位于上海植物园二号门进口处，为了纪念元代纺织革新者黄道婆而设的一处祠堂，外观风格上采用了简化的苏式园林建筑，园墙、小河、壁照、盆景、亭廊一样不少，加上二间主厅，布置紧凑、十分袖珍。前厅为纺织历史馆，主要介绍了黄道婆的身平历史与贡献，包括一些古董级的松江土布和专门介绍黄道婆的史册与连环画！后厅则是纺织机具馆，陈列着古代纺织手工业者使用的木质织布机与手摇纺车。祠堂内还有一个高点就是黄母手举纺梭春风满面的雕刻石像，非常传神。

黄母祠又名先棉祠，是为纪念黄道婆传授纺织技术、造福乡里的功绩而建。1981年，祠址被划进植物园内。1991年有关部门将旧祠重新修复，分纪念馆、陈列堂和莲花池游憩小区三部分。按原样修复的黄婆庙为六架梁五开间歇山顶建筑，室内陈列黄道婆生平事迹。
