Sleep Staff I really enjoy going to zoos. I have been to Ueno Zoo in Japan, Taipei Zoo, Shenzhen Safari Park, and Singapore Night Safari, each with its own unique features. In comparison, Shanghai Zoo is just an ordinary zoo. Animals commonly found in zoos, such as elephants, orangutans, pandas, and penguins, can also be found here, along with typical animal feeding interaction activities. So why is such an ordinary place worth visiting? The greenery here is well maintained, with many shaded areas, making it very comfortable to stroll around. The park also features gardens, flower beds, streams, ponds, and waterfalls, offering nice scenery. The air is fresh with no unpleasant odors, and most animal enclosures are open-style. Most importantly, our main stars are all lively and energetic; none of them are lazy! I’m not sure if this is related to the time of entry. We entered right at 8:00 AM when the gates opened, and there weren’t many visitors. Many animals were having breakfast. It was delightful to see the tiger enjoying a big meat steak, the elephant eating grass using both its trunk and feet, the hippo dad grazing nearby, and the hippo baby sunbathing next to its mom. The park is not large and can be toured in about two hours. Because it’s not big, it’s perfect for taking kids! We finally got our annual pass at our favorite Shanghai Zoo, so we can come here to daydream anytime. I think this is the most beautiful park in Shanghai.
