Alessandro was a phenomenal tour guide. She is a Pompeii archaeologist in the summer months and tour guide off season- so she really knows her stuff. She was so informative and we learnt loads. Had we not booked a tour we wouldn’t have had a clue what anything really was. I would 100% recommend booking a tour. Worth every penny. She answered all the questions the kids had and more.

We were 10 mins late for our tour due to the cancellation of an earlier train from Sorrento. We informed our tour guide Pierluigi right away through Whats App and he promptly replied. It was very kind of him and the small group who waited for us. The tour is informative and Pierluigi is very knowledgeable. Happy to be part of this tour!

I would highly recommend this tour. Our guide Anna was extremely personable and knowledgeable. She knew very well how to navigate through the crowds while still giving us great insight into the lives of the people that used to live there. Wear comfortable shoes as the streets are bumpy and bring some water. The headsets really help to hear her when around a lot of other people.

It was an amazing and diverse experience. Daniel provided a thorough and informative tour of Pompeii and you could tell he was very passionate about his homeland. Our driver was energetic and kept the atmosphere light. The food and wine tasting was excellent and I learned a lot about the different kinds of wines. The hostess was very knowledgeable of the food that was presented and clearly proud of what was presented. Bring a horse lover I looked forward to our ride. Our guide, Alex, was patient with everyone and led us through a beautiful vineyard. Rain was on its way so we ended a little sooner than expected but it was still a lovely ride.

I cannot begin to describe how amazing the guided tour was. Alessandra was spectacular with her depth of knowledge and skills of an excellent guide providing wonderful insights into the daily life of a Pompeii resident and encouraging you to imagine the splendour of the place that once was. I would absolutely recommend the guided tour as opposed to exploring by yourself, which you can always do after the tour. Plan to spend a good part of the day at the ruins as there is quite a lot to explore. Tip: Ask to be booked on tour with Alessandra and you'd have an amazing time.
