When I booked, Trip.com showed Hilton as the closest, but I found out at the airport that Clarion was actually the closest, right within the airport itself. For Hilton, I would have had to push my luggage hundreds of meters outdoors in -10 degree weather, which was really inconvenient, and their front desk was tiny. Plus, it was more expensive than Clarion. However, when I searched for Clarion, Trip.com showed the one further away, which required a bus ride – I almost fell for it! I only found out from other reviews that there are actually two Clarion hotels.
Eurohostel has a very convenient location, making it easy to get around the city. I have traveled all over Europe, and this is honestly one of the top three best hostels I’ve ever stayed in.
The rooms are spacious, with large lockers that are free to use, which is a big plus. There are three well-equipped kitchens, so cooking is easy even when the hostel is busy.
In the morning, guests can enjoy a free sauna, which is an amazing bonus and quite rare for a hostel. The laundry and dryer are very affordable, much cheaper than most places in Europe.
Overall, great facilities, excellent value for money, and a very comfortable stay. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to other travelers.
The hotel's breakfast was delicious; it was one of the more Asian-friendly options among the typical European hotels. The place definitely has a vintage feel, but the rooms were exceptionally clean.
The hot springs are quite large in Finland. It ends at 21 o'clock. You must remember to go early. We only checked in at 20:30 and couldn't make a good soak.
The hotel is very big and beautiful like a park, and there is a 60s labor at the door.
The hotel is a bit dated but was spotlessly clean. It's conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal. Nearby attractions such as Senate Square, the Synagogue, and the historic market are all within a 10-15 minute stroll.
Our room had a comfortable bed, and we appreciated the complimentary sauna. The breakfast was outstanding – very generous and delicious, highly recommended.
A minor point for improvement was the check-in process: Upon arriving around 11:30 AM, we were informed that our room was ready, but only if we paid an extra €20 for early check-in. Otherwise, it would be available at 1 PM as part of our standard booking. Also, in July, the air conditioning in our attic room struggled to keep the room cool.

Room was big and spacious. Breakfast was great and the staff were polite whenever I meet them along the way to the lift or back to my room. I would like to suggest if a dual card can be provided so that the room can be kept alight when the card key is removed and bring out as sometime the room is too dark and the door closes too fast before I can slot in the card. This hotel is close to the Helsinki central station and most of the itenary such as Helsinki cathedral or some of the nicely decorated library.

The hotel reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. They offer complimentary afternoon tea, coffee, alcoholic beverages, water, and snacks. It's close to the beach and the breakfast is plentiful. The room size was a bit small, but that's common for hotels in Europe.
Very good choice for late night arrival at HEL. Free transport from the airport is included in price. Comfortable bed, good breakfast, helpfull staff at the reception, especially when this is your first time in Helsinki. Late check out, at 12:00, so you definetely have plenty of time to rest after your flight.
I had an amazing stay on this hotel. The room is awesome and will most likely book this again when the price is reasonable relative to its competitors around the area.

The hotel’s location was perfect—just a 10-minute walk from Helsinki Central Station. The facilities were modern and spotless, and the free sauna (though small) was a nice bonus. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My only minor complaint was that the bed was a bit too soft. Overall, a fantastic stay!

AAnonymous UserCosy, spacious twin room. Semi-modern decor. Typical Finnish type rooms with double doors. Spacious bathroom, albeit wardrobe is a little small. Wide spread of variety for included breakfast. Right next to city center, perfect accessibility to many attractions and transportation
GGuest UserEverything was great overall, except that the receptionist gave us a rather complicated route to our room — we had to go up and down many stairs. Later, we discovered a much quicker and easier way to get there without taking any detours. And The cleanliness could also be improved.
GGuest UserOverall, my stay was great. The hotel is centrally located, making it super convenient to get around, and it's just a short walk to the train station. The hotel's facilities and environment were excellent, and the staff were warm and friendly. The breakfast was also rich and delicious. The only minor issue was that the air conditioning didn't seem very effective; even when set between 21-23 degrees Celsius, I barely felt any airflow. Luckily, I didn't get cold while sleeping. I wonder if this is due to Nordic energy-saving practices.
YYee11Stayed at Scandic Helsinki Aviapolis, a convenient airport hotel near Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. Overall, it was a good stay, ideal for transit travelers and short visits.
The hotel is just a few minutes from the airport, with a free shuttle service running every 20–30 minutes. It is also within walking distance of Aviapolis train station (about 15 minutes), making it easy to reach Helsinki city center. A major plus is the Jumbo Shopping Mall nearby, offering a variety of restaurants, shops, and a grocery store—perfect for those needing last-minute essentials or an alternative dining option.
The room was clean, modern, and functional, featuring comfortable bedding, a work desk, and a well-maintained bathroom with a walk-in shower and essential toiletries.
The breakfast buffet starts at 6 AM, offering a great selection of fresh bread, cold cuts, hot dishes, and Finnish specialties. For those with super early flights, a light breakfast is available from 4 AM.
Due to time constraints - I briefly checked out the gym and sauna in the basement which appeared well-maintained.
The staff was friendly and efficient, making check-in and check-out smooth. The overall atmosphere is modern and practical, making it a great choice for travelers catching an early flight or needing a short, comfortable stay near the airport.
AAzmann BScandic Simonkenttä Hotel is a very good choice for staying in Helsinki, especially for travelers who want a convenient and central location. The hotel is within walking distance from the main railway station, making it easy to get around the city, and it is located right in the city center, close to shopping areas and attractions.
The staff are friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, with a positive attitude and genuine smiles, which makes the stay more pleasant.
Breakfast is varied and interesting, with a good selection of food to start the day. However, it closes a bit early — breakfast ends at 10:00 AM, which may feel slightly rushed for guests who prefer a more relaxed morning.
The room is comfortable and warm, which is especially important during cold weather. Bathroom amenities are mostly complete, but toothbrushes and razors are not provided, which would be a nice addition for a hotel at this level. Aside from that, other amenities are well-prepared and sufficient.
Overall, Scandic Simonkenttä offers a comfortable stay, excellent location, and good service. With a few small improvements, especially regarding bathroom amenities and breakfast hours, it would be an even better experience.
VVinharound Travel Outlook⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Stay at Scandic Paasi – Clean, Stylish, and Comfortable
Our group of friends from Vietnam had a very pleasant stay at Scandic Paasi during our recent trip to Helsinki. Overall, the hotel was beautiful, clean, and offered very good quality for the price.
The rooms were modern, well-designed, and spotless. Beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and well-maintained, and everything felt neat and thoughtfully arranged. After long days exploring the city, it was a great place to rest and recharge.
We also loved the hotel’s unique design and cozy atmosphere—it felt modern but still warm and welcoming. The common areas were spacious and nicely decorated, perfect for relaxing or chatting together as a group.
The location was convenient, with easy access to public transportation, restaurants, and key attractions in Helsinki. Breakfast was another highlight: good variety, fresh ingredients, and a nice Scandinavian touch that our group really enjoyed.
Overall, Scandic Paasi delivered exactly what we were looking for: a clean, comfortable, and high-quality hotel experience. We would definitely recommend it to friends and would happily stay here again on our next visit to Helsinki.
OOrMaryVery nice and welcoming staff! Nice wait staff in the restaurant too. Nice little room. Would definitely come back! The wellness area was a bit pricey for an add on but really nice and chill when quiet! I just would have liked a staff member there to manage noise and groups as I wanted to go on my last night but it was very overcrowded with loud intimidating groups. The location was pretty good, out of the centre but very accessible by tram.
HHalf a century on the planet EarthThe location is 230M walk outside the airport. As the snow on the pavement can be deep. It will make this short walk a bit difficult. The check-in, luggage storage, and check out services were all efficiently arranged. The room is reasonably specious. Amenities are basic. There are a 2 in 1 shampoo+body wash, and a conditioner. There was a hair dryer but no kettle.food choices in the buffet breakfast were reasonably rich. As an airport hotel, it has a checkin kiosk in the lobby.
GGuest UserThe location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from the central train station and within walking distance to all the city's popular attractions. The room layout is spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a wide range of dining options. The service and staff at the hotel are very friendly and welcoming! We especially enjoyed the hotel's restaurant, which was open until 10pm, allowing us to enjoy dinner at the end of a day of sightseeing, and the food was delicious. We ate in the restaurant three times during our three night stay at the hotel, as the food was really excellent and the very professional staff there, Carina, was very friendly and welcoming. Thank you Carina!
