Guest User: It was an excellent stay at Scarman for me. The room I stayed in was clean, quiet and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel has a good range of food for breakfast and the selection of food for lunch & dinner was not huge but the food was delicious. I went to the University of Warwick to attend my son's graduation which the venue for the ceremony was within walking distance. To sum up, I am impressed with this hotel and will definitely stay here again.

I’m from Coventry and used to visit this place frequently when it was open on select days. Some fantastic changes have been made recently. My girlfriend and I had afternoon tea at Tales of Tea and I wanted to show her the guildhall. The staff were very friendly, and as mentioned, there are some nice new features. The first room introduces the city’s history and its significance through time. Next is the kitchen, where a staff member shared some interesting details about the room. Then came the hall, which left my girlfriend audibly gasping—it’s breathtaking, with stunning stained glass windows and the Coventry tapestry. Adjacent to the hall is a room displaying royal standards across history and various monarchs. Upstairs, there's the room where Mary Queen of Scots was held. Overflowing with Coventry’s rich heritage, this is a must-visit for anyone curious about the city’s past.
An All-in-One Luxury Retreat Close to Coventry
Just a quick 15-minute taxi ride from Coventry, this hotel is a true treasure. It's elegant yet unpretentious, offering a seamless experience. With a golf club, spa, hotel, restaurant, and bar, everything you need is conveniently available at a reasonable price. The rooms are clean and stylish, while the Loft 18 restaurant and Scott's bar deliver exceptional food and hospitality. The staff are warm and welcoming. The spa, integrated into the venue, includes a pool, sauna, steam room, and gym—absolutely perfect!
Exceptional Stay with Impeccable Service and Cleanliness
I booked a room through a third-party site, prioritizing secure parking and a central location. The hotel, just a 60-second walk from Coventry railway station, conveniently shares a multi-storey car park with the station. Using the discounted rate for parking, it only cost £6.00. Upon entering, the quirky entrance with a vintage car in the foyer and tasteful dark décor made a unique impression. The receptionist, Alfie, was exceptional—warm and welcoming, even at 8 pm. He quickly handled the check-in and informed me about the discounted parking. As a pleasant surprise, I was upgraded to a suite, which was much appreciated. The vintage newspaper-themed lift décor, showcasing Coventry news events, was a charming detail—I found myself enjoying the ride just to read more. Although it was a weekend, the 3rd floor was extremely quiet, and the hotel’s soundproofing effectively blocked out noise from the surrounding main roads. Entering my suite, I initially found the bed's positioning odd, as it wasn’t against a wall. However, it made sense due to the TV’s location, though I still feel the bed could be positioned differently to optimize space. The open wardrobe with quirky hand-shaped clothes hooks added character, and the little cartoon character on the shelf intrigued me—it resembled an evil “Where's Wally.” The lounge area was spacious, featuring floor-to-ceiling curtains that blocked light exceptionally well. The room came well-equipped with a coffee machine, mini-fridge, and a wide selection of beverages. The bed was huge and outstandingly comfortable, with some of the best pillows and bedding I’ve experienced. It was exceptionally clean, with ample lighting and convenient USB ports and sockets on both sides. The bathroom was impressive: a spacious walk-in shower with powerful hot water and a freestanding roll-top bath (though I didn’t get to use it during my overnight stay). The provided toiletries were not wall-mounted and had a delightful scent. The standout feature? The impeccable cleanliness. The room felt brand-new, with not a single mark in the shower or sinks—flawlessly maintained. The hotel team deserves the highest praise, and the efforts of the Indigo/IHG group management in maintaining such standards are commendable. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to revisiting in the future.
