Qibaishi Former Residence Memorial Hall is located in Yuer Hutong No. 13, Dongcheng District, Beijing, is a courtyard building built in the middle of the Qing Dynasty, for the cultural relics protection unit of Dongcheng District, Beijing. In 1955, under the care of Premier Zhou Enlai, the Ministry of Culture allocated funds to buy and provide Qi Baishi to live in the art master, and Baishi created many important works here in his later years, entering the last glory period of art. After Qi Baishi died, No. 13 was used as a creative place for painters of Beijing Painting Academy. In 2011, with the strong support of the Beijing Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government, the Beijing Painting Academy restored the building to the life and creative environment of the elderly in their later years.
