Guguan Great Wall

58 reviews

Guguan Great Wall is 35 kilometers away from Pingding County and 15 kilometers away from Niangziguan. The Guguan Great Wall was built in Zhongshan and restored in the Ming Dynasty. The main ruins now include the southern section of the Great Wall from Guguan to Jiangjunyu to Baihuikou, about 7000 meters long, the northern section of the Great Wall through Cenhoudi to Niangziguan Jiayugou about 13,000 meters, the city wall is 2 meters wide and 3-4 meters high, all built according to the mountain. Build with stone. There are forts, beacon towers, and outposts on the important high points of the wall. There are 11 forts and piers, 2 beacon towers, 1 outpost, 1 medicine building and 3 enemy buildings. The Great Wall of Guguan has two gates, east and west. The west gate has a strong barn city, and there are double eaves and Xieshan Guanlou on the gate. Guguan Great Wall has a dangerous terrain, a long history and deep ancient post roads. Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty passed through this place on a west tour, and praised the majesty of this pass. He wrote a poem "Crossing the Guguan": "The bird's way into the clouds, the scenery is full of deserts, the people are standing on the dangerous ground, the city is over the mountains, and the folk houses are simple and simple. There are many talents and heroes, Qinquan connects the north of Hebei, and looking back refers to Qingcong." The Guguan of the dangerous fortress was called "Little Badaling" by Mr. Luo Zhewen, a Chinese cultural relic expert and vice president of the Great Wall Society of my country. The Guguan Great Wall is now a unique landscape on the east gate and Taijiu Expressway.

It was a lot of fun, but it was too hot the day I went, so I only got to the waterfall and only experienced half of it! There were too few staff members, and I couldn't find anyone to ask for directions; I had to ask the business owners inside. Parking is allowed in front of the entrance, and the traffic police don't stop you, which is great.

Overall, it was good. I came here recently because there was a time-travel event in Shaanxi. Shanxi's tourism industry is quite well-developed, and it truly has a rich history and profound cultural heritage.

Hidden deep in the Taihang Mountains, this ancient village boasts a thousand-year-old pristine environment. Its cave dwellings are nestled against the mountainside, creating a charming atmosphere. With few people and a tranquil atmosphere free from commercialization, it's an ideal off-the-beaten-path destination for a short, relaxing getaway.

I have seen many sections of the Great Wall in Beijing, and Guguan is very unique. It is majestic and full of vicissitudes. The deep ruts on the ground quietly tell us its history. My son had a lot of fun. He climbed up the wooden ladder and climbed up the Fengshang Beacon Tower to overlook the surroundings, with temples nearby and mountains in the distance.

The Hundred Regiments Campaign Memorial Hall was built on the top of Lion Head Mountain in Yangquan City, because Lion Head Mountain was also a battlefield of the Hundred Regiments Campaign. The exhibition hall displays the glorious achievements of the Hundred Regiments Campaign and the heroic deeds of the Eighth Route Army and the broad masses of people in the war of resistance. At the same time, it also exposes the crimes of the Japanese invaders invading China.
