Dreaming of epic cliffs, sun-kissed beaches, and pastries that’ll ruin you for all other desserts? Here’s my ultimate whirl through Sorrento, the jaw-dropping Amalfi Coast, Positano, and historic Viterbo 🏖️🍋

Top Spots to Visit:
Sorrento: The perfect chill base! Start in the heart of Sorrento (Metropolitan City of Naples, always open) and catch a SITA bus for unbeatable cliffside views—seriously, don’t pay for a tour.
Amalfi Coast: Hop off in Amalfi (84011 Amalfi, Province of Salerno, all day) for those postcard-perfect alleys, and maybe grab a lemon gelato for ultimate main character energy.
Positano: Drop by Positano (84017 Positano, SA), grab a beach picnic and enjoy people-watching—Italy’s national sport. Pro tip: A carton of local wine from the supermarket rivals any waterfront bar (and it’s cheaper than water!).
Beach Picnic: Find a quieter patch near Positano to soak up some sun, snack, shop for souvenirs, and just vibe.
Monastero Di Santa Rosa: Don’t miss the original sfogliatella and Napoli pastries at Via Santa Rosa, 33, Viterbo (09:30–12:30 Mon, 09:30–12:30 & 16:00–19:00 Tue–Sun). Totally worth the detour and calories.

Getting Around: Forget renting a car. The SITA bus is affordable, stress-free, and delivers those iconic Amalfi panorama shots, friendly to solo traveller.
Eat & Drink: Load up at a supermarket for picnic supplies (trust me: picnic > overpriced café sandwiches), and if you want wine, go for the carton—iconic, thrifty, Italian.
Travel Hack: Buses can get packed in high season—go early or late. Always pack a swimsuit (even off-season, just in case).

I love traveling Viterbo Italy

#travel2026 #travel #Seascapes #Staycation Itinerary (contest)
Discovering Viterbo in Lazio, Italy, was a highlight of my Italian adventure – a medieval gem with papal history and thermal springs. I enjoyed aperitivi at local spots like Ciuffo Cantina dei Papi, tasting regional wines and pasta while soaking in the authentic atmosphere. As a foodie, the fresh ingredients inspired my cooking ideas, and I did pilates in the quiet squares for relaxation. Viterbo is a dream for history buffs with its underground tunnels and palaces; it’s less crowded than Rome, offering a genuine Italian experience. Highly recommended for a cultural escape with a touch of wellness.
How to get around: Rome airport trains (1hr); walk old town; buses; taxis; drive A1.
Must-see: Papal Palace; San Pellegrino quarter; thermal baths; Etruscan museum; profferli staircases; Piazza del Plebiscito.
Hotel: Balletti Park (spa, €120+); Alla Corte delle Terme (thermal, €100+); Mini Palace (budget, €80+).
Food: Pasta all’amatriciana, porchetta at osterias (€20-30); wines; veggie salads/herbs.
Shopping: Local markets crafts/cheese/wine; Via Roma fashion/jewelry. Historic, cards, Wi-Fi.
1. Address: Palazzo dei Papi, Piazza San Lorenzo, Viterbo Highlights: Gothic palace, papal history, views. Rating: 4.7/5
2. Address: Quartiere San Pellegrino, Viterbo Highlights: Medieval alleys, profferli stairs, charm. Rating: 4.6/5
3. Address: Terme dei Papi, Strada Bagni, Viterbo Highlights: Natural hot springs, spa relaxation. Rating: 4.5/5
