Photos of Mount Wakakusa

Wakakusa Mountain is located near Todaiji Temple and Kasuga Taisha Shrine. Visitors can climb it from the Spring Festival to the autumn, and you can see the scenery of Nara from the middle of the mountain. On the top of the mountain, there is an ancient burial mound with a round front and a back, and you can enjoy the beautiful night view of Nara from the top of the mountain at night. Wakakusa Mountain is very famous for the "Wakakusa Burning Mountain" festival, which is a traditional event held every January with fireworks and burning the mountain.
