Carrie5569: This hotel offers great value for money, and my friends and I had a really comfortable and enjoyable stay. The room size was decent and sufficient, and it was clean and tidy. It's very close to Sendai Station, about an 8-minute walk. I stayed here a few days ago and liked it so much that I came back for another night yesterday.

tinazhao888: The hotel's location is excellent. The reception is on the 4th floor of the building, which also houses the Shinkansen and JR stations. Inside the building, you'll find plenty of dining options, a supermarket, and shops. The surrounding area is bustling with even more shopping malls. It's incredibly convenient on a rainy day, as you can spend half the day exploring without even stepping outside. It's also super easy for train travel; just go downstairs, and you're there, saving time on commuting and waiting. The breakfast is also quite diverse.

Anonymous User: Chose this hotel for a weekend getaway with friends. Upon arrival, we found the facilities to be really comprehensive. All the daily essentials like air conditioning, TV, and hot water were there. While some equipment wasn't the newest, everything worked smoothly without any issues. The hygiene was also excellent; the bedding looked super clean, and there was no dust on the floors or tables. It was a very comfortable stay. I'd definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area 🏨

Guest User: The room was decent; for Japan, the triple room I booked was quite spacious. It's conveniently located, just a short walk from Sendai Station via the pedestrian bridge. It's also close to the shopping district and restaurants, most of which are within walking distance.

nninggg: True to the description, it's extremely close to the station!! As a newly built hotel, both the exterior and interior are spotless, and the freezer worked great. There's no bathtub, but I don't really use one anyway so it didn't matter. Communicating with the staff via email was also a great experience as they were very friendly~ Rates are high on weekends, but average to affordable on weekdays. I was so satisfied that I'd definitely book this hotel again if I visit Sendai–!

Bajindaren: The Asahi Shimbun building is right next door, haha! I was always so curious about it when watching Detective Conan. Sendai's beef tongue is absolutely amazing; I ate it twice nearby. I used to not like beef tongue, but now I can't get enough of it! I even got a stationery tissue box from B Shop from a gachapon, so lucky!

MSMD: I’d say the hotel was reasonable for the price. The cleanliness was average , there was a slightly musty smell in the room and an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. I also had trouble sleeping, as the bed and pillow weren’t very comfortable for me. Other than that, everything was fine. I especially appreciated the staff, they were very helpful during check-in and quickly arranged a different pillow for me. The service was excellent and very responsive.

Anonymous User: The Japanese breakfast was a set menu and very exquisite. When I checked in in the afternoon, someone was playing the piano. During breakfast and check-out, someone was playing the flute. It was a wonderful experience. There's a large public bath where you can relax. The room was clean and tidy. They even provided a complimentary bag to carry clothes to the public bath.

Saqimaqiduo: Whenever I travel around Japan, if there's a Daiwa Roynet Hotel near the station, I almost always choose it because it's truly excellent in every aspect. It's a convenient 10-minute walk from Sendai Station's West Exit, making it super easy to get to attractions by public transport or on foot. There are tons of shops and restaurants nearby, which is great but can be tough for indecisive people like me. The rooms are spacious, and the attention to detail is very thoughtful. Plus, the breakfast includes sashimi, which is a big bonus! They also allow overnight luggage storage, which is another huge plus. I've done this before at the Daiwa Roynet in Takamatsu, and they're consistently excellent! Oh, but you do need to have another reservation with them afterwards for the luggage storage.

Anonymous User: I travel to Sendai frequently for business, and I feel this hotel offers the best value for money. It's about a seven or eight-minute walk from Sendai Station. The hotel has an overall light-colored ambiance, making it very bright. The common areas, hallways, elevators, and rooms are all quite spacious, never feeling cramped. There's also a thoughtfully designed lounge area. In terms of details, the room layout is practical, allowing multiple suitcases to be opened. The TV is relatively new and large, and there's a sofa. The service is also quite attentive; they give you a facial mask upon check-in, the skincare products are Sekkisei, and the toothbrush is of higher quality than most hotels. You can really feel the care they put into it.

Last mid-April, I went cherry blossom viewing in Sendai with my travel buddies. Centered around Sendai, we also visited Shibata Town and Ishinomaki, capturing many beautiful cherry blossom shots. From city parks to riverside thousand-cherry blossom rows, and even seaside cherry blossom hills, spring in Miyagi is more layered than expected. Here’s a three-day cherry blossom route for friends who love to check in at lesser-known cherry blossom spots for some reference. · Day❶ Sendai City Citywalk 🚄 Ueno ➡︎ Sendai Shinkansen about 1.5h 🌸 Tohoku University Second visit to Tohoku University, the campus has many cherry blossoms, and the historic buildings make for great photos. You can also visit 🆓 the museum introducing Lu Xun’s life in Japan. 👣 Walk from Sendai Station 🌸 Nishi Park Sakuraoka Hanami A popular cherry blossom viewing spot in Sendai city, with many cherry trees in the park. Instead, take a moment to "walk" and let yourself be immersed in the rhythm of the city under the evening lights. 🏮 Iroha Yokocho: A timeless chapter that remains open We begin at a small alley under the glow of red lanterns. This place feels like time has paused, allowing us to soak in the warmth of tradition before continuing our journey. 🏙️ Sunmall Ichibancho: The light of new beginnings From the narrow alley, we step into a historic street with a large arched roof, "Sunmall," symbolizing the light of city revival after the war. Both sides of the street are lined with Showa-era shops and cozy cafes that operate at a leisurely pace. ✨ Clis Road: A street of smiles and raindrops Next, we move to the bustling Clis Road (Clear & Smile), a street where locals truly live their lives. The polished stone pavement reflects the glow of shop signs on a rainy night, creating a moving painting as people pass by. 🏛️ Marble Road Omachi: Quiet elegance We end at a street paved with marble, blending modernity with warmth. But Sendai Asaichi (仙台朝市) has a different charm, because some stalls don't just sell fish; they offer "standing sushi" that you can enjoy right there. It's no wonder that so many YouTubers review this place. The atmosphere is quite different from the big fish markets in other cities – the freshness is evident, with chefs slicing the fish right in front of the stalls, and the authentic way locals stand to eat sushi early in the morning. It's a simple yet powerful culinary experience. As I walked past, seeing the chefs slicing and serving the fish to the people next to me, the aroma and the sight were incredibly tempting. But at that moment, I couldn't because I was under immense time constraints. I had to rush back to check out of my hotel and then immediately check in at the airport. It was a strange feeling; seeing the deliciousness that everyone's reviewing on social media right in front of me, but all I could do was walk past. I could only remember that image and promise myself that next time I'm in Sendai, I'll definitely try it. Rinnō-ji, Sendai Located in the northern part of Sendai City, Rinnō-ji is a temple of the Sōtō Zen sect, a historical landmark of Sendai. Originally built in the 15th century, it was moved to its current location in the early Edo period under the patronage of the Date family. Rinnō-ji is characterized by its simplicity, reflecting the essence of Zen. The original wooden buildings are free of lavish ornamentation. The centerpiece of the temple is its Zen garden, which utilizes the Japanese gardening technique known as Shakkei (Borrowed Scenery), where the surrounding landscape blends with the temple's interior elements, such as ponds, rocks, and shaded trees, to create an atmosphere conducive to mindfulness. Traces of Time Within the temple grounds are an ancient cemetery from the Edo period, housing important figures, including monks, devotees, and members of the Date family.
