Ski Cloudcroft is located at an altitude of nearly 2,700 meters and is a rare year-round ski destination in the southern part of the state. The ski resort is small in scale and focuses on family-friendly and novice-friendly experiences. It has beginner and intermediate ski slopes, gentle terrain and moderate traffic, suitable for children's skiing lessons and novice practice. The ski equipment rental office provides basic equipment at an affordable price.
In summer, the ski resort is transformed into a mountain bike and hiking base, and many forest trails can explore spruce forests and alpine meadows. The mountaintop observation deck has a wide view, and on a clear day you can see the white gypsum dunes of White Sands National Park. The snow station has a simple restaurant bar Cloudcroft Cafe, which serves American hot drinks and burgers, and the open-air seats are often "patronized" by squirrels.
Note: When the snowfall is unstable, you can call to confirm the opening status; anti-skid chains are required for self-driving, as some mountain roads are prone to ice in winter.
