Meinong is a place for Hakka people. There are many things to visit and experience in the folk village. It is very good. There are many places different from other places where you speak southern Anhui dialect.
The town of Meinong is very worth visiting. I think it is more interesting than the general art district, because this is a place for Hakka people. Usually, there is less contact with Hakka culture. Here you can learn about Hakka culture in Taiwan.
Mr. Shu Guozhi once revisited Taiwan, wrote an article, said that if you want to choose the most beautiful hometown in Taiwan, he will think of Meinong, whether it is Meinong's natural, humanistic, alleyway, and the life of the people, it is worth tasting, it is retaining a kind of Taiwan Shancun Tianjia's most typical old version of one Wherever. I have never been to Meinong. I know Meinong. Most of them only stay in his very famous Hakka town. Paper umbrellas and Hakka dishes are very famous. However, I saw Shu Guozhi write that Meinong's most attractive thing is "Jing". It is the most moving place that Meinong can't be himself. He describes the beautiful mountains as screens, always in the eyes, not far away; the fields like a flat mirror, always at the feet, green and watery. There is a slat street in Meinong, selling Hakka slats, we have a full meal here at night, very delicious Hakka cuisine, eat well, cheap and delicious.
Meinong Folk Village is far from Kaohsiung City, but after arriving, you can taste Hakka food here, such as tea, slats, Hakka fried, etc. You can also buy a variety of handwritten letters full of Hakka characteristics here.
