An old villa with a huge garden and a pasture outside. Herds of sheep are grazing quietly on the green grass. It feels like a paradise. The local driver said it is picturesque, and it is indeed so.

The room is very standard, the bed is slightly smaller than in China but it is enough for two people. The breakfast is very standard, cost-effective, the price is very good, and parking is convenient. There is also Starbucks.

arrived around 3pm and checked in at the bar as instructed I received a warm welcome and even had my case carried up the stairs (no lift). I was given room 3, a single which was more than adequate with large single bed (very comfy) separate bath tub and wc plus t & coffee- I was pleasantly surprised. The wall mounted tv worked efficiently, there was sufficient storage and hanging space for my two night needs & the t and milks were topped up as requested. brekky was adequate and I enjoyed my stay. The ten am check out was a bit of a problem on the second morning as my train wasn’t until noon (less than 5 minutes walk to the station). the bus to Stratford, Warwick and Coventry goes from round the corner and the town is 7 - 10 minutes walk across the river bridge and past the pump room. plenty of dining options. good value for money but more a boarding house than hotel. I would return

Very glad I booked in this hotel. I needed a place for a night while coming to see the RSC, and the location couldn’t be better, just across the park.
The room was so pretty and had everything you needed, bathtub, soap, iron, a kettle to make coffee/tea, and hair dryer. It doesn’t have AC, but my assistant dog and I were fine with just the fan. (I wonder in the winter?) But it did have towel warm rack- fantastic to dry off the towels and small washed clothes.
The check in and out super easy and they’re keeping our luggage until we leave tonight, so I’m super grateful about that.
The only thing I’d add to the room is better lighting for the bathroom’s mirror, since I could really see what I was doing 🤣
And maybe a better system to order in the pub, since it was a bit slow…
But the food was Ok for a quick bite.
Everyone was nice and I’d definitely would come back 🙌🏾

This hotel is in a beautiful setting, convenient for Rugby and the M1/M6. The grounds and building are beautiful, although there are signs of neglect. We stayed in a suite in the Stables, it was tired, which I knew from the photos online but our bathroom had hair in the bath and clogged in the plughole. The shower didn't run hot and the toilet flush was poor. Breakfast was mediocre at best, lots of hot food had run out with no-one keeping an eye, we had to ask for items to be brought out. The staff were 50/50 - some very pleasant but some disinterested, one of the receptionists didn't even give us directions to our room properly suite. If some money was spent on improving the rooms and building I would have been happy to pay more, it is a real shame is the potential is immense!

DawnieIn the countryside in Stratford in a beautiful timber beamed building. The room was dark but spacious. We had the family room with a double and two single. Breakfast was included. No menus but the waiter said any English breakfast combination which was great. I had two poached eggs. The only problem was a lack of communication regarding the usual route to find the hotel being closed due to road works. Navigating a one way system in an unfamiliar town with no email or call to let us know how we were to get to the hotel was extremely stressful and put us 1.5 hours behind the schedule to arrive. This could have been sorted if the hotel had contacted trip.com with the landline provided at booking and explained about road works so I could have been forwarned.

Great location as central.
Hotel is nice, modernised and clean.
However, wary of infection control and allergy concerns, unsure how the hotel manages this. Noted to have many guests with dogs and were allowed to have them in the common room and dining hall. Are there only specific rooms that are only dedicated to these specific guests?
Breakfast was mayhem. Plenty of guests to have their meal but no table area to sit. To add guests with their dogs which is not to our liking. Should there have been a booked/schedule mealtime if they anticipate large volume of bookings.
Overall, experience could have been perfect. Staffs are polite and helpful. The hotel is nice except for above mentioned.

The room itself was generally fine, and the heating worked perfectly. However, we experienced a significant issue with the bathroom: the water would not drain properly, leaving the floor flooded. We had to use a wiper to push the water toward the sink and drain (images attached), which was very inconvenient.
Another surprising and disappointing detail was that no towels or soap were provided. These are basic essentials in any hotel, and since we did not bring our own, we were charged extra for them. This felt completely unreasonable.
Finally, the location is far from ideal. The hotel is quite a distance from the town centre, and public transport is infrequent, making it difficult to get around. Would not recommend!!!

Guest UserWe did not eat, so cannot comment on it. The hotel was quite unusual, yet with charm in a ramshackle, real sense. It reminded me of backpacking in Asia, but staying in a nicer kind of place while doing so. The explanation for why soap disappeared from the hotel made no real sense, but as we can use the liquids it was okay... it seems an odd penny-pinching move to deny guests a simple small round disc of... 'Guest soap' during their stay. They do exist, I stay in hotels often. It's jarring not to give people soap, and overall I suggest that it is a negative cost saving given the potential loss of repeat business that such incongruences, as they build, can result in. A special thanks to the kind night receptionist.

Guest UserSpacious relaxing hotel set by the riverside, lovely walks through the nature reserve from the hotel and a fantastic location for sightseeing in the town centre. The pool and spa were also an added bonus and it was very relaxing sitting out under the fairy lights with the river views.
