The "Temple of True Silentness" of the Liao Dynasty Grottoes is the Lindong Houzhaomiao Grottoes Temple, located in Chaganhada Sumu, Balinzuo Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, in a valley 15 kilometers north of the Liaoshangjing site and 300 kilometers away from Chifeng. This is a Buddhist resort, and there are 110 statues of Buddha in relief. The grottoes are excavated on the steep wall in the southeast of Taoshi Mountain, and are divided into three caves: middle, south and north. In front of the cave is the Lama Temple "Shanfu Temple" built in the Qing Dynasty. The four characters "Temple of True Silentness" are engraved on the eyebrows of the Middle Grotto, which is the title of the caves dug in the Liao Dynasty. The word "true silence" is consistent with the meaning of "passing away" of Sakyamuni in Zhongzhong Cave. There are several statues of Buddha disciples around the statue of Sakyamuni Buddha in the cave, in the form of compassion. There are more than a hundred statues of thousands of Buddhas on the walls of the cave, with different images. The statue in the southern cave is a Buddha, and two Bodhisattvas, Manjushri and Samantabhadra, who ride on a lion and an elephant, are on both sides. The north cave is divided into two chambers, the outer chamber is the same as the south cave, and the inner chamber statues are all reliefs, with Buddha, disciples and supporters. On the stone walls on both sides of the mouth of the peach stone valley, there are two embossed statues of King Kong warriors, which are very vivid. One east and one west, each holds a vajra pestle, and steps on the two ghosts. On the rock walls and boulders, there are many Sanskrit characters carved in the Qing Dynasty. :"Mantra". There are also several grottoes in the valley near the "Temple of True Silentness", including the ruins of Hongfu Temple and Kaihua Temple recorded in the history of Liaoning. The brick-wood Lama Temple in front of the grotto.
It is worth going, the nearest distance to see the stone carvings, there are not many people, but the most worth coming.
The cultural atmosphere is very strong, the Liao Dynasty culture is mainly, listening to the introduction of the tour guide sister, I feel very shocked
People of faith can visit the attractions here to learn about local religious folk culture.
I walked there in high school. It's lonely. It's beautiful.
Never thought that in the hinterland of the Inner Mongolia grassland, there is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery hidden. Since Liaoning, a unique chapter has been written in the long river of history. Faced with the strong sun, the colorful scriptures danced with the wind, and the chanting of monks penetrated through the grotto temple. If you weren't standing in the highlands and looking at the undulating grassy mountains in the distance, you would think that you would return to the Tibetan Plateau. The temple is actually a combination of two temples, crossing time and faith, and integrating. The temple under Lingyan Mountain is Shanfu Temple. At first glance, it is not much different from the ordinary temple temple. When I stepped into the temple, I found that there was another world. Shanfu Temple was built on the mountain, and the mountain grottoes connected with it were the true silence temple preserved to this day in the Liao Dynasty. The temple is a four-grotto and two-dot-style, with 112 Buddha statues in size. The Buddha's nirvana is said to be a statue of the Buddha lying on the west side of the right hand side of the south pillow of the north foot of the head, and the reclining Buddha in the temple is the only statue in the world.
