🌊✨ Underrated Spot in Jbeil, Lebanon — The Harbour Side 🇱🇧

Most travellers come to Jbeil (Byblos) for the old souq and ancient ruins, but don’t miss the beautiful harbour side! 🌅⛵ This peaceful area is one of the hidden gems of Jbeil, where you can enjoy the Mediterranean view, traditional fishing boats and the charming atmosphere of the old coastal city.

What surprised me the most? I didn’t see many tourists here — mostly locals enjoying the relaxing view and the calm environment. 🤍✨ Sometimes the best travel experiences are not the famous attractions, but the places where you can feel the real lifestyle of the people.

Take a walk around the harbour, enjoy the sunset and slow down for a moment. 🌊🇱🇧 Definitely an underrated spot that deserves a place in your Lebanon itinerary!

🇱🇧 Lebanon 2021 ✨ | From Beirut’s Energy to Byblos History

My 2021 trip to Lebanon was one of the most diverse and memorable travel experiences I’ve had. I stayed mainly in Beirut, which is full of life, cafés, and seaside views. From there, I explored several incredible places including Our Lady of Lebanon (the famous Mary statue) where the panoramic view over the coast is absolutely stunning, especially around sunset. I also visited Jounieh, which has a beautiful marina and relaxing atmosphere.

One of the highlights of the trip was Jeita Grotto, a natural wonder with breathtaking cave formations that truly exceeded my expectations. I also explored Byblos, one of the oldest cities in the world, where history and charm come together through its old streets, port, and castle. Another great stop was Sidon (Saida), where I visited the old souks and seaside castle, giving a more traditional and authentic feel of Lebanon.

Getting around was easiest by taxi or private car, as public transport is limited. Distances between cities are short, so it’s possible to visit multiple places in one day. Lebanese food is a highlight don’t miss mezze, grilled meats, and fresh seafood, especially in coastal cities like Jounieh and Byblos. Prices were reasonable for food and transport, though it depends on the area.

Tips: Start your day early to cover multiple locations, visit Jeita Grotto before noon to avoid crowds, and plan sunset time at Harissa for the best views. Lebanon offers a unique mix of nature, history, and culture in a compact area, making it perfect for a short but rich trip. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something different and memorable.
