Xihemen is located in the middle of the middle road outside the Chaozhong Road and the west side of Taihemen. It was built in the 18th year of Ming Yongle (1420), and was first named You Shunmen. In April of 36th year of Ming Jiajing (1557), the three temples were burned down and rebuilt the following year.
