The actual steps may vary depending on the operating system version and device model.
 
[Installing eSIM]
*Each QR code can only be used on one mobile device. Once installed, it will be linked to that device and cannot be transferred to another.
 
Install directly within the Trip.com App:
For iOS users: Ensure your Trip.com App is updated to the latest version and your iPhone is running iOS 17.4 or later to install the eSIM directly in the App.
 
Scan QR code/Manual eSIM installation:
1. Open the QR code attachment in your Trip.com App booking and print it in advance or save it to another electronic device. (iOS 17+ and some Android phones can save the QR code image directly to the device)
2. Open "Cellular" (iOS) or "SIM card manager" (Android) in your settings.
3. With your phone connected to the Internet, tap "Add Cellular Plan" (iOS) or "Add SIM card" (Android) and scan the QR code to install.
4. If scanning fails, manually enter the "SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code" from your booking voucher.
5. If steps 3 or 4 fail, your phone may be network-locked by your permanent address carrier (unable to use other carrier frequency bands). Contact your carrier to unlock it before using eSIM.
 
[Using eSIM]
1. Turn off your primary SIM and enable the eSIM network
2. Enable "Cellular" (iOS) or "SIM card" (Android)
3. Turn on "Data Roaming"
4. If you still can't connect after these settings, configure APN and restart your device (see details below)
 
[About APN]
1. For multi-country/region eSIMs: If you can't connect when arriving in a new region, manually switch APN (normally switches automatically)
2. Setup steps:
iOS: Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Network
Android: Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network > Access Point Names (APN) > New APN or Edit APN
3. Enter APN:
APN: mobile.three.com.hk
4. Restart your phone

If you encounter issues, do not delete the installed eSIM. Send screenshots of your phone settings to customer support for quick assistance.
Change & cancellation policies
If a cancellation request is submitted before 00:00, 1 day(s) prior to the expiration date, no cancellation fee will be charged.
If a cancellation request is submitted after 00:00 1 day(s) before the expiration date, a fee of 100% will be charged.
Cancellation is not allowed once the product is activated.
If a discount is applied, the cancellation fee will be calculated based on the original price before the discount and will not exceed the amount paid.
Partial refund is not available.
Important note

Renewal instructions

Renewed bookings are only applicable to the device linked to the original booking and do not support device changes. If you need to change devices, please do not purchase a renewed booking.

When the data of the original booking's eSIM is used up, you can tap the "Renew" button on the original booking page to purchase a renewed booking. The renewed option and expiration date will be automatically added to the original booking.

If the eSIM from the original booking has not been removed from the device, there is no need to reinstall the eSIM. You can directly use the renewed data plan.


[Activation Rules for Renewed Bookings]

Daily data/Data pack: After the data in your original booking option is used up, the Internet speed will slow down, but the renewed data will only be activated after the original option's coverage period ends. If you need to terminate the original booking option early and activate the renewed data, please contact customer support.


Disable domestic SIM card roaming

Before using an eSIM, be sure to turn off data roaming for your domestic SIM card to avoid using your domestic mobile network and incurring high international roaming charges. You are responsible for any related costs, including roaming fees, overseas SIM card/eSIM purchase fees, and transportation expenses. No additional compensation will be provided.

To maintain network quality and uphold fair usage principles (FUP), telecom companies may implement controls on users who consume large amounts of data in a short period, which could result in inability to access the Internet or slower speeds. To ensure normal Internet access, please avoid activities that consume excessive data, such as prolonged video streaming/downloading, software updates, or sharing your network (hotspot).
