On April 25, 2015, an earthquake with a magnitude of 8.1 occurred in Nepal, and the Narayan Temple was severely damaged and completely collapsed. Narayan is one of the incarnations of Shiva. The temple was built in the 17th century to worship Vishnu. The temple has a five-story plinth and three-story roof, and the window lattices are carved with ten incarnations of Shiva. In front of the temple, there is a Garuda with the head of an eagle and pointing at the temple, which adds a bit of mystery.
