The firefly viewing area is a bit far from the city center, and traffic can be quite congested at that time. Even so, a taxi ride there and back shouldn't be too expensive. The entrance fee is only 18 Malaysian Ringgit, but our family of four spent over 2,000 Ringgit, which was too pricey. It's best to hire a car and go there on your own. Going early in the daytime is also an option; there are daytime Johor cruises and Chinese-run restaurants that looked quite nice.

Singh Sindhu, our tour guide was very friendly and explained in great detail all the history of Malacca, which was complete with lunch at Peranakan Nyonya and the city was very beautiful to visit. Thank you to Arif who brought us back safely.

It was a wonderful experience. The driver was very talkative and introduced things about Malaysia along the way. Upon arrival, you can have a Malaysian meal and see some animals (although I suspect those animals are only for show 🤣), but it was still a very fun experience. The children were thrilled to see so many fireflies twinkling on both banks of the river while on the boat. We were very grateful that fireflies even flew onto our hands.

It was a tour that allowed us to efficiently see Malacca in one day. It's a hot place, so be sure to stay hydrated and take precautions against sunburn!

It was an amazing experience! This is definitely underrated, it was a little bit scary at the beginning but once we started familiar with the jetski and we had so much fun🥰 the captain is so experienced and helpful, took a lot of good videos and photos for us👍
