsen bath tub in the room too. They also provide free coffee, popsicle sticks and yukata at the lobby. Dinner and breakfast has a reasonable spread but most food (especially the fried ones) are pre-cooked and cold. So they don't taste as good. The location is high up the hills. It's not possible to get a bus and then climb up with heavy luggages. The best way is to take a taxi, so be prepared to pay the price.
